"Sounds fun" Rose said as she listened to the proposed scavenger hunt "Are there any rules about where we cannot go to look?" she asked a nearby attendant.

The attendant blinked once and smiled at Rose.
"I believe you are not allowed to search outside of the cruise ship," he said calmly. "This ship is quite large. You are welcome to search it in its entirety, assuming you have enough time to search a three hundred and forty meter long cruise liner in one night."

Rather than sit around in the casino, Caleb decided to go check out the bridge. He could only imagine the tech on a ship so big. Not to mention how new the ship looked.
Marshtomp continued eating, not having actually noticed Caleb yet. He was avoiding the punch now, but that chocolate fountain was calling his name for the fifth time.

Rose nodded and left the party to search the ship, finding her way to the engine room with her sylveon, and there she ran into Michael and his Blastoise and started searching for clues there. They seemed to decide to work together since they happened to go to the same place and eight eyes were better then four while looking for clues.

The engine room was loud, bustling with workers, and very shiny. Rose and Michael had a great view of the inner workings of the huge engine that moved the mammoth of a ship.
Various consoles were illuminated at the ship's bridge, one screen occasionally wavering in and out of focus. The man in charge whacked at the screen, and it resumed normal functioning.
"Damn technology these days," the man grumbled. He turned to Caleb.
"Waddaya want, runt?"

Caleb pursed his lips. Runt eh?
"Nothing really...just wanted to see how well ships were run in Unova..." he shrugged. He honestly wasn't too impressed with the crew so far, but the ship was definitely a sight to see.

The man snorted in reply.
"They're run just fine, exceptin' all you folks coming in and telling me how to do my job." The man gestured to the door.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to have some space when I work. Get out."

Caleb raised an eyebrow. Clearly the old fart didn't want anyone looking over his shoulder. Not to mention other people clearly had already done so. Obviously he made a mistake or two once in a while. Caleb shrugged and went to look around the ship a bit more. Clearly he wouldn't be finding anything there.
Marshtomp looked around as he sat beside the chocolate fountain, licking his sticky hands. That was sanitary. Where was a health inspector when you needed one? Marshtomp kicked his little feet as he scanned the room. Caleb had disappeared along with Rei now. Great. He looked down at the somewhat sticky iPod he had taken from his trainer. He should probably clean that before returning it. He looked up, eyeing the rest of the buffet. He'd make sure to fill up his tummy before doing that though.

A bell chimed throughout the ship.
"That concludes tonight's events. A congratulations to the winners. Have a pleasant evening, everyone." With that, the lights on the ship returned to normal.
Rei stumbled out into the main deck, his face flustered. Behind him, a few women were calling after him.
"See you later, hon. I'll miss you!"
"I hope all science guys are as fun as you, Hikari!"
Rei winced. He never knew what people meant when they called someone a maneater until the moment he was stuck in a room with them. They eyed him like meat from that point forward, and they were constantly putting him in uncomfortable positions. They had him cornered just as the mystery game was over.
"Remember, Hikari, what happens on the cruise, stays on the cruise!"
"Nothing happened!" Rei exclaimed in anguish at the people within earshot. He made a beeline to the buffet and ate his embarrassment away.

Oh look! Rei was back! Marshtomp waved at him before he continued eating. He pulled a large cake his way and started chowing down. Then a look of disgust formed on his face and he spit something out. That wasn't cake! How dare they defile such a wonderful cake with some weird thing. Marshtomp checked to make sure nothing else was in the cake before he continued eating.

Rei nodded a weary hello to Marshtomp.
"I believe I have had enough of this party, Marshtomp," he said to the Pokémon. "Where is Caleb?"

Marshtomp shrugged at Rei's question. He tossed the weird cake item into the pile of other items he had found. He didn't seem interested in any of them, mostly since none of them were food. He jumped when he sensed a presence behind him. Caleb stood there, holding up his sticky iPod. His eye twitched. Marshtomp grinned. Look who decided to show up!

Michael wandered around the ship for a while looking for rhe scavenger hunt items when the bell chimed. Lookinga around for the others he soon found Rei, Caleb, and Marshtomp. Walking towards them with Squirt he soon said. "So if the event is over can we go home now? I need to get out of this damn monkey suit and back into my lab coat."

Who knew the hotel had a rooftop view? Maddy had found a set of stairs that lead up onto the roof of the dingy hotel she had Team Aqua staying at. It felt like it had been weeks and nothing had changed. She wondered if Ghetsis still thought Aqua might be an issue after all this time. She sat on the edge of the roof, her legs dangling and swinging and a smoke perched between her lips. The hotel wasn't very tall, so buildings still towered around her, but from here she could get a good view of the back alley that lead to the hotel's entrance and she could also see the bustling street on the other side. The harbor wasn't too far either, from what she could tell. With a sigh, Maddy blew a puff of smoke up at the sky and took her TADS from her coat pocket. Flipping it open, she sent out a mass text to her teammates: "Turns out you can get onto the roof of the hotel. Makes for a pretty good hangout spot." She decided to leave the message at that and pocketed the device as she took another drag off her cigarette.
