Like Luna, I also decide to wander the grassy fields north of town. It doesn't take long for a Farfetch'd to show up and challenge me. Calling on one of my pokemon-in-training, I send Houndour in to battle.

"Okay, let's lead off with Smokescreen!" The dog obeys, blasting the bird with smoke. A small gleam in the wild pokemon's eyes suggests the attack failed, but at least I know its ability now. Farfetch'd shoots back a stream of stars in a Swift attack. My pokemon shakes off the damage and bites down on the foe. In a panic, the small bird bashes Houndour's nose several times with its leek. Houndour lets go, but unleashes a stream of fire in its rage. The Flamethrower knocks out Farfetch'd.

"Nicely done, boy," I congratulate Houndour on the win and keep looking for more pokemon. I soon spot a Magnemite. "Oh, now this one I have to catch!" Knowing they can be tricky, I decide to use Piloswine this time.

"We don't want to go overboard, so use Icy Wind to soften it up." Piloswine chills the air, forming dewdrops on the grass and slowing Magnemite's movements. The pokemon fights back with a horrid Metal Sound, annoying my swine. He recklessly charges at Magnemite, trying a Take Down. It connects, but the foe is still raring to fight. Magnemite assails my pokemon with Magnet Bomb, causing more damage. Piloswine jumps at the silvery opponent with a full-on Body Slam. The attack is still ineffective, but leaves a lingering Paralysis. This was my chance. I throw a Great Ball, and it surrounds Magnemite. It shakes for a few seconds before sounding a quiet ping.

Now that Magnemite was caught, I head back to the Pokemon Center to regroup with the others.

I look around, seeing quite a few trainers. They all seem to be busy doing something, but take the time to glance at me. I bring may hand up to make sure my ears are covered. Completely invisible thanks to my hair. As I move along I notice a black shape in the distance. I tilt my head a little and notice that it's a pokemon, just grazing, keeping to itself. I look at it's horns and think of what it could do... I shudder and begin to turn, but end up thinking about it personality wise, maybe it wasn't that bad?

I take the chance to turn back around and walk a little closer. "Mmm?" The pokemon snaps it head around to look at me. "I look at it's brown hide and three tails. "I know you start with a T... Umm...."

My muttering seems to annoy the beast and he turns toward my fully. "Oh boy... Now I remember, Tauros... Known for your temper..." I squeak and it takes a few steps toward me I step back. His eye's follow my movements. I slowly reach back and grab a pokeball, "I-I'm throwing d-down a challenge... If I beat you you come with me... I-If you beat me... th-then..." I trail off, but at least he seemed to understand. I pulled out a pokeball and tossed it. Zubat came flying out from her resting place and twirled around me a few times.

Tauros moved first, he began galloping at Zubat as fast as he could, swatting my pokemon down like a simple fly with a Horn Attack. "Hurry! Supersonic!" Zubat flew back up and spun around aiming a Supersonic directly at Tauros. The attack hit, confusing the enemy. Tauros began run at Zubat again but jumped a little too early and rammed his head straight into the ground, hurting himself. "Good job! Now, Wing Attack!" Zubat saw this and cheered to himself before aiming a Wing Attack to hit the side of the pokemon, knocking it onto it's left side. Tauros had a little trouble getting up again, but managed to do so without confusion. He lowered his head and his horns glowed a strange blue color, a Zen Headbutt knocked Zubat out of the sky onto the ground and down for the count.

I looked at him, surprised. "You did your best, and that's all that matters." I return Zubat and pull out Poliwag's pokeball, "Go!" Poliwag lands, looking rather angry. Tauros takes no chances, he runs at Poliwag, his body glowing lightly red. Rage knocks Poliwag back almost to my feet, "C'mon, Poliwag! Hypnosis!" Tauros rounds and begins coming back at Poliwag, but Psychic waves emit from my pokemon's seemingly spinning belly thus causing the running pokemon to crash land, asleep. I take my chance, "Alright, Pokeball!" I toss a pokeball, it hits and encloses the pokemon within itself and begins wiggling. After a light 'ding' I walk over and pick up the pokeball, now excited for myself.

I rush back to meet the others at the meet-up spot. "Hi guys!"

I look at the Lighthouse before beginning my walk toward it. I smile realizing that this must have been the light I saw even from far out over the ocean.

Maddy entered the Lighthouse, hands in her pockets. She was still pondering the true point of being here. But perhaps not everything needed to have a point... She was lost in her thoughts and muttering in the demon tongue as she walked onward.

I walk into the tall grass of Route 39 and trip. The next thing I know I hear a loud growl. A Snubble jumped at me trying to grab my shirt. "Aw look at it! It's so cute!" The snubble barked reacting negatively to my comment. "Alright, then, Starly come on out!" I order Starly to use Wing Attack. As it dived in for the attack knocking it on its back, the Snubble used Bite making Starly flinch and fall into the grass. The Snubble quickly got up and used Headbutt sending my Starly flying. "Starly Sand Attack!" I yelled. Starly kicked up a small dust storm blinding the Snubble. I had to shield my eyes from the evasive attack. "Alright Starly, use Wing Attack again!" With it's Keen Eye Ability, Starly knew exactly where it's foe was and hit it dead on. Snubble fell over and struggled to get up. I took out a Great Ball and threw it. The greatball began to shake. Shake... Shake... Shake... DING! I pick up my newly caught pokemon.

I stand in place, not understanding what's going on, I move backward nearly bumping into someone, but I manage to step off to the side so that I'm standing a little bit behind Richy.

Richy looks back at Luna. "You alright?" He said wondering why she was backing up. Then he was bumped into by one of the Team members that left. "No bumping into me!" He said aloud to the Team that left.
