Jou just blinked, breathed in deeply and accepted the remote, only to put it down a second later. He didn't really want to be sitting here like this, rattly as he was. "Thanks, but I think i'm gonna go lie down. Upstairs." He sat up and straightened his jacket out again, his deck almost slipping from his pocket as he did so. Before leaving, he gave Bakura a thankful smile and then turned, heading up the stairway.

Bakura stared at Jounouchi's retreating form for a minute wondering he had said something to upset him while trying to comfort him. Quickly flicking the TV off, the spirit hoisted himself up off of the couch and started to make his way up the staires after Jounouchi. The blond haired boy had made it to his room by the time Bakura finally got to the top of the staires. "Hey Jounouchi, did I something that upset you just now?" Bakura questioned.

Jou paused momentarily in the doorway to his room, thinking over Bakura's question. Why was he feeling so upset? He couldn't tell. His thoughts were swirling with what Bakura had just been saying to him. What he was really feeling was a build up of emotions that he didn't know how to express. He hoped that Yami Bakura wouldn't take it personally, because it wasn't his fault. Jou just needed a moment to sort himself out. He turned back to Bakura, connecting his eyes with the spirit's and gave him a smile he hoped would convey his feelings. "No, you didn't. In fact..." the blonde chuckled, "you've done a lot of good stuff for me. Don't worry about it." He smiled at Bakura one more time before walking into his room and going straight towards the bed, simply falling on it and laying on top of the sheets and comforter.

Bakura stood there for a moment letting what Jounouchi had said sink in. Pausing once he'd entered the door frame into Jou's room "Well if you need anything, even at like 3 in the morning you come and get me alright Jounouchi?" With that Bakura turned out of the room and headed back to his own.

Jou listened to Bakura as he stopped in front of his door, spoke, and then walked away. Despite all his confusion, he felt a warmth spread through him at Bakura's words. It felt like he was the one being watched out for, for once...
"Course' Bakura..." he said out loud hoping Bakura could hear him while rolling over on his back and closing his eyes. "If I need anything..." he was out in a moment after that, rolling over on his side to get comfortable as Duel Monsters cards slipped out of his jacket pocket and onto the bedsheets.

As Bakura walked into his room and began getting ready to go to sleep he noticed a few things were out of place in his room. His closet door had been closed and was now open, things on his desk were out of place and there were books on his shelf that had moved. The biggest difference in his room was Jounouchi's red eye black dragon card lying on the floor in the middle of the room. Picking up the card and then sitting on his ed Bakura examined it more. It had to be Jounouchi's he was the only person he knew with that card and to have recently been in his house. This meant that he'd been in his room earlier, but when, had Yuugi been in here with him if so what were they doing. Bakura had manadged to get himself a bit worked up but decided he wouldn confont Jounouchi about this whole situation in the morning instead. Placing the card on his nightstand Bakura then slipped into his bed and under the coveres and proceeded to just stair vacantly up at the ceiling until he fell asleep.

For the first half of the night, Jou slept fitfully. When he woke up at around 2 AM his legs were completely entangled in the bedsheets he'd fallen asleep on, and he found that there were Duel Monsters cards spread randomly around his bed. Mumbling some angry sounds towards nothing in particular, Jou freed himself from the sheets and stepped out of bed, staggering out the bedroom door and down the hall to the stairs, making his way downstairs and finally into the kitchen. Still half asleep, he grabbed a bag of chips and a bowl, throwing a handful or two of chips into it, then walking into the living room and sitting on the couch. He sat in the dark, eyes half closed, while he ate, not bothering to turn on any lights. By the time the bowl was half empty the blonde was asleep again, his head resting on his shoulder while he sat straight up.

Bakura woke up the next morning and immediatly got dressed and slipped the card into his vest pocket. He then made his way downstaires to start on breakfast but for Jou sitting on the couch, asleep with a half empty bowl of chips on his lap. Making his way over to Jounouchi he gently placed his hand on his shoulder and shook him slightly to wake the blond haired boy up. "Hey, Jounouchi, wake up already."

"Ngh..." Jou made a few protesting grunts and groans before cracking open an eye at whoever was shaking him. It took a moment for his half-sleeping mind to register that it was Bakura shaking him, and not some random dream figment. Surprisingly enough, Jou had dreamed the night before, but only after he'd moved to the couch. Sleeping on the bed hadn't done much for him. "Morning Kura'..." he mumbled, running his hand through his hair and moving the bowl over. "... is there a reason why i'm awake, or did you just feel like shaking me?"

Bakura immdeiatly started speaking the second Jou's mouth stopped. "I'm going to start making breakfast now, come into the kitchen in a few minutes. There's also something we need to talk about." Bakura spoke in a rather serious tone and once finished speaking he waisted no time in standing up staright again and finishing his journey to the kitchen.

The blonde simply blinked in a confused manner and watched Bakura leave the room. "Did I... do something?" he asked himself, scratching his head. After a moment or two of waiting, Jou stood up and walked down the hall to the kitchen, stopping in the doorway to watch Bakura. He raised an eyebrow at the spirit, still thinking about what could have possibly angered him overnight.

Bakura didn't even look up at Jou as he came ito the room, he just continued to mix the pancake batter in the bowl in front of him. Keeping his focus on the task in front of him and yet he seemed to be taking a small bit of agression out on the pancake batter.

The blonde watched at Bakura violently mixed the pancake batter, and slowly moved over to one of the chairs by the kitchen table. He turned the back of it towards Bakura and stradled the chair, facing it's back and leaning down on it. He watched as Bakura "murdered" the pancake batter for another minute or so before speaking up. "You want help with that?"

Murmuring a simple no Bakura hovered his hand over the pan to see if it was generating enough heat. Deciding that it was the spirit scooped out some pancake batter into the pan and watched it carefully as it cooked after preparing a plate to place it on so he could give Jounouchi his breakfast.

Jou just stared at Bakura again for minute before laying his head on the arms that were folded over the back of the chair. Since he'd just woken up, he was still tired. "Ok..." he said out loud, waiting for Bakura to be done. He figured that whatever was wrong with Bakura would be figured out soon enough.
