Not reserves, active duty. I'm ROTC and I'm thinking about contracting. Military police.
But that aside, training was great. It was rough, and I am tired, dirty, and am running on very little sleep, but I loved it. I'm lean and mean, fit to fight, ready and steady. Seriously, it's the best. It's extremely hard, but you feel so good afterward.
@Nelo: For now, yeah.
Anything exciting in the empire in the past two days?

Its an Anime based on Mercenary fighter pilots, operating out of a base carved out of the middle of nowhere called Area 88. In a civil war raging through a fictional middle eastern country, these mercenaries engage rebel forces for cash, which is used to pad their wallets and pay fo repairs, fuel and just about everything else at the base. Some are there to get rich, others to escape their past, and yet others were drafted by the mercs who were in need of men. Its pretty good. Here's the opener: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AnzglRqzTU

And no, things are kinda quiet. Your turn in CotS.

@Blikk: it's always a damn shame when we lose good men in a pointless war. Make sure you give your friend my best regards, please.
@Cale: Posted. I'm gonna be on all night tonight, so I can rp a bit if you're up for it.

Cheers, Jaden.
I did a couple years of ROTC in high school, meself.
Also, I watched Red Dawn last night. More or less as good as I remember, though one thing bugs me. What on earth possessed them to graffitii "Wolverines" on the wreckage of enemy vehicles? O_o

Its an adrenaline thing, CW. You smash something or see signs of a weakened enemy, you want to rub it in their face, let them know who it was who did this to them. Its 70% Bravado, 30% Psycological warfare. As Sun Tsu said, the greatest general can win a war merely by rattling his saber.

@ Ordo: It is. Michael was the first soldier in my town to die in the war. Every flag was at half-mast for him. Will do, by the way.
