"Makes perfect sense," she thought to herself, wondering why she hadn't thought of it sooner.
"So then, defense is next?"

She nodded and watched him go and then she went off herself .
"Constant training....... just happy it isn't winter..." She said to herself as she headed outside and went into the forest but at the edge so no problems would happen. She found a stream nearby and sat down working on little walls to just try and get the timing of them right so they wouldn't backfire and get herself killed.... she knew it wasn't that much but she was still thinking in how she would manage this as she practiced.

Melony walked around and then found Reeve, she had let Lina rest for the time being so she wouldn't keep her up. She watched them practice and stayed silent.

"Defense is pretty easy too- you just electrify and polarize the air in front of and around you. The polarization will ward off most physical attacks- metal objects like kunai. Once you get really good at it, you can even evade punches and kicks by repelling iron in your opponent's body. As far as elemental attacks go, use enough chakra and the lightning will become tangible and strong enough to burn them off, most of the time."

"So a basic defense barrier would be similar to what I did to 'throw' the blade with magnetism?" she asked.

"Yeah, except you're repelling someone else's object, he says." He draws a kunai, then runs his finger down the blade, dulling it as he had with Melony.
"When you think you've built a good barrier, I'm gonna throw this at you to test it. Okay? Ready when you are."

princessbabygal107 "sir, how do I do that training without your help? I have no way of doing anything to make that type of area for it if I wanted to. I understand that with the ice..."
She stood there as the water fell from the ice of the last layer as the water rippled at its final fall. ((You've had this training before, Ally. Remember when Tut had you underwater and freezed the water over?))

(( NO WE HAVEN'T :D))
She nodded and pulled up her barrier. She made it stronga bit stronger when she had been working with the blade, and electrified it. She then polarized it, knowing that she could quickly change the polarity if she needed to. Now all there was left to do was to hope that it was strong enough, or hope that she could quickly amp it up if need be.
She quietly said, "go."

Reeve jumps back, winging the knife at Bel. He aims at her shoulder so even a hit wouldn't kill her.

She saw the blade flying at her and stood her ground. She quickly amped up the power a bit more, hoping to at least throw the blade off course if not flat out deflecting it.

As it was, the barrier would have knocked the kunai away, but the charge up sent the knife back at Reeve, who catches and sheathes it deftly. " Good job!"

She was grinning practically from ear to ear. "So that should make what I learned yesterday easier to do now. So far I've just been guessing here, but is there any way aside from 'practice' that lets you know how strong your electrical field needs to be?"

"Generally, practice, and common sense, dictated by how large, powerful, or numerous the incoming attack is. Gut feeling never steers ya far from wrong," he says. "Sorry to rush you through, by the way. D'you feel there's anything we need to go back to?"
