"Taking something from nothing leaves nothing. You're trying to get a rise out of me again, yes?" she said softly without moving.

"Oh we won't be taking from nothing. We're taking from something alright. You're a human, a living breathing creature. Taking what we want from you, what you know we want, would sure as hell leave something around. And aren't we always pet?" Yawgmoth said crossing his arms over his chest and closing his eyes, his assumption that Ziven would not cause any harm to him could one day lead to disaster he thought in the back of his mind. Maybe one day he'd push the little girl too far and she'd lash out and cause some damage. Then he'd have to kill her. And that would ruin all his fun.

Turning toward him again, she listened to his speech. A disturbing realization crossed her mind; despite his distaste for everyone - with the exception of himself and a very few select others - it seemed that he held a higher level of respect and appreciation for her in the balance of things than she did for herself. The more this thought solidified in her mind, the deeper it seemed to run. Gently she jumped and rested on the smooth surface of the tree stump. Resting her hands in her lap, she tilted her head slightly and gazed at him silently for a few moments, curious why he had closed his eyes. "Envisioning your victory?"

Yawgmoth knew the balance of all things well, and as he had told Reeve, he was the balance for all that was good. The sinister evil that lurked behind to grip light in a veil of darkness. Just as it was the good's balance to him to smash through his darkness with blinding light. That was his purpose. And for someone "pure" like Ziven, Yawgmoth knew it was his place in the universe to perverse her ways to his. To darken her light so to speak. "There is no need to envision what is inevitable. It will come. Our patience is limitless. What you need to ask yourself is, how long can yours hold out? Or, are you ready to give yourself to us right now?"

"More than you would think." she said softly. Looking to the side, she adjusted a lock of hair that had fallen out of place, considering his second question. "I do not wish to be with you in that way. What I have said before still holds true to this day."

"Really now? And though you have not stated so, we are curious to know why you resist. What, about us, would turn you off from us for that activity, if say, we had not proclaimed to steal it from you" Yawgmoth inquired still not opening his eyes towards her.

Inhaling deeply she stretched, and pondered how to answer before speaking. There were many reasons. Since he asked, she would answer, though she doubted he truly wanted to hear. "Though your current form may be attractive, I am not attracted to you. Though your mind is sharp, you choose eccentrically unfriendly ways to prove and maintain that state of mind. Though you claim to desire certain things from others, you focus all your energy on forcing it out of your target rather than trying to find a desirable compromise with them. Though you are timeless and have an inexhaustible source of power, you spend so much time trying to prove it to people who already respect or fear that power that .." she paused, looking at him for a moment, anticipating violence. ".. that they see no reason behind it other than to brag."

"Of course it is to boast woman. When you have mastered all things in your nature to master, when you have that kind of power, you do not sit around and let it rot. You keep it sharp and keep others aware of it. This arouses opposition to you, so that you may practice to keep sharp. Stay in the powerful state that makes you happy. We do not spend ALL of our powers trying to force it out, if we did that we would already have what we want from you. Would've had it a long time ago pet. And you are wrong on one thing" Yawgmoth paused "You ARE attracted to us. To our body, to our form. You are not attracted to the persona behind the form. To the mind."

"I disagree. For the sake of comparison, think of your creations, your Phrexians. They are each a work of art by your creation, but they are not all equal. There are some that you favor above all else." she paused for a moment, thinking of Titus, feeling even more grateful for having been able to meet him so she had a knowledge to have this discussion with Yawgmoth. "There is a beauty in each of your creations, but that does not mean you will hold each individual in the same respect. Such is the same for the appearance of others. There are many who are beautiful, many who lack beauty, and many levels in between. This is what I speak of regarding your form, though there is beauty, attractiveness in your features, it is not the sort that I prefer over others." Finishing this, she looked at him again, her eyes seemed to be filled with sorrow.

"Only three. Try again. Your reasoning will not work having spoken to only Titus. We love each and every one of our children. The first types of each are the perfections, only one of those perfections is left alive. Titus. The rest have died. Besides Titus, Gix and our own flesh born son. We hold them all in equal highness. They are our greatest gifts. And we theres. Your comparison is understandable, wrong since you do not know our bond with our children, but your point gathered." Yawgmoth finished with a deep sigh mumbling under his breath.

Leaning forward slightly, she rested her elbows on her knees, then cupped her chin in her hands. It seemeda t this moment that she had disturbed him, and she almost felt guilty about it. Almost. Showing her respect for him, she merely observed in silence, not wanting to disturb him further.

A young man made his way towards the two figures in the distance. From the look of one he already guessed the identity. The other was new to him, he had never seen her before. As he grew closer to the group he smiled knowing his assumption of one of them was correct. "I've been looking for you dad. You're never home when I want to find you. So I thought I'd take a look around and sure enough here you are." The young man said with a smile looking towards Yawgmoth.

Yawgmoth's eyes opened towards the sound of a familiar voice, a slight smirk crossed his lips "We're almost never home my boy, you know this. As does your mother. Whom we should probably...visit for a few things soon anyway. Why are you looking for us Lanshor?"

The sound of someone approaching caught her attention. Looking in that direction, she saw a young male that she had never seen before. As he approached, she noticed a few familiar features. When he spoke, her suspicions were confirmed. Her jaw dropped slightly with surprise to realize that this was the son Yawgmoth had spoken of. Since he had ignored her presence in his approach, she looked between he and Yawgmoth, allowing them the chance to talk.

"Just to say hello. Am I not allowed to do that father?" Lanshor questioned. He sighed softly, as much as he loved his father and mother he always knew he disapointed Yawgmoth just being the way he was. The young man shook his head and turned to Ziven. "Excuse me father," he said before taking Ziven's hand softly and kneeling a little "Where are my manners, I am Lanshor Darkstride, son of Yawgmoth and Crow." he stood up and let her hand go with a soft smile "And who might you be?"
