Nice! While I don't think the game deserves as much praise as it gets, it is most definitely a good game.

It's primary currency for me is homage. Paying respect to the games of yesteryear with an obvious nod to several old-school games that I grew up on. I can't call it nostalgia since this is a new property, but I've seen it played and was glad to get a hold of it. I also waited for a physical copy for the simple reason of "they can't lock me out of this." Too many digital games have a little bit of code in there that says the owner of the program can deny you the ability to play your version of it. Such is the fate of many of my Playstation+ games. They work great, but the moment subscription lapses, the games are locked and unplayable.

I think the physical release includes the DLC that lets you play as one of the bosses. From what I've heard about the original KickStarter campaign, they plan to add the ability to play as every boss. I also prefer physical copies of games despite the push for digital distribution, streaming, and so on.

My cats are finally open about the fact they're gay together.

I may have a gay cat or two, not sure on that one.
Yes, I have heard the physical copy allows you to play as Plague Knight, and with a cadre of knights in the Order of No Quarter, that is a big undertaking.

True, there is a host of bosses. I beat the first map-screen's-worth, but I couldn't get past any of the 2nd map screen bosses back when i played it.

I am looking forward to seeing/playing it. All I have thus far is watching a playthrough online via Youtube.

Having seen it played helps with knowing what top expect and should curb the "nintendo hard" difficulty.
Happy New Year!

It can't be that much harder than some of the older MegaMan games, and I can handle those. This looks similar, and well worth the play. Time will tell, as I am working on my FF VII playthrough.

I've been smashing Fallout 4. As cool as the fancy airship is, the BOS are total jerks and I am looking forward to shooting them out the sky.

Yeah, it's on par with classic Mega Man.
I'll try FallOut 4 once Bethesda has fixed all the bugs.
