Ann swayed into the Common Room, "Oh dear...this can't be good." She stumbled towards Kitty, "You will never guess what just happened...it seems Ravenclaw is 200 house points ahead of us already for the House Cup. We're in second place as of now." Just saying that made Ann feel dizzy, "I just signed up for another round of classes so that we can have a good chance at getting those lost points back...Charms and Astronomy shouldn't be too bad, right?"
((To those who signed up for classes and are not turning in the work: By not doing work in the classes you signed up for, teachers can deduct points off of us. Its better if you either do the work or quit the class. I beg everyone who signed up for Defense Against the Dark Arts to do the homework. I give away a bundle of points. Put enough work into the homework and I sometimes give extra credit. So there's no excuse for not doing the work. ))

Ann reminded Siobhan she'd wanted to sign up for a class. "Oh! I'll sign up for D.A.D.A. now! I hope I can make up any assignments I've already missed..."

"We're in second place and they're 200 points ahead of us?!" gasped Kitty. "Ravenclaw is the biggest House, right?" She sighed, "Well, I can't play any instruments, and I'm not much of a singer, but I do like music. That's so cool that you can play two instruments, Zack."

Schnerkel's head almost exploded with thoughts as she munched on a few of the candies Ann had brought in earlier.
"For the newspaper," Schnerkel started hoping she would make sense, "Do we all work together to create a Gryffindor article? Or does everyone submit something seperately and the best one is chosen? If the latter is the case, do the ones that aren't picked just get tossed away? Or could they still be used?'
Schnerkel feared that she was asking too many questions, but if she didn't keep going - odds were that she was going to forget some of them. "And for house points, do the scores ever become adjusted? Like at the end of the term is the house point total divided by the number of students in the house? Or is it simply the amount of housepoints that were earned that term?" Either way, the Gryffindor knew she had a lot of work to do to catch up, and keep up with all of her classes. Hopefully she would be able to earn Gryffindor some more housepoints to help her house catch up with Ravenclaw.
With all of that being said, Schnerkel took a deep breath and sat down on a chair before throwing her leftover candy wrappers at Von. She knew her friend had been writing for the past few weeks and that was why she hadn't seen her, but nevertheless it felt incredibly good to see her again.

Ann pushed her head up from the piles of candy, "I think I can answer your question. The Hogwarts Monthly is actually putting on a contest for who can make the best article from each House. So yes, its an individual basis. The mods pick their favorite and it gets chosen to be on the newspaper. As for the articles that are not picked...i still have no clue on what happens to them., but I'm sure they aren't just chucked to the rubbish bin without a second thought."
"The House Points are based solely on earning points from Homework, classwork, dueling clubs, events, good deeds, etc... the possibilities of earning them are endless. The mods finalize the house points count in the end of term by gathering lost points that have not been tallied up. Then Adonis makes the final call on who won the Cup. Slytherin has won the Cup two terms in a row. Gryffindor last won the Cup...last Summer...or was it Spring? I forget. Anywho, I hope I answered your question." Ann buried her head under the candy pile once again.

Kitty nibbled on a Bertie Botts Every Flavor Bean, "So you were writing movie scripts, right Von?" She popped the bean into her mouth, "What about?" Hey Guys. Sorry I haven't been around lately. I finally finished by business proposal for my economics class. And, I got 100% on it! yays!! Hey! Who can't wait for summer?? I can't. And, I see that some of us are already in the formal prom attire. Very snazy. I'll bring by some prom muffins later. ta ta for now!
