Lina lay back on the roof, tinkering around with her toy yet again, deciding to work on it's insides, hoping she could get a few specific parts to work. After a while she put it back together then used some bits of metal to repair it's body so it would look less decayed. She then sat up on and began painting it a pale yellow to add the finishing touch.

Zen stood up from the kitchen table. He had been sitting for an unorthodox amount of time. And so he made his way to the main entrance of the main dojo and sat down, right in the middle of the door.
Taking a kunai out from his back pouch, he started to scratch out a rather complex looking seal. With in the seal at which all the enchantments and chakra lines gravitated outward from was the hexagram (#61) known as "Center Returning." With this finished he placed his hands over the seal, concentrating chakra through his arms and into the wood.
With a burst of blue flame the seal burned to life, creating a field from which genjutsu would be disrupted. With this done he stood up and proceeded to the rafters.

Lina blinked as she sensed something happening below. She was not sure what she had felt but she figured it might not be good. She sighed and stayed where she was sitting, it wasn't her buisness unless someone wanted to make it her buisness. After a while she just lay back and fell into a light sleep, setting Harris down figuring he'd make more then enough noise to wake her up if even a leaf fell too close.

(( Guys,
I found a link to the old Academy thread back when the GNA was still in GGN, and have been reading through it all night. It's insane...things are a lot different now- Academy life was a lot more sarcastic back then. I noticed a lot of the comraderie and friendship has dulled down over the years and we need to fix that, if it's even possible. I dunno.. I mean, I realise this post doesn't belong here but finding that link was a stark reminder of how far a cry this version of GNA is from the old one.))

"I'm gad you're no' hurt and all, but you never actually told me what it was," Reeve says, a hand on his hip. "So what did you do?"

"Well..."
Iri reaches into her left pocket and takes out another pebble. Then she looks around for a target. She really doesn't want to have the ammo ricochet off of another tree. After a moment or so, she decides to just aim for the sky. Just like she did before, Iri reaches out with her right palm facing outward. A clockwise flowing cyclone forms around her middle finger, while a counter-clockwise cyclone forms around the index finger. Iri "loads" the pebble and watches as it speeds off into the distance. Odds are that's gonna scare some poor woodland creature, but that's okay!
"Can't recall what inspired me, but it's kinda fun."

"Ooh. Bet you could hurl a kunai a mile like that," Reeve says appreciatively. "I'm pretty impressed- making your own techniques already."

Iri blinks. "I hadn't thought about other projectiles yet. Yeah, that's something I've got to try out." Then she turns to look at Reeve. "As for making my own techniques, that's how I started learning kaze. Remember when we met? You found me unconscious in the woods. I had passed out after using too much chakra on my first kaze technique, and no one taught me anything beforehand. Nyl started teaching me awhile back, but not until I had already learned a few things on my own."

" Ah, I see," Reeve says, nodding. How could he forget the day they'd met? " I sometimes wish I had the chance to take kaze...but alas, it was not to be."

"Hmm..." Iri tilts her head in that curious manner. There's an idea sparking behind her violet eyes, but she's not giving it away quite yet. With a wing shrug, she lets her eyes wander back to the trees, and whatever was there hides itself. "So the Academy's gone that long without a steady kaze instructor? Makes me realize that I'm gonna have to come up with a new strategy if I want to advance in my element."

((Yeah, Fen sent me that link as well...I used to have it subscribed before Gaia rewrote all my crap. But I agree...it's actually what I've been trying to get us back to for a LONG a** time...it's really sad actually...))

"I wouldn't worry about advancing too far- have you seen a sensei's paycheck around here?" He asks, eyeing her critically.

Iri grins and laughs. "Heheheh. Love, no one takes on the job of any kind of teacher for the money. People teach just to teach. And they're crazy if they have any other motive." She shakes her head and leans back against a wall of the dojo. "Besides, I've got a long time before I'm ready to think about going for that job."

Iri just gives another wing shrug. Then she takes a few steps forward and stretches her upper limbs. "Well, that's a talk for another time, eh? In the meantime, I need to get some exercise." She drops her arms to her sides, but keeps her wings slightly open and swept back. "Didn't you say something about a spar the other day?"
