"Alright, here goes." Waffle mumbled. A magic field appeared beneath their feet and before they knew it, they were zapped out of the prison complex and in the main hall of the castle. At first Waffle couldn't see anyone around, but eventually Kassa ran out of one of the hallways and spotted the small group.

"Here!" she said as she motioned them to follow her as she went down the stairs and into the next room over. The group followed her until they reached a steel door. Kassa pulled out her old G-Corp keycard and opened the door for the group. She nudged a cinderblock into the doorway to keep it from shutting itself.

The room itself was pitch black, only illuminated by the pale blue glow of computer screens and power systems running on magical energy. "Set him on the bed over there." she instructed Luciano. She pressed a small button at her desk that lit up the area around it, and then started looking through her collection of substances.

Kassa pulled out a syringe with a thick needle, then turned around. "I'd need you to restrain him while I inject this cure into him, and Waffle should make sure he doesn't try to bite anything when he's up..."

"Are you serious?" Waffle blurted out. Kassa looked at Waffle with a playful smirk. "Would you be Grombie food?" Waffle couldn't quite argue too much, and mumbled a 'no' back to Kassa.

"...although it's mean to think we're all like that." she mumbled to herself as she extracted some of the cure with the syringe.

Kassa walked back and brushed some blue hair out of her face so her vision was unobstructed. She stuck the needle into Sabe, who immediately woke up, and tried to inject it as he flailed, screamed and tried to bite her arm. Waffle tried to keep Sabe's head against the pillow while risking getting bitten. Sometimes he would back down on purpose and try to snap at Waffle, so she simply grabbed a pillow and smothered him with it until she got a disapproving glance from Kassa.

Soon the cure was fully injected into Sabe, and Kassa had everyone back off as Sabe stopped flailing and started to look around. She took off her glasses to polish them, accidentally revealing hollowed eyes, and put them back on again to see Waffle staring at her with a surprised look on her face. Kassa was honestly puzzled.

Kassa blinked at Luciano's question. "Is he? Well, yes. But!...it takes much longer to fix things than to destroy them. He'd still might have some Grombie-like behavior even after a day or three." she replied as she looked at the elf on the bed. Sabe's eyes were still sunken in, and his skin was still greyish, but they were slowly going back to normal. Waffle walked back to the bed, and he immediately tried to hug her arm, but she backed away in fright. Kassa's head tilted a little as the still Grombie-like Sabe curled into a ball and flipped himself over, facing away from Waffle.

"Interesting... Kassa noted as she went back to her desk and jotted down some notes.

Kassa looked at Luciano with a playful grin. "Actually, a quick aggression test first." she said. "Although he's still looking as he is, he can't really get anyone else infected. That's what this cure does. Stops infection and slowly reverses the problems caused."

She dug through her desk and installed a set of realistic 'skins' onto her robotic arm, then walked to Sabe. She set her arm in front of him and saw him curl around it. For several minutes, he didn't try to bite at all. She repeated this process with her other arm, which was actual human flesh instead of metal, fiberglass and rubberized plastic. Still no biting, although Sabe took a small interest in it. Only after eight minutes did Sabe unsuccessfully attempt to n** at it.

Kassa pulled her arms away from him, wrote down more notes, and looked through them one more time. "If you really wish to, he can stay. I've been recently busy with something else, so no guarantees. Much more convenient for both of us if he goes with you, as you only have to make sure he doesn't regress. From my sight, it isn't necessary to isolate him. You choose."

Waffle looked up at Kassa, surprised at the results. Now it was down to either leaving him here so he doesn't bite, or taking him back home and letting him interact with others.

Luciano looked down at poor Sabe, the poor man all curled up on the bed. ". . . He must be so scared. . .", he thought. Luciano looked over at Waffle first, then at Kassa and he said, "We're taking him home. . he's going to need a lot of support from his friends." he looked down at Sabe again, and gently patted his arm.

"Hokay~!" Kassa said cheerfully. "Any later issues, see me." She looked at Sabe and Luciano, but then later she heard more of Colbur's nagging from upstairs. She sighed and started to trudge out of the room. "Proper time to be leaving, you two." she said as she left the lab.

Waffle waited for Luciano to pick up Sabe again, and the three went back to HQ through the portal and through Waffle's room.
