This is Shi'ar technology I stole from Xavier's school. They use it to repel things like big mean b*****d Kree warriors. That humming noise is it telling you that you have about three seconds to forget you ever saw any camera. It's also telling you that if you forget that, I'll forget you putting my genius in an orange box.
