Ick. I hate meat. Unless it is well prepared. Though, Scott says I am a master at preparing meat.
I'm watching it right now. :/ Not a ton of good outfits on tonight's show.

Big tip for meat preparation: SEASON, friggin SEASON. I cannot stand when people just kinda cook meat sort of, and then it is the blandest crap ever. lol, sorry, pet peeve and all, lol.
I am sort of paying attention to the show, Ember is having sporadic fussy fits tonight. Just discovered she has contracted a diaper rash somehow. sad Poor baby.

Well, I already knew to Season it and stuff, but how much should I put on?. . . The whole thing? lol!! Like, do I let it just sit there for a while and cook it later?- Like, um, Marinate it?
D: Awwwww! Poor kid! I think there's a creme for that! (I also wonder if there's a Visine for that. . . Hmmmmm. .)

@ Styk: Well, do you want to be conscious while I reset your nose with a hammer?! I need to knock you out first! CPR might come in handy for that. razz
It depends on the dish. If you want something to be tender and juicy, marinate in a brine or sauce, if you want quick and lightly herbed (say for chicken), drizzle with olive oil and let spices sit on your meat(covered with plastic wrap) for about 30 minutes. Enough to infuse it with flavor, and you'll have some on the outer crust for that extra oomph. And for burgers, I just add my seasonings and cook it then. Sometimes I let it sit for a while. but never on the counter. Germs breed like crazy out there.
And yeah, she has a homemade organic diaper cream on right now. We use all natural body care products on her, and we are big fans of cloth diapering, only our stash has been ruined every time we try to start it back up. She's such a happy baby with cloth on her butt. lol, I sound like a real hippie mom, lol, baby signing, all organic and natural body care, I make her baby food all natural from scratch, and I make clothes for her. haha

Believe it or not, I'm taking SERIOUS notes right now lol. I have to remember all of this- Next time my brother comes into town, I know he's going to want us to grill or something. So this will totally come in handy!

Nah! You actually sound like you're doing a very good job being a mum. I don't know anybody else that does stuff like this, so to me this is all very interesting!

lol, Actually, it's mostly self taught. I do like watching food network though. Mostly Iron Chef or Alton Brown, though. OH! And Best Thing You Ever Ate, unwrapped, etc.
Oh, for fried meats: I usually season the meat, and for the dredge, I ad a tiny amount of spice, just to carry over the flavor.
And Thank you! I really try. But I get that " You are doing a bunch of unnecessary crap" a lot

NICE!!! My cooking is also self-taught lol. Like when I make Spaghetti I use pure instinct (I can make the noodles from scratch, but most of the time I'm too lazy lol). Throw in stuff and POW! It tastes amazing!

Good morning Guildies, Just got home from hanging out with Skotti and Mandi, which was really nice. *Thanks for inviting me guys*
And i did one of those stupid 500gaiacash offers for an insurance company so now they are calling me ........ lol oh well sad .

Dear Diary: biggrin I'm glad you like it! I got the title from an A Perfect Circle song (not on any of their albums) called "Diary of a Madman", which is a mixture of 'Diary of a Love Song/Madman' and 'Love song' put into one. The only version out there is the Live Version. I'm hoping they put it on an album one day.
But anyway, the threads I made are pieces of Lyrics from that song. Maynard is a Genius.
I saw them Live, like, WEEKS ago when they came to St. Paul!
