Abi pouted as he picked it up and listened to the message Rose had left because he didn't pick it up in time. He shook his head and called Rose back, waiting for her to pick up, all the while staring at Alli.

Alli looked at him, and mouthed, 'Can I talk to her?' She resisted the urge to just grab the phone away from him.

Abi nodded and handed the phone off to Alli and then sat down on the couch. He threw his head back along the back of it and stared at the ceiling.

"Rose, what's wrong?" She asked. "Did something happen?" She sounded genuinely worried.

"Oh no I'm fine...." Somebody said something about getting off the phone and she ignored them. "Hey look... What ever you think or saw that happened between me and Pete... It's not what you think. I just felt bad for yelling at him... And I needed his number so I could apologize..." She actually needed it to see if he could bail her out. "Uhm... Tell Abi I need to talk to him... By the way it was nice meeting you. I never got the chance to say that..."

Alli shook her head. "Really, its fine..." She said quietly. "Just... don't talk about it." She smiled. "And I'll go get him." She set the phone down, and went into the living room. "She needs to talk to you."

"Hn? Ok." Abi said, getting up and picking up the phone. "Hello? Rose? Where are you?" Abi asked right away.

"Hey. I'm fine. And I'm... Well moving. I'll be back sooner or later though. Like we promised eachother, we'd never leave the other behind. Only.. I need to for awhile. I promise I'll be back as soon as possible though."

"Rose." Abi said, in an 'i don't believe you' voice. "Where are you?" Abi demanded an answer from her, She normally didn't avoid an easy question like that.

"Not gonna work, Rose. If i don't know anyone named Joe, you don't. I can get the answer from your dad if i have to." Abi warned, he looked over to Alli just to make sure she was still there. He didn't want her leaving quite yet.

The guy beckoned for her to follow. Rose stood up and sighed. Reluctantly she got in the back of his car and he started towards california. That was the closest Juvie hall around.
Her voice sounded small as if it belonged to a little girl. "Juive..."
