Deirdra watched him take off his coat and put it with the others. His beautiful black, feathery wings were now exposed and she smiled at their brilliance. When he turned to face her, she saw a peculiar glint in his eyes and she looked at him curiously. "Shien..?"

But, before she knew it he was simpley gone right after he took a step toward her. Her eyes grew wide and her eyes glanced at the empty space in which he was just standing in. A gasp escaped from her lips and she turned her head to look all around the room. "What the...?" She asked herself quietly as she heard her heart beating faster from Shien dissapearing. It was so strange to her.

But then, after awhile had passed, he appeared right before her eyes. She let out a gasp as she was suddenly surprised by it. He wrapped his arms around her and put his head near hers. They kissed and their lips parted after a few moments. Deirdra just looked at him, her eyes were still wide but they now narrowed more and she took in a deep breath. Her heart was beating fast because she was so afraid.

"Shien.. You scared me!" Deirdra exclaimed. Although, she couldnt help but have atleast a small smile on her face. This power of his was all new to her, so it kind of caught her off guard.

Deirdra yawned once more and she covered her mouth as she did so. Her eyes travelled over to the clock as well and she sighed, seeing that it was definately getting late. "You're right..." She closed her eyes for moment then reoppened them. They had started to get heavy and she rubbed one of them with her hand, then rested it to the side of her limply.

After Shien rested on her bed, she smiled and held onto his hand that he took hers with. "I love you too..." She said quietly. Her eyes looked over to his and she took a step closer to the bed. She crawled beside him and layed down, resting her head on his stomach. Though, she made sure that her horns didnt stab him.

Another yawn escaped from Deirdra's mouth and she closed her eyes slowly. She was infact very tired from what happened earlier and everything else. It had been a chore for her to stay up even this much. She leaned up closer to him and she kissed his chin, then layed back and situated herself onto him. She knew that he would move her in a matter of moments from where they were, but she would leave that up to him.

"Good night.. Shien..." She said slowly. Only moments after did she fall asleep. Her breathing was light but steady as her chest rose up and fell with each breath she took. Her hair covered up her shoulder and was sprawled out behind her. Deirdra still held onto Shien's hand, though now limply.

Deirdra started to sweat while she layed there under the covers with Shien holding onto her by the waist, laying behind her. Her eyes were still closed, though very tightly. Her hair was sprawled out along her head on the pillow and over her ram-like horns. Her breathing was a little short and seperated as her chest rose and fell with sudden movements.

She was having a horrible dream, or so it seemed to be a dream. In her mind she was just standing in a dark room, with nothing in it besides a light overhead and an old wooden chair that she was seated at. She was wearing what she was wearing now, her baggy black dress shirt and black skirt. Her purple-grey eyes moved around wearily in the dark room. But, then suddenly someone appeared instantly before her eyes. He was a tall, dark, and handsome man. His black hair was short and spikey which made his crimson eyes stand out. His sharp features were very distinct and is what made him good looking. He was wearing a sleek black suit with black dress shoes.

His eyes had an intense feeling to them, making you feel like they were just burning through your soul everytime they rested on you. Deirdra kept her head down and looked to the floor as the man took steps closer to her, almost abuot a foot away from her now. He raised up his hand high and moved it towards her face with rapid speed, slapping her right on the cheek. The impact was so hard that Deirdra was flung from her chair that she was seated at, causing her to fall hard on the cold floor. She put a hand over her cheek as she looked up at him, lifting up her torso. There was now a purple bruise forming on her pale skin.

"Deirdra... Poor Deirdra." The man began to say in a deep sort of seductive voice, "You know, I do everything for you. Everything i possibly can afford to do. And how do you repay me? Do you do what you were supposed to do for me? Hmmm?" He said in an angry tone. His face started to get distraught with anger. Deirdra listened to him while sitting up on the floor, keeping her hand on her bruised cheek. But, he suddenly kicked her in the stomach hard unexpectadly.

