Lol, I came back yesterday. The whole thing was incredibly awkward until everyone showed up. Not to say it's a whole lot of people though. Our family is mostly old folks or dead folks.

And kind of offtopic, but I was attempting to install Linux alongside Windows and forgot ONE little thing and I accidentally the Windows boot. So eventually I'm just going to delete everything on my computer and just use the Ubuntu build of Linux. Windows isn't worth saving anymore. lol

EDIT: Ubuntu rocks, guys. Nine times out of ten it's faster than Windows and I don't have to pay a single penny for programs because most that run on Linux builds are open source (and usually free). My only gripe is needing WINE to run some Windows programs unsupported by it (and the glitches that come with that), but that's nitpicking compared to the benefits.

(I also explained what happened with Windows to my dad, and he's now all "I ain't settin' up s**t no more" and "Your problem if it breaks" so I guess my computer is really mine now. Mission accomplished. smile )

@waffle: Sounds like your having fun with your computer XD (cause most of that went over my head)

@Nari: How did you like the HP movie? I just saw both parts yesterday and in my opinion its the best movie of the series!

.o. busy busy busy...

Let's see, I got all my homework done that was due this week except my character and object design class. I still have to create a character that I'll want to do a full turn-around for [in other words something without much detail that should be easy to rotate]. I tend to add lots of random details... which kill me in the long run, lol.
.w. I can't wait to start learning more about drawing drapery tomorrow in Life Drawing. It'll help me draw clothes better... and I think you all know how much I love clothes.

For anyone interested, I'm doing OC commissions on my DeviantArt now for just $2. .o. [/advertise]

lol, one of my coworkers [she volunteers at the thrift store from time to time, not a real employee] asked me the other day "how do you know when you're falling in love?" There were so many possible reactions to the question that I simply had to say "I have no clue." .o.; I was torn between being irritated because she's like, 15, going "aaaawww, you're in love?" because it was kind of adorable, and telling her I have no experience in the matter so I wouldn't be a good source of advice. Apparently when I have conflicting thought processes the end result is that my brain shuts down and spits out an "I dunno".
8D So I was kind of curious how you guys would respond to that situation~!

@Waffle: Glad to hear that you're off the road and that your health is improving~

@Aly: Glad you're feeling better too~

@HP: @w@; The movie was fantastic<3 x3 I love midnight premier audiences, they have so much interaction with the movie. Like the whole room bursting into cheers as Mrs. Weasley uttered her most amazing quote to Bellatrix<3 along with many other epic moments~
Anyway, it was fantastic. I'll agree with Pen on it being the best of the series. Snape's background scene almost had me in tears.

@ Pen: Yes I am. >:3

@ Koji: Thanks.

---about that 15 y.o.: I know I'd be sincere and be like "*coughbreakupnextmonthcough*" ...yeah, I can't be sympathetic with teens/tweens 'falling in love'. Seeing some kid get pissed off at me for saying that and later seeing her come back whining about how her 'twu wuv' broke up with her so soon would make my year lol
---about your schoolwork: Lol, lots of details and lots of clothes. Sounds like drawing Victorian-era dresses would be heaven for you then, right? As for your character/object design class, have fun making throwaway characters for assignments. I've been tempted to draw OCs for art/drawing assignments just to hear people be like "wtf man?" ._."

@ assignments: Do your best is all I can say. And Good Luck. Oh one more thing... GENERAL TO SPECIFIC!!!! Never look at details first and get portion and shape above all else. Character sheets are nothing new to me...

@Teen/Tween romance: Too much drama at a young age can make anyone go insane...

@ HP: New Discovery!

โ€œYes, itโ€™s rather funny, really, that next to no-one realised the snake that Harry set free in Philosopherโ€™s Stone turned out to be Voldemortโ€™s final Horcrux, Nagini.โ€

Found it on Tumblr and I'm still in shock!

@ Pen: Even though the drawing tip wasn't directed at me, thanks! I was able to run an art thread like a madman (not on Gaia though) and actually post decent stuff on dA. biggrin

Sorry I haven't been on lately. At first I didn't come on often cause I was busy, then as the heat started to raise the power went out in my building. Two days later, a day after they fix our electricity. The whole block goes out!

I just got back power and don't know how long it will last time. Gah, yesterday sucked. Anyway...on too what I missed.

Response to pen's JK quote: OoO WHAT!? *runs to go reread the part* Well at least I wasn't the only one who didn't see it coming...

Koji on t(w)een romance: "When you don't go down the Romeo and Juliet path, young lovers stupidity...it takes more than three days to know you love someone."

I second Waffle's thanks, Pen.

Alright, now I'm off to catch up in the main...Gah I haven't posted there in ages...
PostPosted: Mon Jul 25, 2011 1:50 pm

@ waffle: Your computer talk went over my head, too. >.<

@ Pen: HP was amaaaazing to me!! I was like 'whoa!' and 'gasp!' on so many parts, it was ridiculous. xD Definitely the best!!

And OMGGGGG, my brain went into shock when I realized what you were quoting-- the snake was Voldemort's...One of those moments when you go, ' ****, Harry.....-__-' xD

@ Koji: Way to stay on top of your work. >:3 You're not allowed here until you're finished!! (Jk...kinda.) Good luck with it all, and don't make drawing too complicated despite how much you like details.

@ 15 year-old: Maybe I'm reading these responses wrong, but I think you guys are being mean atm. I fell in love at 15...:/ I'm 16. Remember?

My take:
It happens. It doesn't always end a month later like stereotypical teenage relationships you hear about. I'm going strong at almost 9 months of dating, and I really do feel like it's true-deal love somewhere in there. Not just infatuation, obsession, lust, whatever else you could call it. It does get insane if you stick with it for a while, but you have to learn and grow along with new developments regarding your feelings. Long as you have a level head and are able to analyze/think rationally about your feelings right now, you'll be okay later on. If you can answer questions like, 'Do I just like being around him, or do I actually feel like I cherish interacting and communicating with him?', you know if it's love or not. Stuff that goes deeper versus shallow crush stuff. Talk to yourself, find someone else to talk to, and you can figure it out.

That's basically what I would say to her, Koji.

@ Aly: Ahgghhh, that bites...Hope the electricity stays on.

@Nariana: Lol.
---about teen 'love': You may or may not be an exception then.

Unrelated: Today makes me 17. Time to go get sick of/from cake again. razz
And place an order for my ********' compression vests. About time.

Man I haven't been on the internet for awhile.

@Waffle and Tique: Your welcome to the advice and I'm very happy to know that it helped.

@JK Quote: I know right!

I have more to share from tumblr! (which if you guys care I'm, copper-piece (cause pennies were once just copper pieces ))

@ Koji: It's ok! biggrin You're not the only one! I am just ALL about the details! Writing, drawing (Especially drawing)! But, hey! As long as you're happy with the end results then I think that's all that should matter!

@ Everyone about The topic of Teen Romance: I'm going to have to agree with Nari about the comments, they did come off as kinda mean. And I say that, like, unless you've experienced it then it would be best if you just NOT say a word about it. (Follow in Koji's example, pretty much.)
Based on my experiences, it's NOTHING like the stereotype. Most of my relationships lasted nevermore than five months, and they were some really good ones.
But, when you know that it's love. . . Oh, you'll KNOW. You'll totally know.

@ waffle: I think I did, but in case I didn't...

Happy Belated Birthday~! ^-^

And yes, I might be an exception.

@ Pen: I shall check those videos out later when I'm on the computer. :3
