hey wyrn, I had that experiance when I went to see kick a**. I walked out after 10 minutes and got a later showing.
I was "Beat" all the time by my dad, But never out of anger. He did it so I could defend myself and take a beating if I had to. Although he stopped when I fractured his rib by accident XD

OneWithDunamis Well conditioned, Jojo! And I suppose aggression doesn't necessarily breed further aggression, but some sorta psychological problems, at least. Again, I think it depends on the person. wink -Citrine: I fear my dad more than I respect him. He does a pretty good job at planting fear in others. -Si: See, where I come from, a little kid like that running around and screaming, his parent will come and smack the kid. Then, the next time you see him, he'll know better. And where I come from, it's not child abuse, it's discipline. biggrin -Moon: I hate how they wear their pants so low so the world can see their boxers. :/ -Wyrn: Well, I guess my bad luck moved on to you, because we went to see The Backup Plan today and only little old ladies were there. Sure, some of them coughed, but we sat in the far right of the theater, by ourselves, so I feel like I'm okay. 3nodding Plus, I take vitamins. wink -Ser: So your dad was teaching you to take a beating like a man? wink -Pine: Well, you learned your lesson! razz

Loved Kick a**.
How did they get in though, it is a Rated R movie.
My father only had to discipline me once physically. I respect him not fear him. Mostly since after wards I learned how to debate with him.

My father is 83 and a social worker.
If I could make my point eloquently I had a chance of getting things my way. I had to work for it though.

Contrary to most households, the usual accepted idea is that I'm right and you're wrong. Because 90% of the time, I really am right because I am good at reading other people and manipulating variables. For example, if I do A, you will do B. Thus allowing me to make statement C of which your next action D in response to my previous action A will cause you to contradict yourself and be wrong. And the converse is true as well. When you make statement A, I will make statement B which will cause you to make statement C of which my previous action D will have contradicted somehow. The secret to my logic is being able to remember almost everything you've done and every conversation you've had with the other. You see all people are hypocrites so you can use that nature to exploit their ideology and make them think they're wrong when really they are no more wrong than you are.

If a problems happens and I need advice, I call my father, if anything just to vent.

I'm not going to touch the topic of abuse, just because I was mentally and physically abused by both of my parents.
I just wanted to give everyone the heads up, I won't be home tonight to make the meet. I some how got stuck with two closing shifts, which is odd since I have not worked one in at least three or more months.

Mostly 'cause she agrees with me on the stuff. biggrin Plus, anyone on my mom's side will agree, as well. They don't like him. But it's great that you have your father to call if you ever need advice. I admire that. Most of us don't have our fathers as an option.
