[ Sora : Disney Town : Festivities ]
"Oh, here to watch the races?"
Sora popped up next to Kyla out of the crowd, tilting his head in curiosity before watching the racers run their final lap. He'd circled back around to wait for Kairi and Mickey to finish, and found the pictomancer in the crowd, watching the race.
"Didn't strike me as something up your alley," he said, being amicable, grinning lightly.

[Dawn : Disney Town :Fair Grounds : Dancing Area]
Dawn followed after Sora to the fair grounds. She allowed him to join up with Kairi and the others. She strayed away from him when the dancing area caught her eye. She then spotted Bobbi in the middle of it all with a few others.
"Sooo this is where you've been?" Dawn said to her friend as she walked up, "Causing trouble while we are all busting our butts. Starting a dancing party without me heh!"

[Kyla: Disney Town: Festivities]
Surprised she readjusted her glasses- blinking back at him as he eyed her curiously before shrugging with a smile. “I guess I don’t look the type do I?” Kyla agreed, returning her attention back to the race.
“-I guess you’d be partially right.”
“I’m not one for watching sports- I’m more into actually doing them really. I remember being in a go car race once, I had a lot of fun. “She watched as Kairi zoomed down the track, final lap had begun, and they were neck and neck it seemed for the time being.
“I like roller coasters. Train rides, flying swings. All this fair stuff- even haunted mansions and houses.” Yes she didn’t looked the type at all but she did like having a thrill a lot, especially anything that gave her- “-that feeling of flying is what I like the most.”
She perked up as the finish line neared and she hoped up and down on her tippy toes when people bustle din closer- either to watch or to get in line next. “I- “she said after another hop, “I also wanted to meet Kairi. I know she was there at the end of the parade but I never got to greet her properly. She’s someone I’d like to get to more know more.”
Her face softened a little more, figuring that was her main issue, she knew so little about everyone even after all that’s happened. “I want to try and understand you all a little more.” she shrugged again as the cheering began ot start- "and besides, Kairi seems like a really nice person. Who wouldn't wan to know her?"
"Things are only going to get more crazy- I shouldn't miss a single chance I get."

[ Kyle ; Merlin : Disney : Hallways and Living Quarters ]
After exiting the throne room out onto the main balcony, which surrounded the royal gardens, Merlin led the small group toward one of the side wings of the castle, opposite the library, explaining as they went that this would be their main living quarters. Each person would have a small room all their own; the wing had both a second floor--which they were on, the exit of which led to the main balcony--and a first floor, which exited directly into the royal gardens themselves.
"Alright, then, right in here," the aged wizard said, opening one of the first doors on the second floor that they passed, leading them in. It was a quaint room, with white marble matching the rest of the castle, and a comfortable queen-sized bed with red cloth and gold stitching. Every room would have this, though the individuals would be free to add or alter as they pleased.
Pulling back the comforter and sheets, Merlin stood back and let Joe drop the now-fully-unconscious Kyle into the bed before pulling them back over.
With a small motion of his hands, he signaled them to follow him out, closing the door behind them.
"Rachel is sleeping in here," he said, walking back down to the first door they passed--the door closest to where they'd come from, the Hall. Opening the door, he led them into a small room identical to Kyle's, where the young woman lay in silence, eyes closed, body still.
"Because whoever took her heart didn't immediately let it loose, we were able to enchant her body into stasis," he explained, his voice slightly low out of respect, rather than fear of waking her. "So for now she's simply in a deep sleep..."
He paused, seeming unsure about what to say. Honestly, they knew all that, but the situation still felt like it needed explaining.
"I'll give you some privacy," he said, deciding it better to stop rambling senselessly, and walked out, leaving the door open behind him. He decided to wait outside in the hallway, in case they needed him.

[Joe: Disney: Living Quarters]
The male seemed rigid as he nodded his thanks to Merlin. Even more so as he moved to grab a chair, moving it next to the bed and then dropping into it.
He bent forward, the cape and pauldrons from his dress sphere hiding the tension in his shoulders and back someone. His elbows on his knees, fingers woven together, chin resting on them as he watched Rae's still form.
It was almost like he didn't even know that Noelle was there anymore, before he opened his mouth.
"I'm so stupid."
His voice sounded strained, and if she looked she could have seen him swallow like something was stuck in his throat.
"I watched it happen...and I know I couldn't have really actually done anything to stop it. But...I hate myself for not being able to do anything. Nothing to save the one person I...I had to protect."
He drew his bottom lip into his mouth, biting on it as he seemed to think. "Sorry. I...I'm so sorry." Even he wasn't sure who he was apologizing to. Himself for beating himself up? Rae for 'failing' her? Noelle for rambling to her?
He decided that it'd work for all three as he shifted, looking to see Noelle's possible reaction, or even if she had stayed at all.

