TeaDidikai PoeticVengeance Hmmm, me and error should try to make it to that if we can. Yes. Yes you should. heart Things get cozy- because everyone crashes out at my place. But it is still fun. Things get more than cozy. They get very intense. Fights have been known to break out, wires have been crossed, Wing has been seen naked (albeit briefly and that almost always happens anyway), not enough sleep is had. Yes, on the whole, it's aweseome. But the friction gives context and contrast and to focus on the 'good' aspects is to diminish it as a whole.

People can sleep at their house. ninja Quote: Yes, on the whole, it's aweseome. But the friction gives context and contrast and to focus on the 'good' aspects is to diminish it as a whole. Perhaps. I'll grant that I didn't get to spend as much time with folks as I would have liked, but my only real conflict was with you- and that was more or less a culture clash that was put to rest. Then again- I wasn't in the "Boy Car" so I have no idea about the fun stuff there.

Just so people know, my account may have been hacked. Until I post otherwise here, I'll be using either my mule soloriens or this one (since this is the only one of my mules that I can do anything for the guild with).

Alright then, I was wondering about sol there and the sig of Nuri: Under Seige. Not happy to hear the reason for it, but I guess knowing is better than not. Let me know if I can do anything to help you out. 3nodding

The password thing, I've slipped on before - forgotten I've changed it and whatnot - but the email change is fishy. Sorry Nuri. sweatdrop

Doesn't look like anything has happened yet. Which makes this truely strange. Thanks B smile

Might be a scripted takeover - I've gotten a bunch of notices that basically amount to someone banging their head against my passwords on both mules and this account in the last few months, and I suspect a scriptkiddie is trying to jack old accounts because of it.
I suspect - and this is just my thinking on it - that they run scripts to try and brute force passwords, and they either get lucky with them or get temporary account locks. So far they haven't cracked my mule (Kotiya seems to get it most frequently) and I have notified Gaia of the numerous attempts only to be told that until I actually get hacked, they can't do anything. *shrug*
But yeah, I am thinking scriptkiddies and bots, so they don't actually have to do the work themselves, they just wait for the accounts to roll in while they're sleeping.

No clue, but I hope it has gotten faster. When I was still working here, it sometimes took as many as a few weeks. Sometimes a month. sweatdrop

Sometimes a month. sweatdrop Yeah, I just scoured Q&A -- they said average time is 14 days. In the meantime, I guess I watch my account as best I can. I just can't imagine trying to remember everything I have in my account!

Do a virus scan to check for any potential key loggers. You'll want to use multiple virus scanners, one after the other, in case one missed anything. Clear out your cookies from any browsers you use, as well as saved form and saved password information. Do not have your browser auto-log you in if you think you've been hacked, because if you're under target, it can be used to pick up your private data through cookies - cookie grabbers. If you have clicked any links that would be suspicious, it could be a cookie grabber.
Also try your password from another browser and see if it works there. If it does, consider changing it. You'll also probably want to change the password to your email, just in case.
