No, I think Gen 5 has been a bit of a let down, especially with how GameFreak are falling out of tradition a little bit by creating Black 2 and White 2 instead of developing a Pokémon Grey.
I'm on the fence over whether or not I will get the sequel games. In the mean time I'm hanging out for the Ruby and Sapphire remakes. There were some hints in SoulSilver and HeartGold to suggest that these were in the process of being made and I really hope they are.
I think that the problem with Gen 5 (Black and White) was that it was a bit of a leap on the basis it wasn't connected to any previous regions from the Pokémon world and there wasn't any of the pokémon we're used to seeing until far later in the game.
I can't overly fault GameFreak and/or Nintendo for the creation of Gen 5 as it even though it's not one of the better Pokémon games, it did have some good points to it, like the advancement in the visual effects.
I honestly can't say which of the 649 pokémon currently in existence is my favourite, though I do have a rather large soft-spots for Skitty.
Unfortunately for me, my Diamond cartridge recently passed away and it was one of the games that I've done quite well in.
