Jigantro shrugged when she said she didn't know. "Oh well, I guess I really can't make you say anything, so I will leave that question at that." He found out all that he needed from her alarm. "Well, Doronel won't really be help to any side, he only mocks. He is powerful, but I see his side from it, he exerts too much power, they will begin to come to him like roaches for their wants, he doesn't exert any, this fight won't end. He is stuck."

Yuuki had to almost restrain herself from not yelling even more. Was this man really so blind to the plights of others? She wondered silently how many family and friends he had seen die. She knew at least one.
"why you ask? Like I said before, the preventment of human and even vampire life. What may have made this war different from anything is that unlike in the past where they may have been trying to kill the other side off, this time, while there will be fighting, we know we won't be able to get past this, but we are making talks with the vampires leader constance and her second tramer. Even your influence might have an effect, knowing that you are on our side."
But Yuuki knew the one thing that just might convince him, whiloe he wouldn't fight for her mother, maybe, just maybe, he would fight for his granddaughter.
"And tehre's one last thing, that I at least want you to know before I go into this war." Taking off the necklace she constantly wears under her clothes, she takes it off and holds it in front of her, in Doronel's plain sight. "This was my mother's most precious possesion. Do you know of the late witch known as Fuyu Collins, ne Marinvo?"

Personally Dorenel didn't think that talks would happen, especially after one had intruded upon his domain. But, he would never rule out any possibility unless there was clear evidence against it.
Perhaps this was something he should look into. He had been criticized at times that he wasn't out going enough, though was joining a war becoming more a part of the world or over extending himself. No, direct action tended to be less taxing than the indirect.
It was a lot to think about it and he was sure that Yuuki wanted a quick answer. Then she did one last thing that struck Dorenel's previous thoughts out of his mind. Yuuki had revealed a necklace, one that Dorenel himself had made. It was a gift for his daughter many years ago.
He did not know how to respond to this. So many thing went through his mind. Subtleties that he hadn't noticed struck him with new found clarity. The day Yuuki had first come to visit him he felt something familiar about her. At the time he thought that it was just the fact that they shared common powers. Now however he recognized that Yuuki looked much like her mother, both then and now.
He took another look at the past years. Many things he had wondered about now made perfect sense. One thing left to be answered though Yuuki's father had always referred to Fuyu as Fuyu Marinvo.
His thoughts resolved Dorenel answered, "You created a signal beacon, what was it for? And before you leave. Tell me how did Fuyu die, I don't think your father ever gave me an accurate answer."
((Sorry it took so long to respond but it was hard to compose a good response.))

Iana's brow completing furrowed. Why was Dorenel the current topic of discussion. Had something happened between the elder and the one she now spoke to.
Curious as to why Jigantro bought this up she prodded, "Have you spoken to him recently?"
She agreed with the other's observation. Dorenel wouldn't choose sides. He had made that much clear. She had no reason to believe that he would take part in any of it. Was it cowardice that kept him out of the direct action, she wondered. Secretly she that that wasn't the case.

Jigantro smiled, there was no real reason to keep a secret that mattered none. "Yes, actually, I did speak to him. He only sopke in riddles, though, and mocked my race. Obviously I didn't get an answer from him, but I did get a small glimpse of his powers. And to settle your curiosity, I'll tell you what I asked. I merely asked if he knew of what my interpretations of my pages were true. He said he didn't know and if he were lying, he hid his face well." Jigantro paused for a moment, biting his tongue from what he was about to say. "Oh, you better watch your back, Constance is out and about tonight." He left the conversation at that, awaiting if she will say anything.

When concerning Dorenel Iana knew from experience that it was best to attempt answering one's own questions. The old warlock good for history lessons though. At least that's what she had concluded from the visit she had made not too long ago. She pondered what Jigantro said, but still found her own need to research into Destiny's 'predicament' with Trena trumped this current drawl in conversation. Then her attention was completely captured when Jigantro's warning came.
"Hmmm.. note taken," she replied. Truthfully she knew that the idea of the leader of the vampire's being out and about should bother her a bit. Even put her on edge, but it didn't. Iana was pretty sure that having that knowledge would make no difference from all the other times she traversed the streets at night. There was the fact that the hunters would be convening in less than a day's time. Surely this bit of information hadn't made it to her ears yet or had it?

Jigantro cursed the rain because he couldn't see what her expression was. "So tell me, do you believe in this war at hand? I didn't ask at our last confrontation, nor the one before that. You already know my stand in this. But I do not know yours. You stand with the humans, but do you know why you're fighting?" He wanted to know, if he drowned down the human army, so be it.

A heavy sigh passed though Iana's lips as she pondered the question at hand. "To believe is to have trust in some thing's existence or meaning. It's evident that the vampires and hunters are experiencing a conflict. In that way I believe in this war. Do I think it will lead to anything promising? That's something I can't answer. The most I can do is help those that pose the least threat to current condition of now. I am a healer after all." She let a confident smirk grace her feature with that last declaration.
Though she followed asking "And you? Do you feel that this war has a purpose?" Iana barely remembered where she had been headed before this conversation began. The rain only added to adverting her focus.

Jigantro sighed as well, he had to repeat this speech again. "Like before, I find this conflict pointless, nothing will derive from it. Vampires win, we get the night, as we already do, humans win, we hide during the day, like we already do. Nothing will change unless one side is completely void from this earth, which won't happen." He looked up at the pouring sky, it was darker than before, but it rained the same. "So now you know my stand, again, does it change you at all?"

Iana felt a tug of regret as the irritated speech met her ears. Yes, she somewhat remembered hearing this, but so much had happened since then. "I guess not. Whether we join in or not, it will still occur. I for one, know that just maybe I can help save a few lives in the conflict." This was what it really came to for her. Her decision was solely based on her need to help. It just so happened that humans were easier to aid.

"In what do you mean lives? Human lives, or vampire lives? Do you really expect to be fully nocturnal for this conflict at hand?" Jigantro wanted to know exactly what she meant by 'lives'. "If you saw a human stab a vampire during this conflict and the vampire only caused a flesh wound on the human's side, who would you help? You need to specify those with which can cause malice consent."

She shook her head, causing bits of water fling about. "You're taking this too deep. I've already chosen a side. I'm not neutral in that prospect. Though I will only defend." She didn't want to admit aloud that offense wasn't her strong point. Her father had taught her offensive maneuvers, but she just didn't have motivation to carry them out. Then to answer his first question her tone was a bit weaker, "I don't know if my powers work on vampires."
Regaining confidence she said, "It's not like your race is weak. They could all be wiped out, but if just one remained, then the race could slowly regenerate itself. Vampires do come from the lives of humans. What I'm saying is that the humans have more to lose as a race. To rid the world of humans is to rid the world's chance at life, whether it be vampire, human, or even mage." She vaguely wonder when this became a discussion on ethics.
