JMan 240 Hakora vi Britannia what are your thoughts on human nature then? I may be a Bible major, but I also am very open minded and made a pact saying if I ever find God is proved false I will drop my faith and go the other way. Its not really faith if you can't believe in it so much that its true that your willing to lay it out there for someone to try and prove wrong. I suck at math too, I have 20 credit hours now so I'm 4 short of being a sophomore in credits Human nature at it's base breaks down to a few things that are a natural part of any living creature, intelligent on our level or not. Eating, sleeping, going to the bathroom, and mating. Beyond those base elements of any living being human nature is complex and generally self destructive.
For example of destructive and complex, it's a big example but current as far as world events are concerned, the US and the world could easily be free of its fossil fuel dependency. Solar, Wind, and Hydro electricity are already in use quite successfully and most would be easily implemented around the world and would pay for themselves as far as the power companies are concerned. Hydrogen, electricity, and solar electricity are all viable option for powering vehicles at this point. Most cars today can burn hydrogen as a fuel but simply aren't fitted to do so and the concerns over how flammable hydrogen is are negligible considering the fact that under pressure hydrogen is inert and when dispersed it is no more flammable than gasoline is. European car companies BMW and Mercedes have already created hydrogen powered vehicles and run them successfully through a full array of safety and performance tests, plus hydrogen would satisfy car guys like me because our cars could still be loud. But you know what? We don't do any of that, and the world economy is going to collapse if we don't. For some odd reason we, as a human population in general, don't seem to find things like the gulf oil spill as a good enough reason to change our current lifestyles.
As for religion, I'm semi Christian, in that I believe in the general philosophy of Christianity but do not call myself a Christian because I do not want my name associated with one of the most crooked and hypocritical groups in the world. I stopped going to church because they preach all this tolerance crap and say that only God should be allowed to judge people then turn around and start ridiculing people they don't understand. Mind you I live in the South, North Carolina, and most of the churches around here are extremely conservative. Blind faith is part of the reasons that there is so much violence in the world. I prefer to say that what I believe is what I believe and that it shouldn't be the same as someone else's because not everyone has the same priorities. I choose not to simply believe what someone else says I should believe simply because other people do. If there is a greater being and he is almighty then he will speak to me himself, I don't need some Kook with a pedestal telling me what he was told because it was not told to me and therefore does not concern me.
Hope all that made sense. has anyone ever tell you that you jump from topic to topic very fast? I'll talk about the first one and take out what I wanna address "]Human nature at it's base breaks down to a few things that are a natural part of any living creature, intelligent on our level or not. Eating, sleeping, going to the bathroom, and mating." Let me make that a little more workable too. going to the bathroom falls under eating. So the four basic needs of human living are eating, drinking, shelter and sleeping. Thats all we need and they are all self destructive. Eat too much and you become fat, drink (water) too much and you will vomit. Big is better! We hear that alot and not just about the p***s, shelter, people will strive for bigger places to the point that they sacrifice everything. Sleeping, ever heard of sleeping your life away? Self- destructive. Sex, self-destructive, too much sex and if you don't get aids or hiv you will soon reliezed you can't be satisfied and will keep going and keep filling more and more empty. The true basic need is satisfaction. We, as humans will do whatever it takes to be satisfied and most will never find it. The US problem goes straight to greed. The big business want more money and oil is it. Why go with an alternative when ol is scarce and you can charge more and fool people that the best they can get is around 40 miles to the gallon (we can really get over 100 to the gallon) next, I know what your saying about the semi-christian and I agree. I call myself a believer for the same reason. Theres two types of Christians; the true followers and the religious. what you seem to hate are the religious and I despise them too and I can assure you most of them won't go to Heaven. If you wanna know what Jesus thought of them open the books of the Bible known as the Gospels and look at what He said to the Pharisees. In short He refered to them as things like broods of vipers and white washed tombs (look good on the outside but inside are filled with death. I on the other hand follow a relationship and not religion. Its about love not rules and thats it. God loves us, died to pay the price of our sins just so He could be with us again and love us the way we want. THAT is how you become satisfied.

I'm not arguing religion and I'll just leave it at that. Aside from the basic it comes down to things we could easily do and inexplicably don't. I would think that jumping into the Green business before anyone else would be plenty profitable. I don't know about HV, when I joined there before SY was started my RPC got enslaved in about 3 posts. Literally and figuratively enslaved.