Deirdra let out a yelp of pain and she curled up on the floor, now holding onto her waist that had just recieved a hard blow. It started to tighten up and it felt as though someone just stabbed her. She let out a small cough in her small innocent voice. But, when she did she coughed up a small amount of blood that scattered on the hard, cold floor beside her. Her bat-like wings folded up around her small body somewhat, trying to protect herself from further beatings.

The man looked at her in disgust. "... No, no you didn't. You dissobeyed me and instead went along with this other fellow, didn't you? Shien, is it?" He rose up an eyebrow and snickered. Deirdra was silent but was full of pain physically and mentally. She didnt want him to bring up Shien. Fear rose into her as she was now afraid for him, because he knew. "Yes, i believe it is..." He answered his own question while Deirdra stayed silent on the floor, though letting out a small whimper here and there.

"Now, my dear..." He began once more in a softer voice. It was as if his whole attitude changed into a sweet and caring person. He bent down next to her and lifted up her chin with his index finger that had long nails. It poked into her skin, though not enough to break through. He looked into her eyes and her heart seemed to burn as their eyes met. "... don't dissobey me again. You have a purpose..." He whispered to her in a snake-like tone of voice. A small smirk appeared on his face and he moved his hand upward along the side of her face that was without a bruise. Deirdra closed her eyes tightly as he ran his nail on his index finger down her cheek, causing her skin to break and a large, deep scratch to appear. A few drips of blood rolled down her cheek from the new wound he gave her.

"So, fullfill it my sweet dear Deirdra. Make me proud..." He finished, his voice drifting off a little. Deirdra slowly opened up her eyes once more, having a few tears drop down from her cheeks. She nodded her head slowly, afraid to do anything else or say anything being afraid he might hurt her once more. But then, before anything else happened, Deirdra awoke from her slumber.

Deirdra's eyes slowly opened. But, as soon as she awoke, she bent her body inwards and went in a sort of fetal position. Her stomach was cramping horribly and the pain was almost too much to bare. A groan escaped from her pale lips. Her eyes widened and she shook her head, afraid of what might be there as well. Her small hand lifted upwards and touched the sides of her face slowly. At first she didnt feel anything, but then on the right side she felt a sharp pain as soon as she pressed down on her skin near her cheek bone. On the other side, she felt a few small drips of blood falling from a large cut along her cheek.

Her eyes widened and a whimper escaped from her once more. It accured to her that what she just experienced wasnt really a dream at all. But, it scared her to death. She knew who it was that was in her dream almots immediately after she saw him. Her memories just started to slowly piece together in her mind. Her heart raced in her chest and she shook her head a little. "No...." She spoke to herself quietly. Despite her being back in reality, she didnt almost even beleive it until she looked behind her and saw Shien next to her.

Though, that didnt seem to help that much. Because now she was worried again for Shien's life. Should she tell him? Should she just act like nothign happened? She asked herself these questions in her mind, not really knowing what to do about the events that were about to unfold.

Deirdra suddenly felt Shien hold onto her more tightly. Though, it almost made her in even more pain for two reasons. One, was that since she had recieved a kick to the stomach in her dream but it seemed to go back into reality as well, it pained her to even move it. Reason number two, would be that she was almost afraid to talk to Shien now.

Her hand felt her face which had a few more drips of blood dripping down from the gash on her cheek along with the bruise on her other cheek. She tried to remain calm and to let Shien help her. But, it was extremely hard. Deirdra felt as though the man might just reappeare at any time and do even worse things to her.

As she went into Shien's lap, Deirdra whimpered and her hands started to shake as they usually did when she was nervous or something related to it. Her eyes were tightly closed. Shien's warmth drained into her, trying to soothe her beaten soul. In her mind, the mental picture of the man burned through all other thoughts. It haunted her, never dissapearing. "Shien... Please..." She said quietly, her voice shaking.

Deirdra took in a few scattered breaths. "... Don't let him take me...." She said, choking up a bit after the last word. "He overpowers me... I.. I... Shien..."

