Rene blinked. "Yeah...I was about to say. You don't exactly sound like my baby bro..." Suddenly there was a pause. "So Mister Secretary...how exactly is he too occupied to answer his phone?"
"Because the phone was too far away dammit!" Caleb shouted suddenly. "Just because you're a few years older doesn't mean you can call me a baby. I am a MAN!" he added.
"....." the TADS was eerily silent.
Marshtomp's eyes were huge.

Arceus! Was everyone in this family so saucy? Allen gave Caleb the stank eye, "Yeah a man that can't handle even a sip of alcohol."
A song blared from Lydia's little body: 'HEY!
what makes a man, is it the power in his hands? is it his quest for glory? Give it all you've got, to fight to the top. so we can know your story.'
Allen slapped his face, looking back down at the phone, "Sorry about that." He had to half yell over the song.

"Wait, wait, wait...he had alcohol?" she asked.
"Yer darn tootin'..." Caleb replied, sipping from the bottle again. He highfived Lydia as the song started playing. "About time s'thing besides oldies love songs played from that..." he added.
"...not even going to ask," Rene said exasperatedly.
"S'what do ya want lady?" Caleb asked.
A long sigh was heard. "Oh you know...just wanted to check up on my brother...didn't realize he was soooo busy with his little drinking party. By the way...what is the drinking age in Unova?"
"Hah...we both know I'm past the drinking age already..." Caleb grinned.
"Yeah. In Kalos..." Rene hissed.
"Chill out...s'not like anyone can tell I've been drinking," Caleb pointed out. Then his eyes suddenly lit up. "Y'know what...Sir Whoopington...I think I will take you up on that offer for getting some coffee..." he announced. He started getting up from the bed.
More sighing from the TADs. "Really Mister Secretary?"

"Hey hey hey! In my defense, I didn't know he was wasted beyond return!" He spoke into the phone, then he looked back to Caleb, "And you're not going anywhere like that." He squinted, "You should probably just stick to your room and sleep it off." He looks back down the the phone again, "Also, My name is Allen."

"Wasted beyond return...ha," Caleb shook his head. "A little bit of wine and everyone thinks I'm wasted.." he muttered. Caleb gave Allen a look. "Someone sure is bossy...." he muttered whenever Allen told him he was staying put. "I'm not even tired..." he grumbled. "Your face...is Allen..." he retorted whenever Allen introduced himself to his sister.
"Also known as my brother's little drinking buddy...I'll keep that in mind," Rene sighed.

"Wh- I'm not! I mean! I didn't give him the drink!" Now he was just trying to regain his secretary status at the very least. "M-My Pokemon did..." He sighed.
"I think, I'm ah, just gonna go to bed." He took the phone to Caleb, "Here. don't break it." He walked to the door, "C'mon Lydia, you've done enough for tonight."
Lydia cackled as she left the room, the song still booming down the hallway.

"Nice. Well technically your pokémon are your responsibility..." Rene pointed out.
Caleb huffed as he took his TADs, "I drank some wine...big deal. That doesn't mean I'm accident prone..."
His sister sighed again. "Anyways...you should go to bed too. Lay off the wine...and stay put."
"Mhm..." he grumbled.
"I'm guessing your little blue friend is there too...you look after Caleb tonight," she ordered. Marshtomp gave a salute despite whether or not she could see it. "I'll check up on you again tomorrow...later."
"G'nigh..." Caleb sighed, hanging up. He put the wine and his TADs on the table before falling back on the bed. "So is it just me...or those songs playing when they do...is that really just a coincidence?" he asked suddenly. Marshtomp shrugged before jumping on the bed.

Maddy was taking a stroll down one of the busy streets of Castelia City. Even at this time of day, the city was still loud and bustling. She stopped in her tracks to look up at the tall buildings that towered around her. Right here, in the middle of such a large city, she was just another face in the crowd. It made her feel insignificant but it allowed her to think freely without getting bothered. She frowned as a group of Team Plasma grunts walked past her, laughing and talking loudly. The crowds of people seemed to part and allow them to pass. Her gaze to the ground, Maddy continued onward, heading towards the northern exit out of the city.

Cody stepped outside, the bright sunshine blinding him temporarily as he brought his hand up to shield his eyes. Lampent appeared next to him, gently teetering side to side, taking in the bright sun. He smiled at the pokemon, gesturing to her as he began to walk, his arms extending into the air as he stretched. Maybe this would give him some time to explore the city.

She found herself wandering onto Unova Route 4. The dusty pavement beneath her feet was blazing hot from the sun above. Unova was a really weird region, to have a ruin filled desert just outside it's biggest city. Walking on the side of the road to stay out of the way of traffic and people trying to get to the next town in a hurry, Maddy reached into her pocket and pulled out her lighter. She liked to play around with it when she was craving a smoke. "Hmmm..." Eventually, she became bored and sat down on a rock, protruding from the dusty earth. With a sigh, she settled for just watching people walk by.

Rei flopped himself down on the lobby's plush sofa. After a day of doing anything but research, he was feeling twitchy. His hand slipped into his bag, rummaging around for his computer. A Zubat knocked his hand away from the bag with a screech. Perplexed, the Aquan looked up to his companion.
"What?" She bit him in response. He recoiled, more out of instinct than anything else. The Zubat huffed and placed herself between the bag's opening and his hand. She did not want him working today.
"Fine, fine," Rei grumbled, conceding defeat. He walked over to the breakfast bar and selected a few oranges from the fruit basket, now without an idea of what to do for the day. He rummaged through more advertising booklets, but tossed them aside when he found nothing new. Perhaps he should spend the day exploring, he decided.

Caleb trudged down the stairs. Even after resting for most of the night, he still looked like Trubbish. He groaned as he plopped down in an empty chair at the breakfast bar. He leaned forward and buried his face in his arms. Marshtomp scooted over, handing him a packet. Caleb muttered a 'thank you' before taking the packet and ripping it open. He popped the aspirin into his mouth before downing a glass of orange juice.

Rei smiled knowingly; there was no mistaking the groans of a hangover. He grabbed two bananas and offered one to his grumpy friend, who was downing the juice.
"Hello, Caleb," he said, doing his best not to speak loudly. "Had an eventful evening?"

There was a chuckle in the corner of the room before an eerie shadow creeped out revealing a Banette. Lydia floated over to the other trainers, taking a seat on a tall stool. She waved innocently as a faint melodic tune drifted from her body. She sure learned how to use that little music device with ease. "Ba-ne!" She said aloud with a grin.
Of course Allen was already out and about in the city looking for places he had yet to visit. He inconspicuously made sure he still had the two Pokeballs he brought in case he ran into another one of those random battling street performers. That last clown made a terrible impression. A shudder came with the thought.
He stepped into the hotel, waving to the old woman. She nodded in return and went back to her crossword puzzle. He looked around to find some teammates near the breakfast bar. "Oh, Afternoon guys!" Then he noticed Lydia sitting there too, "You bothering everyone again?" He chuckled reaching over and petting her head.
She gave a 'I dunno~' type of look giggles when he petted her.

"Not at all..." came Caleb's muffled reply. He might be hungover, but he could still be sassy. Marshtomp waved to Rei and the Countess. Caleb winced, letting out an exasperated sigh as Allen greeted them ever so cheerfully. Why did he have to do it so loudly? Inconsiderate jerk.
