eek I am seriously beginning to worry about you burning out, old friend. Nobody can keep up that fever pitch indefinitely.

I have 4 days off next weekend, so that should help, and I have a week-long vacation at the end of September. I'll still be working, but entirely remotely and fewer hours. This upcoming weekend was supposed to be the celebration of this all being over, but ah well.

Good on yeh. As for my job . . . well, it still sucks bollocks. Evidently, I am in the middle of a 7 day stretch, keeping me from seeing my daughter peform on Tuesday with her band, and I'm just so done with the job anymore. All the people I like to talk to or work with either are not working with me for weeks, or have left for other jobs. They were the only aspect that made the job tolerable. stare

That's dumb; jobs with interchangeable workers are supposed to accommodate to your schedule unless impossible. Yeah, coworkers can really make or break a workplace. Hopefully you can move on top a better job soon as well.

We are at the point of considering me going to work for a trucking company, driving around a company big rig for cash. They make some decent money, but I won't be home for days at a time. On the plus side, I'd be alone.

That's not an easy choice, with the sacrifices in personal life.

agreed, but we are barely treading water, financially speaking. I have to consider more radical options. Because if we don't change how we do things . . . nothing else will change either.

Just working. Making some decent money but really have no plans.
Though I did start something promising. there is a site called Fiverr.com, and on it you can 'sell' your skills. I made two listings, one for creative writing, and the other for business writing. Already the latter has me in negotiations for work. If that pans out, I may have a supplemental form of income. It isn't much at first, the lowest is $5 a job, but when I gain a reputation, I can lift my cost a bit. For now, having near-immediate feedback and wanting to be hired is a bit of an ego boost.

On-demand / short-form freelancing can lead to great things from what i've heard. I wish you well with the new venture.

appreciated. It's barely starting so there is no real way to tell how this will go. We shall see in time.
