~Sanctus Espiritus... Maddy looked around at the cleared courtyard. "Well... I'm not waiting around for more s**t to appear! I'm going in!" With that, she rushed into the castle, right in through the large wooden doors. The inside of the castle was pretty dark. It looked very old-fashioned and at an earlier time it must have been very fancy. But now it was lit by weak torches that were fastened to the walls which illuminated the cobwebs that clung to pretty much every surface in view. "Hmm... Wish I had a castle..." She entered what was assumed to be the throne room. But it had an empty throne. "You think he'd be here waiting..."... Redeem us from our solemn hour~

Me: I trust we don't need Silph Scopes.
*I look around the empty throne room*
Me: Well, he seemed pretty intent on us being dead, so I imagine that this 'peacefulness' will end soon.

Following Maddy and Brian, I look around the throne room.
"Woooahhh.... It looks like this demon is - or was - some kind of prince. He did say he had subjects."

A fog flooded into the room from all corners, and it met at the throne to come together and form Atreyu. He sat there at his throne, legs crossed. He peered at them with an amused expression on his face, his elbow on the arm of the throne and his head rested on his hand. "I did not expect a bunch of weak creatures to defeat you. But perhaps my army will have more luck?"
Several beings adorned in black knight armor flooded into the room, walking through the walls. They all held either spears or swords in their hands, and the only sign that there was something within the armor was the glow of two ominous red eyes behind the helms. Atreyu stood his ground and watched.

~Sanctus Espiritus... Maddy sighed. "I have a feeling his actual army is too big to fit in this room." She pointed out. She brandished her claws, ready to strike. "Let's get this over with!" She leapt at the two knights nearest her and grabbed them by the helms. Her claws erupted into a mixture of purple and black flame as she pulled the two knights together, their bodies crashing together and causing a loud clang as they fell apart. Wisps of black smoke fled the armor. "Oh... That's easy..." More knights came in to replace the ones she had taken down. "Ooooh..."... Redeem us from our solemn hour~

*I unleash a slew of Shadow Balls as I go up in the air*
Me: And that didn't do much.
*The armor ghosts rise in the air to follow*
Me: Ahh great...

"Even an army will fall apart if the General is defeated!" I draw my swords and advance on Atreyu, but a pair of knights stand in the way.
The spear knight lunges at me first. I step inside his thrust and unleash a volley of my own. "Leonid Storm!" He (it?) recoils as the sword knight rushes around to the side. I barely have time to parry his attack, and the force of it stings my arm. No sooner do I push back that one when the spear knight returns, brandishing his polearm in broad circles. The tag-team forces me back, dodging the wide sweeps of the spear and repelling heavy strikes from the blade.
Relying on some footwork, I maneuver to the side, putting the spear knight behind the sword knight. He has to stop attacking in order to move into a better position. The blade-wielder has no such handicap and presses his attack. I stop the knight's sword with a two-bladed block and fling it upward. When he staggers, I bring my swords down on his helmet. "Thirteenth Moon!" This dents the helm, obscuring his vision.
With the sword knight flailing blindly, the spear knight resumes his assault. His quick thrusts keep me at bay, but he can't strike a clean enough shot to cause any damage. Finally I see an opening in his guard and move in. "Breaking Dawn!" With an upward sweep, I knock the knight off balance and follow through with a thrust designed to break armor. On impact, the entire suit shatters into tiny fragments. Before the sword knight regains his sight, I repeat the technique and destroy my other foe.

Kadabra used a powerful Psychic, the spoon in its hand bending wildly as the armored knights collide with each other and wasp up into smoke of ominous colors. The wisp forms new Knights to take the place of the ones defeated. Larvitar whimpers as it uses a Dark Pulse emits from its body, shielding itself from a few Knights.

~Sanctus Espiritus... Maddy found herself surrounded by knights, all sword-wielders. "Seems like this should be fun!" They all rushed her, and she leapt up onto the ceiling, watching as they slammed together. She then leapt down between them again, and unleashed a flurry of slashes with her claws, spinning in a circular motion. The knights eventually succumbed to the damage and fell apart, the black wisps of smoke leaving their armor encasing as empty shells.... Redeem us from our solemn hour~

"More of them? Okay, let's dance!"
This time I wasn't going to waste any time with these knights. As soon as one of them gets in range, I unleash one of my new attacks. "Leonid Blitz!" A flurry of rapid thrusts destabilize the atmosphere, sending bolts of lightning coursing through several suits of armor, all of which disintigrate.
"Void Cyclone!" More knights approaching from the other side get caught by my whirling attack, collide with each other and break into pieces.
"Atreyu, you're next!" I keep moving toward the throne.

*I start plotting*
Me: Well this is going to be interesting.
*I grab an armor with Psychic, and start using it as a bat in bad game of ghost armor baseball*
Me: I want to try something...
*I bash some armor, and then get in it*
Me: This is fairly uncomfortable...
*I take the armor off, and use Psychic to launch the armor pieces at various armors, causing great damage*

"We can settle this in my sanctuary in the tallest tower." Atreyu said. He stood up and turned into a cloud of white smoke. He rushed at Thard, passing through him. As he went, he whispered in his ear, "Your skills impress me. I hope you'll put up a good fight." He fled through a door to the left and up a spiral flight of stairs.
Doors around the room began to vanish. If the Team didn't follow Atreyu quickly, they would be stuck in the throne room for good.

"Come on!" I shout to the team. Giving one more suit of armor a parting shot, I race to follow Atreyu up the stairs before the doors all vanish.
