With Yawgmoth's next words, her temper broke. Dropping her arms to her side, her hands curled in loose fists, her eyes remained fixed on the ground, not wanting to observe her surroundings. "I am NOT a pet!" she said firmly, stamping her foot for emphasis with the word 'not', which resulted in a small whirlwind of energy whisking around her, disturbing the brush around her feet.

Hearing Lanshor speak caused her heart to feel heavy though she wasn't sure why. Having never had family for her own, she did not know what it might feel like for them at this moment but she knew she would not want to cause a family grief.
"Worry not what Yawgmoth desires from me, I will not give in on this matter. Besides, I wonder if he truly wishes to follow through, instead is wishing for me to give in one day. Please, it would pain me greatly to be any part of a reason to cause grief between family."

Yawgmoth's anger broke too, first titus now lanshor and now this flesh bag, this human talking to him that way. Without even thinking he stepped forward and swung with tightly closed first to strike Ziven down, the look of anger burning on his face.

Lanshor saw his father swing and for a moment lost himself, he would not let him hurt someone like that, he did not want to injure Yawgmoth however and instead of jumped in the way and caught Yawgmoth's fist with his hands gripping tightly. "I told you I wouldn't let you!" Lanshor shouted to his father as a hissing sound started to come from the boy. His arm was shaking and he was having a hard time holding Yawgmoth back. But black steam was starting to leak out from his clothes, from his body. It held the same feeling as Yawgmoth's blackened energy but with a much greater intensity. "Stop. I don't want to hurt you..." he said with a deeper tone, with greater resolve.

Though there was no way to anticipate his reaction, somehow it was as if she knew he would react poorly to what she said. With a small squeak, she raised her arms, crossing them over her face, and from that point her barrier that protected her began to form. If Lanshor had not stopped Yawgmoth's fist, the shield would not have been fully formed to protect her from the blow.

Lowering her arms from her face, she observed what had happened. The idea of someone protecting her was surprising enough but the thought of Yawgmoth's own son wanting to protect her from having angered him yet again was .. too much. Gently she cried out, wanting to end the madness that she caused.
"Please! I am sorry, let this stop now, please."

Yawgmoth snarled and intended to prove to Lanshor what a fool he was being. Yawgmoth brought his knee up into his son's gut with a crash. Letting his fist fall back he crossed his arms over his chest as Lanshor fell to the ground. "Guarding the weak...makes you weak. You weren't even watching our other limbs boy. If you're going to protect something at least protect it well..." he said glaring at his son. Yawgmoth wasn't angry that Lanshor stopped him, he was impressed he'd managed to catch his fist, he was angry he left himself open for such a simple counter.

Lanshor's eyes went wide and the hissing sound stopped as he fell to the ground with a cough. He tried to get up once and failed. He managed to push through the crushing pain in his gut and stand up. "I'm...stil...standing." he said holdingh is stomach. "She's apologized. I hope...you won't strike again. I don't want to fight with you." he said taking large breathes. Yawgmoth had apparently hit his diaphram or a lung perhaps. He still stood in front of Ziven just in case Yawgmoth decided to play mean again.

Looking between the two males, she hoped that this would be the end of it. She flinched at the sound of Yawgmoth striking Lanshor, appalled that he would harm his own son. Resting her gaze on Lanshor, seeing that he was injured, she let herself sense his injuries and very softly said the words for healing. "WaĆse heil."

Yawgmoth's eyes kept a careful lock onto Ziven and his son. He liked the fact that she seemed disgusted that he would strike his offspring. But she should've known coming from Yawgmoth that he would do such a thing if the matter at hand came to it. If she hadn't opened her mouth it wouldnt've happened in the first place he thought to himself watching her attempt at healing him. Scoffing he turned his back to them grumbling over something, his smooth black tail swishing calmly back and forth.

Lanshor felt whatever magics she was using to heal him do their job. He sighed a little, he knew his father would see that as weak. Turning to Ziven he smiled softly "You didn't have to do that. I recover very quickly like my father." Lanshor wasn't angry at Yawgmoth anymore. Turning his back to them was a sign however, that Yawgmoth was not approving of this, but at the same time was not willing to cause anymore hostility. Which made Lanshor apologize to him "I'm sorry dad..." he said with a sigh turning his face to Yawgmoth's back.

