Yue nodded slowly, "It should be fine," he looked around, "I just need to find a place to mark.. to use as a door."
Which would be the easiest, an arch way, an actual door, or a false door as they had used, something like that.
"Oh..." Lin thought about that, it made sense for his name then she thought to herself, but she couldn't imagine being that old... well she thought... at least as old as him... being someone as being a first... well there was Trisha.. but it wasn't really the same she thought to herself.
She wondered what it was like being new and the first, Trisha said that their world had not changed since she was created only a year ago, it was nothing like Gaia. She wondered...
"Was it..." she asked, "Like... everything was perfect? The weather was always good, and all the plants were good, and there were no buildings or stuff like that?"
She had been told that Gaia was like that too once a very long time ago, she wondered would her birth place some day become like this? Like Gaia? With horses, and knives and cars, and streets and castles?

Sir Valdemar took a few moments to ponder how to explain this. It was hard enough to explain to his own kind, let alone to someone from a different race from a different world altogether.
"The world was far different from anything you might imagine," he replied finally. "When you think of weather, you think of clouds, and sun, and moon, and the like, don't you?"
Of course she did.
"But when this world was new, there was none of that at all," he explained slowly. "So I suppose you could say ... there was no weather at all. The plants grew everywhere, and they weren't the plants like you see today." He shook his head slowly. "No. These plants were enormous ... and lucious. Beautiful ... as the plants of today, even the most beautiful, can only strive to become. There were no buildings, in that you are correct, though." He nodded.

"Here," Nadya nodded, leading Yue towards the carriagehouse. "No one but Father ever comes here. Place your mark wherever you need."
She beckoned for everyone else to follow as well, since of course they would all have to pass through the portal once it was created.

Lin tried to imagine that, she supposed in the Second world there was no moon, but it could be just because they went during the day. No... she was sure there was a sun, but it was always shining, there were clouds but only enough for that wispy forever summer feel.
She didn't know if there were plants in the Second World that did not grow on Gaia... it was a lot like Gaia only... emptier.
"So everyone just lived outside?"
Well.. that's what most Seconds did, only down did some of them begin to make homes... and the mers.. well she thought the mers would be living out in the open for quite a long time to come.
Yue nodded as he followed Nadya, he looked at the building and thought it would do. He looked at the door carefully taking a finger and frosting the door with his mark. Of a lunar phrase for those familiar with the runic system for the cycle.
Mia watched as she followed behind clutching her stuffed cat against her chest. Things she thought were going to get interesting.

Triton watched as his brother did his work, he had never seen Yue perform a major magical work, but it went without saying that those were a pain to do.

Outside?
In the technical sense of the word, yes. But ... it wasn't as if they hadn't had homes. It was hard to explain, and could be much more simply expressed through images, as he had in the library.
"If you would like," he offered as they reached the ground floor, "I can show you after our meal."

Gion stood close to Nadya as they watched Yue work. He had never seen magic performed like this before, and he couldn't help but wonder if this was what it had been like when Elnara had traveled between the worlds.

"Yes," Lin replied back, "I want to see if it's like where I came from," she paused, "Well... not come from, come from, but where I was..."
She paused, born wasn't a right word she was born in the inn.
"Well... where my vase came from," she finally decided.
Yes, that had sounded right to her.
The moon phrases glowed and faded one by one until only one was left, it was that one that Yue touched and the door opened leading to another land, one that looked very different from the planation but to be fair, it was barren when he looked.
"There."

Donovan wasn't fazed and trusted Yue enough that, that was the place. Besides the he wasn't about to question a mage on how he did his job, it was generally a bad idea.
"Well, let's go," he muttered hefting his bag a bit before walking, "We can't let it stay open all day."

Triton would be the first to admit it didn't look inviting, but if that was where they were go then it was where they would go. He nodded for a moment before following Donovan's lead.

"Vase?" Sir Valdemar asked curiously. "I'm afraid I don't understand."
He entered the smaller dining room, where the ranking staff ate their meals, and took a seat, setting Lin on the table next to him (since if she sat on a chair, she wouldn't be able to reach the table top).
A moment later, food was placed in front of both of them.

Gion recognized the barrenness of the plains and nodded to himself darkly. Yes. That was where they needed to go. He felt no pleasure at the idea of returning, but if that was what was needed ...
He took Nadya's hand and led her into the portal and into the Northland.

Nadya followed Gion through the portal and looked around to try to get her bearings. Before they could even start after the humans, they had to figure out where they themselves were, after all.
She turned to ask Gion, but decided to wait until everyone else had come through the portal as well, and turned to look for them.

"My vase," Lin replied as if it was the most normal thing in the world, "That's where we come from," she blinked, "Oh wait... no... Cindy came from a feather.... and Jin came from a painting.... and didn't Triton get born by some magic portal..." she thought about it for a moment trying to think about where all her family members came from, "Okay well six of us.. no wait.. I forgot those people my siblings had," she counted on her fingers, "Fifteen of us come from vases, and everyone else came from something else, though Yuki says that Mommy and Daddy came from inside a person but I don't see how that would work very well."
She sat down and looked at the food in front of her, and wondered if she was required to use a fork, maybe if she stabbed it.
Yue waited for Mia to go in before going in after her and shutting the door behind him. The place where they appeared he left one more moon mark so it could be activated upon leaving.

Triton looked at his surroundings perhaps the biggest difference was in temperature though this was more bareable it was like walking into a somewhat conditioned room. Though the anology was a bit lost on this point.
