Dante gasped with horror.

"Is that a demon or a zombie?" He asked stuttering.

He noticed he had stepped in a puddle of the goop on the floor. The goop began to eat away at his shoe so he quickly removed it and threw it down the tunnel.

"That was a close one..." He said watching his shoe disintegrate.

He then pulled out a spare shoe from his backpack. Never leave home without one! He had always told himself.

"You wouldn't happen to have a Demon-Proof body restraint so we can carry her away to the Funny Farm would you?" Dante asked Maddy while looking at the lady down the tunnel.

"I guess when you are around toxins so often they fry your brain as they did the harbor just a few moments ago..."

"She can barely speak full sentences Thard... I doubt she is capable of 'negotiating'. We'll most likely just have to do this the old fashioned way." Dante said gripping his Baghnakhs in case something were to happen.

"Too slow!" I yell. Whipping out my first sword, I deflect her claws and lunge forward, slashing at her ribs. Unfortunately for me, I end up beyond the range of Xatu's Safeguard and catch a lung of Miasma.

A large amount of shadow energy, that different than a demon's, flows into the cave from the direction the Aquas entered. This shadow energy was so dense that even those who aren't sensitive to the shadows can see it.
From behind the group two glowing eyes could be seen, one red, one purple. A large blast of sand erupts around the area, fighting the miasma of poison and slowly draining away the toxic puddles.
The voice of a certain hybrid rings around the area.
"Nobody kill this b****! I'm gonna catch her!" He demands.

Maddy sent a wave of fire flying at Ciara. "Dark, I really don't think that's a good idea!"

Ciara was quick enough to avoid a severely harmful blow from Thard, only getting a shallow wound across her ribcage, but Dante managed to crack off the nails on her right hand, giving the nails jagged edges. However, while Dante was close to her, she managed to scratch him slightly with her other claw, inflicting him with a powerful poison. This poison was not life-threatening, but gave its victim the feeling of being caught on fire. She was then blasted back by Maddy's fire wave.

Dante called out in pain and fell to the ground.

The wound was bleeding, and the area around it was purple. His entire left arm had become inflamed from the toxin.

"Somebody, in the Emergency Kit in my backpack there is a syringe that contains a blue liquid, please get it out for me, I believe that shot should stop the spread of this infection." He said with pain in his voice, and realizing he had left his backpack beside Xatu.

"Also be careful Dark, even though you have tough skin, the toxin may seep through, and I have nothing with me that is able to inject the medicine into your stone skin." He called out to Dark.

Between coughs, I manage to sputter, "Gotta... kill... shut... the gate. Flamethrower."
Lickilicky obliges with a stream of fire directed at the slimy demon.
