True, but often in retail and/or service sectors . . . I have little choice.
On the other hand, huzzah for income tax money. I will finally finish my Ordin! emotion_dealwithit

Ah, yes, 'tis the season. Glad you got to spend some on yourself. I should do my taxes soon, too.

Apologies for the periodic absence. Been relatively busy lately. Getting my head back into proper life routines. Finally actually getting enough nutrients in a day. No longer feeling drained after half a day. All it took was ordering a bunch of powder from Holland

I don't mind, Skreemer, since I see you active enough on Facebook. ^_~

I'm still way too deep into the Binding of Isaac . . . and nowhere near complete on that.

That games is apparently quite addicting, and it keeps getting free expansions/updated, too.

I got it for free, and have greatly enjoyed it (and cursed like mad at it) for some time now.

Yeah, it looks really difficult.
Sorry about that. Had an after-work meeting in Boston (2 hours away) on Wednesday which really wore me out.

we all have lives, and I won't make you apologize for hving one, my dear friend.
as for Isaac, yeah. it can be rather punishing. The odd thing is that I don't go for games you play for the challenge. Also, the more you do, the more items unlock that can be very beneficial. It's like the game is begrudgingly giving the player items to make it more fun. You have to earn the good items over time. Most games get harder the more you play, this one seems to allow things to get easier.

I'm not usually a fan of rouge-likes, but having some persistent element always makes them more palatable.

Perhaps. More like "here, take this so you aren't too angry to quit . . . but it won't make things much better. Just give you hope of more stuff you might like if you slog through enough stuff." wink