Slowly she moved her hands, clasping on in the other over her lower abdomen. Bowing her head down slightly, she kept her head in that position and took several steps backwards, away from both of them, the barrier moving with her. "My apologies. It is not my intention to interfere." she felt the urge to run away, to disappear in to the night, but her curiosity stayed her.

"At least, you realize WHY we hit you now." Yawgmoth commented. The dark king still did not turn towards his son or ziven. Not that he cared if either of them left right now. His mind was plotting, tinkering around. "We will be leaving now. We've had enough fun for the day." Yawgmoth's body just vanished. No fancy show, no exploding no liquifying, no nothing. The air however, heated and was warm where he had been standing.

Lanshor frowned as Yawgmoth left. "Planeshift...no wonder I can't tell where he went.." Lanshor said aloud with a sigh. "I'm very sorry I got you involved Miss Ziven. But I won't let him hurt you if I can help it. I promise" he said with a smile turning his head over his shoulder to her.

Nodding her head in agreement with his observations about Yawgmoth having left by planshifting, she still had not moved. Knowing more every day, she figured this was like chess now, where Yawgmoth was always thinking several steps ahead in the game before executing any move. When he apologized, she raised her eyes to view him once more, surprised that he would feel apologetic at all. She gazed upon him silently, apology and sorrow shown in her eyes and face.

"It is I who should be sorry, not you. This is my doing, I have come to accept that everything I say or do will displease him in some way. Because of my own curiosity, my own stupidity I have found myself entangled in an endless series of encounters with him until he is no longer interested. It is I who am sorry for you having to see this." she paused for a moment, tilting her head slightly to consider her next words. "Please reconsider. It is no fault but my own that I have fallen in to these circumstances, it is my burden to bear, not yours. There is no need for you to waste your time protecting me from him. I do thank you for tonight and thank you for your kind offer. I am in your debt." saying these words, she pressed the index and middle finger of her right hand to her lips and bowed to him, the traditional Elven way of displaying deep gratitude toward a person in a position of respect or honor.

Lanshor rubbed the back of his head and turned more towards her. He was tripping over words in his head trying to think of what to say. Yawgmoth would know how to say things, despite saying the wrong thing. At least he got his message across. Lanshor paused for a moment and then spoke "As much as you would like me too leave it to you Miss Ziven I cannot do that. No matter what anyone has told you, listen to me. Without my help my father will win. I do not mean to offend you, but there is no one who has even beaten my father at anything. He doesn't know what losing is. And he certainly will not have his first loss be to someone like you" Realizing that may have sounded wrong he spoke quickly again "What I mean, er, I meant by that was that you're a woman, and a human to him. That's two weak things that he dislikes generally. The only women he actually cares for is my mother, he finds them weak on a general basis. And humans he despises like I despise violence. If he did lose to you somehow, I fear for your safety. I know my father would 'correct' his loss by killing you. And as much as I love him I can't let him do that. But I can't let him win with you either..." the young man finished ducking his head and looking at the ground. He was very much the opposite of Yawgmoth in more ways than one. Yawgmoth was confidant in his words, confidant in his posture and stature, Lanshor was unsure of himself, unsure of what he could do. "I...I'll think of something. I promise ok. I know someone who might be able to help...more than Yawgmoth realizes. My mother. I was going to see her anyway. She gets very jealous of him around other women. If she found out his intentions and did not agree with him. He would leave you alone..I'm sure of it. He lost my mother once cheating on her. And it tore him apart inside. He won't take that risk again" Lanshor smiled thinking that he'd finally found a solution. The only downside was..if Crow wanted Ziven as a pet too. Then he'd be in trouble. But perhaps, she would listen to her son and tell Yawgmoth a two letter word he only accepted from Crow. The word "No".

"No offence taken, I understand fully what you mean. Though I will admit that despite my years of study and many abilities, I am weak in many ways. I have come to accept this and wish to continue building on what is lacking, though it does not seem to be a reasonable endeavor." she paused again, inhaling deeply, feeling more shame. Remembering she was still protected, she lowered he guard, as she felt there was no need for it just now. "I will always appreciate help and guidance but I do not expect the 'easy way' out of things. Please let me help, as there is no way I could repay such a debt. Your desire to help is a great honor, one I am not deserving of." she said softly, her head remaining bowed the entire time.
