I totally had no idea I was in this guild until today but apparently I have been in it awhile. Speaking as an Economics major, my views on communism are as follows:
1. Karl Marx and Friedrik Engles had a good idea about government, however they lacked the nerve and power to do anything about it. Also their ideas on taxation were a bit flawed as can be seen by a proper analysis of a tax curve.
2. Vladimir Lenin achieved the only true state of communism that has ever been in existance. Lenin's bolshevik revolution was a wonderous act that proved that government is only as powerful as the people who support it. His five year plans were the best ideas to come out of Russia ever, and proved to be times of actual economic growth of the region,
3. Mao Zedong, Joeseph Stalin, Kim Jong Ill, Fidel Castro, and many other dictators claim to be communist leaders, but in truth I tell you they are not. That is not how true communism works, they are nothing but tyrants and dictators that mutilate and distort the real idealology behind Marx's and Lenin's beliefs. They are a shameful blight upon this world, a taint on the true nature of communism, to provide for its people.

yeah this guild is pretty intense some times, very critical, some times a little too critical but what can i say we are all very passionate and at the end of the day we are all commrades together. so if you ever get s**t dont let it get you down or turn you off.
if you want education this is probably the best location for leftist education in this site.

Kaz-Balan Hi there! I'm Laura, a 21yo French anarchist. Don't scream just now: I got invited in here by Jungle Boots and Comrade Rob, and I intend having some political discussions ( and possibly even participating in educated political debates ) around communism and ( initial ) socialism. Feel free to interrogate my ( personal ) positions on anarchism, as well ! I haunt ED ( and its sub-forums ) on a regular basis, but in that playground, it seems my posts are too serious for most Gagaians, even when I resort to humour. Be warned that I'm a FORMER communist ( French LCR, now NPA, but without me ), and that I am now a REAL anarchist ( who is STILL exploring that political theory, though... ) Be also warned that I love history and that I hate all ruling assholes with a passion, INCLUDING such ones as Lenin's head general Trotsky, who insured communism died in Kronstadt in 1921. Of course, I'd just heart participating in its rebirth.
I'm "just" wondering if you'll get used to my posting style...
...and to my provocative ways. Bah, you're that anarchist who subtly called me an authoritarian :p

It makes me wonder once more what really opposes communists and anarchists... "Transition"? How organization has to occur? What is a revolution, and what are its aims? ... Maybe I was just too subtle. last post. Well at least I think you were hinting at that...

Kaz-Balan Comrade Rob In this thread last post. Well at least I think you were hinting at that... Hmmmm.... No. Really. All my attacks were directed to the one who created the thread ( Evil Kitty of DOOOM ). Now, feel free to explain why my "hints" had you think that I called you an authoritarian.
Maybe there's something to be learned and discussed, doing so. Just out of reflex. I've been called an authoritarian for being a Marxist-Leninist before so I just assumed you were doing so as well.