[[ Joe : Disney Castle Town : Dancing Area ]] Joe furrowed his brow as Bobbi spoke. Who the hell was Louis again? Honestly, there were so many people involved with this mess it was difficult to keep track of them all.
Anyway, focus.
"I'd recommend getting that looked at. It's probably for the best you don't have random voices of mysterious origin mucking around in your head while we're trying to save reality." 'You should not be so sure, BOY!'"...the hell...", Joe muttered. 'I have remained silent inside the aether of your mind for long enough, meatbag. I am ATOMOS, voice of the abyss, consumer of worlds, devourer of stars, and weaver of FORGOTTEN GALAXIES. I have awoken in your mind to guide, nay compel your sniveling fleshy form to action that transcends such weakness.' "...why..."
'For what has felt like EONS I have attempted to wait patiently for your hour of need, but I clearly am needed now. Your depressing display against this ice wielding harlot and her blond-midget friend have forced my hand. You may shower me with platitudes at your leisure.' "...I need a drink. Can someone please direct me towards the nearest Disney Town Liquor Store, I think I've suffered a psychotic break."

[ Noelle ~ Yen Sid's Study --> Chamber of the Cornerstone --> Living Quarters]
Noelle smiled weakly as Sora rejoiced in his new accomplishment. He really deserved it, and Noelle would have been happier if all that Yen Sid had just covered wasn't still on her mind. She was quiet as she followed the others, relieved to see that Kyle was well. Well enough, anyway. This relief was short lived, however. When Joe mentioned Rae her heart sank. Noelle averted her eyes and stared at the ground, trying to suppress those feelings of guilt that had plagued her since she'd returned to the group empty-handed.
"You really are stupid, aren't you? I may have taken her heart, but it was never mine to give back! I just told you I would. How else was I supposed to get you to put up such a fight?"
Noelle followed behind Merlin and Joe quietly, practically holding her breath as they entered the room where Rae was in stasis. She stayed in the doorway, feeling like she wasn't allowed to get much closer. What right did she have anyway? The agromancer knew that she wasn't her replica, and that she wasn't to blame for what Ell did . . . but hell if the guilt wasn't crippling anyway. And she had tried so hard to get her heart back, but in the end just wasn't fast enough, or strong enough, or smart enough. She just didn't compare to Elleon, and could only stand in the shadow of the wrongs she did, completely unable to right them.
The small blonde heard what Joe was saying, but most of it wasn't registering in her mind. Her thoughts were just too absorbed in Ell, and Ajora, and the possibility that they could get her heart back but not getting the information they needed. Her eyes welled at the thought. They were so close--she was so close again. Just not enough.
"It's not your fault, Joe." Noelle sighed softly. "Don't hate yourself. You don't need to."
'Not like I do.'

[Joe: Disney Castle: Rae's Room]
The male watched Noelle, watched her reactions, her mouth when she spoke, her eyes and how they seemed so, so sorrowful to him. And then, as he watched her, it clicked in his head.
"I should be saying the same to you." He sighed, leaning back into the chair unwinding his fingers, clenching his hands into fists a couple times as if to get blood flowing back into them again. While he had no idea about how hard she tried to get what was stolen back...he remembered just who stole it in the first place.
Perhaps it was him trying to not think about it. To not equate her 'look-a-like' to her like he did to all of them. It helped that it was a bit easier considering the personalities seemed so vastly different....
He took in a deep breath, and then slowly let it out. "I don't blame you. Not one bit." He turned his head to look at her. It was...weirdly intense, the look in his eyes. "You don't need to blame yourself either." He cracked an 'odd' smile that didn't seem to really reach the rest of his face.
"We could always hug each other if we get too hung up on it though. Hugs tend to make things a little bit better." The smile faded a little. "Sorry, bad time, eh?"

{James : Disney Castle : Hall of the Cornerstone}
James watched in silence as the others left to do their own thing, kind of glad that they hadn't asked him to come along or even seemed to pay him much mind at all. When they were all gone he turned his attention back towards the Cornerstone of Light, where Yen Sid was now standing. The light of the Cornerstone was comforting, which was a good thing since the corsair didn't particularly want to talk to the ancient wizard again, that imperious gaze of his, ever discerning. Riku was there too, perhaps he could help explain to the wizard if James fell short on his words, he had been on the boat during the battle. With a sigh, James made his way over to them, butterflies already forming in his stomach.
"Master Yen Sid, may I please speak with you for a bit? I could really use some advice," he stated hesitantly, after speaking out of turn in his study, he certainly didn't want to come across as rude again by continuing speaking until he had been given permission to do so.
He wondered how much the wizard really knew about the situations of each of them, it wasn't like he knew all of them. He certainly didn't have the time to keep an eye on them constantly, did he even know that James has been possessed by Ajora? Had Riku or someone else told him? The corsair honestly didn't know. These thoughts were needlessly added to the myriad of others that were already on his mind.

