I let my newly caught pokemon out of his ball.

Ick! Dante thought to himself after looking at the Tentacruel. He had never really liked jelly fish....
"Where do you think all these poison pokemon came from? I mean... I'm fairly sure they aren't native to the area." He asked to his teammates.

A Grimer and Muk crawl out of the water, ready to prey on the hybrid. He looks at them, seeming very unimpressed. He grabs the little gold ball from around his neck and expands the ball. He tosses it and in a display of glorious blue flames, the legendary Pokemon Ho-oh appears.
"I don't have the patience for interrupters of my demon hunt. Wright Earthquake."
The Ho-oh does as commanded. It slams hard into the ground, causing a massive tremor. The attack is too much for the Pokemon and they collapse, oozing back into the water.
A Tentacool and Tentacruel then jump out, seeming angry that Dark sent the two previous Pokemon back into the water.
"Ugh, again Wright. Show these nuisances to keep out of my way."
The legendary rainbow coloured bird repeats it's previous attack and sends the jellyfish Pokemon back into the water as well.
"Hmph. That's good enough Wright."
Dark recalls the Pokemon and reconnects it to the magnet tied around his neck.

~Sanctus Espiritus... Maddy was about to say something, but a cracking sound filled the air. She looked around, wondering what was causing the noise, and then realized it was the docks! The beams that were holding the docks up began to smoke and crack. The water was eating away at them! The docks began to fall apart as the beams cracked. "Ahhh! Get off the wharfs!!" Maddy said, teleporting to safety on impulse. She should have figured the water was acidic.... Redeem us from our solemn hour~

Dante called out Drifloon and held onto it as it drifted towards the shore.
"Not only is it gross... but it's dangerous too!" He said, "I wonder what could cause the water to be acidic..." Dante said aloud even though he was certain everybody already knew the answer to the question.

Shuppet, already miles ahead of danger, looks at us from the shore. There's no time to scowl at him though, as I quickly recall Tentacruel and release Salamence for a quick flight to safety.
"This just keeps getting better and better. We should find the source of this junk before the entire city erodes into the sea."

Before he could quite grasp what was going on he felt the ground give away beneath him. His weight was too much for the dissolving docks. The last thing anyone could see of Dark would be the splash and his fingertips sinking into the water.

~Sanctus Espiritus... Maddy wasn't sure whether she should worry about Dark or not. It wouldn't surprise her if he survived, but this couldn't be typical acid. She turned to the other two. "Ok well... While Dark deals with that... It seems you've both suggested underground sources, so let's try Diglett's Cave. I think it's as close to underground as we can get." She said, pointing in the direction of said cave and heading off.... Redeem us from our solemn hour~

Pulling out a pair of Revives and a Hyper Potion, I patch up Xatu, Lickitung, and Tentacruel.
With healing taken care of for the moment, I follow after Maddy.

Dante followed after Thard and Maddy. He had never been to Diglett's Cave before, though, he had heard it was an amazing sight to behold. Even knowing this, Dante couldn't help but notice something about the idea of going there gave him a bad feeling.
"We need to be careful... If something is leaking from the tunnel, it is just as possible that water could leak back into the tunnel... So just be prepared to leave quickly if anything happens. It is a small chance since the Diglett built the tunnel so well... But there is still the possibility."

~Sanctus Espiritus... Upon nearing the cave, a white but slightly purple mist began to surround them. It wasn't the average mist though. It weighed heavy on the lungs, and it was clear that breathing too much of it in could be potentially dangerous. Maddy was generally unaffected, as her demon blood strengthened her immune system a little. They came to the cave entrance. Upon entering, it became evident that all the Diglett and Dugtrio had fled because there was no sign of life at all in the cave. And the mist was now thicker and more purple. "This is... sketchy..."... Redeem us from our solemn hour~

"Not good. Looks like a job for a Psychic-type. Xatu! Give us some protection!"
I send out my bird and she uses Safeguard to ward off the mist. We then enter the cave and head down the ladder to the tunnel itself.

Dante was sure to stay near the Xatu so as to be protected from the mist.
He couldn't help but become a little frightened by the abnormal fog.
"What exactly do you think is down here?" Dante asked. He then looked around and noticed there were no Diglett or Dugtrio in the came and mutter to himself, "Obviously something bad enough to make them not want to stick around..."

~Sanctus Espiritus... Maddy shrugged. "This is completely out there but... I'm thinking a demon." She said, peering around. They were nearing the middle of the tunnel now, and there was a weird purple goo oozing down over the walls. It had the lime green goo mixed in with it. "Eww..." Her attention was then drawn to a figure up ahead. There seemed to be a girl sitting down on the cave floor.As they neared, the girl could be seen sitting before a black puddle. She was swishing the liquid ooze around with her sharp and black nailed fingers. Her skin was pale and made her appear dead-like, and in the dim lighting of the cavern her yellow eyes stood out. Her hair was purple and tangled, and reached all the way down to her waist. The dress she wore was black and badly torn. It seemed she didn't take very good care of herself. She seemed obliviously to them, entranced by the puddle she was playing with.... Redeem us from our solemn hour~

I decide to make first contact. From a safe distance of course.
"Excuse me, miss. Are you down here poisoning everything? Or just playing with the slime left by another demon?"
One hand moves to Lickitung's Pokeball, the other to one of my swords.
