The age of contests on Gaia is over it seems. I noticed that last time I tried to start one up... mmph, when was that. Maybe early this year, late last year. I wouldn't suggest more than a mini contest anymore, if that. Generally I stick to RL commissions now-a-days myself.

On to my recent acquisitions. Now, I am sure breedable/feedable pets uuussally dont count, but it is a custom one of my oc. The almighty goddess of KOFK, Firn, hath knuffelized Kat. >3

Splurging a little, though I can't exactly afford it, and getting a piece that - if the sketch is any indication - is going to turn out beyond fabulous. So adorable!

It seems these days RL commishes are the way to go. The people on Gaia who can draw really well generally either charge too much or won't draw except for RL commishes, and the rest of the lot tend to just be overly too anime. I doubt I'll try to hold another art contest myself. Even my last request thread completely flopped out (I got maybe 4-6 people who responded, and none of the pieces I got just screamed "Holy cow, wow!" at me like some of the ones from my first request thread did).