[ Yen Sid ; Riku : Disney : Hall of the Cornerstone ]
The two remaining masters had been silent since the others departure. Riku had been standing a few feet from Yen Sid, though his eyes had been closed, as if in meditation in the light's aura. The elder, on the contrary, seemed to peer into the stone, as if searching its depths.
When James spoke up, Yen Sid didn't immediately respond. Riku didn't react at all, seemingly in a trance of his own.
"Speak as you wish, young man," the sage spoke, never taking his eyes off the stone. His tone was casual enough, however. "I will provide what wisdom I can."

{James : Disney : Hall of the Cornerstone}
James nodded his head, not sure if he was glad or not that Yen Sid did not look at him, though not complaining that he didn't either.
"There are a few things...," he began hesitantly, contemplating where best to start. "When I made my error, Anima had me in her grasp, dark tendrils wrapped around my entire body... pain the likes of which I have never felt, like my whole body was being dunked in acid...," The corsair paused, remembering the pain, as if his skin was still burning. "I want to make sure that my heart is free from any malevolent darkness, and I want to know what would have happened had I have remained in her grasp, if the others hadn't been able to rescue me."
The corsair stopped, figuring that was a good place to stop until the wizard answered. He remained silent, his focus remaining on Yen Sid

[ Yen Sid ; Riku : Disney : Hall of the Cornerstone ]
"Rest assured, your heart is fine," he responded. "At least, from any toxins the darkness might have pushed upon you within that battle. As I explained before, I was monitoring the connections; any attempt to cross the boundary from the drop into your heart would have simply caused the connection to be severed, and you would have awoken safe and sound."
"When it occurred, I did notice a fluctuation of stress, but there was no attempt at intrusion, so whatever was done was not an attempt on your heart," he explained, stroking his beard as he stared into the light. "All I can hypothesize is that it was an attempt to remove you from the fight in the most painful way possible."

{James : Disney : Hall of the Cornerstone}
James nodded his head in understanding, relief flowing though him that Yen Sid said that he was alright. While it didn't make him feel any better about the mistake he had made, it was a relief to know that he would not have likely become a pawn of the darkness again because of it.
"Understood, I am relieved to know that it probably wouldn't have resulted in my being corrupted by the darkness again. In the last worlds that we visited, the group that I was with was taken captive by our replicas aboard. While we were on board The Flying Dutchman, Ajora, Kyle's replica placed a seal upon my heart and took control of me...," The corsair paused clearly still shaken by it, even his voice shook a bit as he continued. "I don't know what all I did while I was under his control, what he may or may not have learned while looking in my heart, though I know that I attacked Dawn before I was able to break his control. I know my replica put Ajora up to it, in an attempt to turn me fully to darkness, and I am certain he or someone else will try again. After I had regained control, I had planned to talk to talk about Riku about learning how to properly use the darkness, I thought that perhaps it would help me to be able to resist it better. However, I am no longer sure that is the best course of action. What would you suggest? I am having a hard enough time bearing the fact that I was Ajora's puppet. I don't want the same thing to happen again," he concluded, his hands clenching into fists.

[ Yen Sid ; Riku : Disney : Hall of the Cornerstone ]
Yen Sid turned his head, if only slightly, to glance at James out of the corner of his eye, raising a brow as the young man spoke. When he finished talking, he turned his full gaze back to the Cornerstone.
"I believe a strong answer has already been presented to you," he replied, folding his arms behind his back in contemplation. "During your battle with Anima, when the darkness attempted to consume Sora, he was able to resist it--but the boy has no measurable skill in controlling the darkness whatsoever. Unless, of course, Riku has been training him without my knowing?"
The wizard turned his gaze to the other Keyblade Master, who finally opened his eyes to meet the elder's with a shake of his head.
"No sir. I don't even think he could manage it if he wanted to," the young man said with a knowing smile, shrugging. "He hasn't even shown interest."
"Which only strengthens the point," he said, turning back to the Cornerstone. "What you seek is not control of the darkness. You seek control of yourself."
"To control something, you must know it. Understand it. That is why darkness can sometimes control its prey so easily: because it knows and understands them better than they, themselves," he explained, closing his eyes as he tone grew solemn. "For how many can truly say they know the depths of their darkness? And of those, how many can say they understand it? Its coldness, its cruelty, its rage? And then, of those that can understand that, how many accept those parts of themselves?"
"You see, it is not through power that we gain control; quite the opposite, only control can bring power. To attain control, then, one must first attain true, thorough acceptance," he said, and now, he turned fully to James, his eyes bearing down on the corsair, searching. "If you seek resistance from the darkness, if you seek to remain in control of your heart even in the darkest of times, then you must ask yourself: do you know every facet of your darkness? Do you understand why your heart holds such black shadows?"
"And there, after facing them, truly understanding them, the final question lies: do you accept it all?" he continued, holding his glance for a moment longer before turning once again to the Cornerstone. "Because if you cannot accept every shadow your light casts, they will inevitably find solace in the grasp of those who seek to control you, and you will fall all over again."