Deirdra took in a few deep breaths as he held onto her hands. The shaking that she was under going started to slow down and almost cease. Her heart almost went back to its regular, slow beating. His warm hands on hers made her calm down mostly even though in her head she was still confused and fearful.

She listened to his words. Though, everything that he told her she already knew. But, thats what worried her in a way. Because if he was going to protect her, then his life would be in great danger. That was what she wanted least of all and it upset her. Even though he was just trying to make her feel better and was telling her the truth. Deirdra new he really had no idea what he was up against though, and its scared her.

When Shien whiped away the blood that was on her cheek, she opened up her eyes and looked down at their hands together, then as his hand moved up and carressed her cheek. She slowly took in a deep breath and nodded her head after he spoke. "I know...." She said quietly in reply. Deirdra didnt really know what else to say to him. Her mind was confused and tired, and so was her body. She felt weak and powerless suddenly, even more so than she had already felt in the past.

Deirdra nodded her head a little and tilted her head against his lightly, letting her rest on him. She put all of her weight on him, which wasnt much. She just let go and let him hold her as he comforted her.

Deirdra slowly closed her eyes as Shien leaned back as he held onto her arwith his arms wrapped around her chest. She took in a few steady, deep breaths while she thought up what to say in repy to his question. She didn't even really know if she wanted to tell him though. But, nonetheless, she would eventually have to if she wanted them to help eachother.

"Shien... Well..." Her voice stopped for a moment and then began again slowly. "... You told me your past, now i should return the favor. To tell you the truth, i don't really know much about my past. When i was 6, i awoke by a volcano a ways away from here. Actually, im not even sure the precise location, though it doesnt really matter much im sure... But, i had no memory of where i had come from, or what i was doing there, or anything at all. So, I did the only thing i could do, travel away from there and try to find out who i was..."

She shook her head slowly and let out a hurtful sigh from remembering it. "I was so alone... But, one night i had a dream, much like the one i just.. had. There was this man in a black suit with black hair and deep crimson eyes..." She paused for a moment. Through her closed eyelids she could almost see the mental picture she had of him. "He called me Deirdra.... So i assumed that was my name... And he told me, to go to a place called Ria High School...."

Her eyes slowly opened up as she stared at the ceiling blankly, just thinking about the memories. "After that, on my journey to try to find this place. I had more and more dreams involving him. He told me things... I found out only a few facts about him in return though. But.. Shien.. You see... I... This man..." She had trouble spilling out the things that she in her heart already knew. She knew it was hard to believe and it was hard to tell it as well.

"Shien, you know why i look this way? Why most other people or demons dont have these appearances? Well... That's because most demons aren't straight from Hell, Shien... But, i am..." Deirdra said this sort of painfully. It took her awhile to believe it, but she had proof of it right on her. "That's what that tattoo means, Shien... It's a mark." Her eyes closed once more and she stopped speaking, just letting it soak into him. Of course, she had no idea if he already knew all of this.

"He sent me to destroy. That.. is my purpose..."

Deirdra just shook her head and pulled herself out of Shien's grasp. A few tears ran down her cheek once more. It seemed so common for her to cry lately. She hated it all. She hated how she was and who she was and what she was meant for. In all reality, she despised herself at the moment. She just wanted to leave and to be alone... Even from Shien.

So, without saying anything more, she rose up off of the bed and walked with haste towards their dorm room door. She pulled open the door with the golden handle, and quickly went out. Her long silver hair freely blowing behind her as she went. The door just barely missed her horns as she rushed by though.

Deirdra made her way down the elevator, just crossing her arms over her chest and keeping her head down. She hated the wait dreadfully. Her heart just sank as she didnt know what Shien would think of her now. As soon as the doors to the elevator opened, she rushed out, and even ran passed the front desk. The man gave her a weird stare, but for once she didnt seem to care. She just ran out of there as quickly as possible, a few more tears streaming down her face and along the scar on her cheek and the bruise on the other.
