Kirimi froze slightly before finally saying, "Oh, um...I just...uh..." Her face turned bright red and quickly she looked away. It wasn't like she couldn't bring herself to ask him, it was just her nature to be shy. It's too hard. She thought to herself, shutting her eyes tightly.

Kirimi felt her face grow hotter and she drew in a breath, then slowly let it out. She opened her eyes and looked at him as she said, without a single stutter, "Do you...like me...?" She felt her heart pound on the inside of her chest and she looked away.

Hige watched as she drew the heart "oh...uh" Hige sat there for a few minutes thinking, This didn't happen last time I was here... he bit his lip hard enough for it to bleed. He finally answered "I would say yes but...it wouldn't last, eventually we'd be bought by different masters, It's inevitable..." he frowned Hope I didn't hurt her feelings.

Kirimi sighed and felt her ears droop. "I-I understand...I-it's alright..." She averted her sad gaze to the corner of the cage, away from his gaze and she felt her heart give off a painful reaction. She sighed slightly and one thought had repeated in her head. Couldn't we just have little hope?
