As Banriyu was staring up at the sky he caught a glimpse of the sensei's hair. Banriyu turned his head and looked up at the sensei reading his magazine. "Excuse me sensei. But are you planning for me to do anything else while I am here, now that I have been placed into a group?" Banriyu politely asked.

The shinigami looked at his student and didn't respond for awhile. "We'll probably be sparring again after I get everyone into a group but for now I would like you to sit tight where you are and just lay back," Nagi replied flipping the last page of his magazine over.
He had nothing left to read now, and he was bored. He began flicking his yo-yo down then pulling it back up. "I should wrap up these spars soon,"

"Sure thing, sensei." Rajin replied. Of course he could do that. He enjoyed day dreaming very much. So he laid down on his back and continued to stare up into the sky and soon, drifted away into deep thought.

Hikari's pupils contract as she observes him. Rikatsu's set himself into a guarded position, but he doesn't make a single move to attack. "'kick the stuffing' out of me? Hmph! You think I'm weak. Don't you?" Ah. The innocence of youth. She just speaks her mind. Crossing her arms over her chest, she puffs out her cheeks and looks to one side. It might even look like she's closing her eyes. "If you wanna break, you could have just asked Kehi-san." She almost did just lunge forward in an attack. In the back of her mind, a battle rages between allowing the request and ignoring it.

After wandering for a while Kyst came upon a teacher reading a magazine. "Um, sorry Nagi sensei, my apologies for being late," said Kyst as he bowed low to show respect. "Am I in trouble? I'll accept any punishment."

Iba backed away as he was pushed. He held his zampakuto horizontally infront of him as Ugu came at his chest. The block was successful. Iba waited as Ugu came in with another attack, aiming at the chest again. He remained in his position, blocking the chest slashes as they came at him. A slash then came towards his arm. Quickly, Iba flipped his massive cleaver-like zampakuto upside down and blocked the slash just in time.

He pushed Ugu's attack back. This battle was kind of like watching a see-saw work. One person takes the offensive at first, other takes defensive, then the roles change. Iba flipped his zampakuto back right side up and held it with both hands. His injured right hand began itching probably because of the flesh wound. He slashed forward at Ugu's big body which was the size of his own and then using the force of the slash, he leaped up while the blade was still going towards Ugu.
Now in mid-air, he lifted up his zampakuto over his head and slammed the blade down on Ugu's shoulder again. He landed infront of Ugu and slashed at Ugu's chest, a direct attack but nonetheless a powerful one.

Zenmaru saw his opponent go straight for him, and moved to get out of the way. As his feet shifted to the side, though, his opponent's cleaver burst through his obi to make contact with his already scarred flesh. Blood spurting from the freshly created wound and all Ugu could do was prepare for the next attack. With his sword clenched with both of his hands he brought up his blade to parrying the downward slash of his opponent's sword.
He shifted himself backwards as his foe touched the ground. After blocking the stab that Iba had quickly executed, Ugu went on the offencive once more. Going quickly he swung his blade down at his opponent's equally massive body. Again, and again, he went forward, hacking and slashing down at his opponent's body. He kept up the pressure with his strikes, hoping for a lucky strike.

Nagi looked at Kyst, another familiar face, he looked kind of new to the academy like alot of the people that just arrived late but it didn't matter, at least he found someone for another student. "Shiro, you got a partner now, this guy over here-" he waited for a name. "...is your sparring partner," Nagi said as he continued to swing the yo-yo down and then pull it back up.
"Please use hakuda only, leave your zampakuto here with me and tell me who wins," he smiled and then waited for them to dismount their zampakuto. "I should be ending these spars soon but what the heck, one more spar won't hurt anyone, plus maybe these two may show some talent...but I doubt it".

"Thank you Nagi sensei!" Kyst bowed low again. "My name is Kyst, I've been hoping for a good spar." With a grin and narrow eyes Kyst rolled his shoulders and popped his neck. "When do we begin?"

Shiru looked over at his sensei and smiled, walking over.
He bowed to Kyst and smild at him.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Yagawashi Shiru."
Shiru didn't exactly like to fight hand-to-hand, but this was still something to do.
If anything, he was more inclined in Zanjutsu, but only by a small margin.
He walked away from their sensei a few feet and set his hands into a short stance.
"Ready to begin? Would you rather go first or...?"
Shiru was like a shogi or go player.
If their oponent wanted to go first, he'd let them for a strange reason.

Iba kept his concentration and as Ugu's attack continued to fall like rain upon him after each exchange of attacks, Iba blocked them as they came forward but remained in the same spot. This battle was slowly going nowhere at least in the eye's of Iba. He wanted to be more thrilled.

With the last block done, Iba pushed Ugu's zampakuto back with his with only one hand. And pushed forward, coming so close to Ugu that an attack from that range would be fatal. With one hand he quickly stabbed three times into the gutt of Ugu.

Kyst left his zanpakuto with the teacher and grabbed the traing sword. "Formalities? Well my name is Shisunen Kyst. You may go first if you like it's all the same to me." said Kyst as he returned the bow and assumed a fighting position.

"Kira-Kirikizu," the man said again, as he quickly slipped his left hand onto Egeus's blade. It cut his palm lightly and shifted backwards away from the stabbing strikes of his opponent. As he shifted back a fiery burst of green reiatsu poured over his body once more. Again his body was healed, and again his wounds were stitched back into the interweaving thread of his body.
Heading straight back into the fray again, Ugu attack. Jumping high into the air he raised his blade above his head. As he slammed downwards toward his opponent's position he slashed down at Iba Kimigahara. Again, and again, he continued with this attack, never halting for a moment. Onward he pushed at his opponent's equally massive body.

Shiru really didn't mind either way how he fought, just that either way, he couldn't hit anyone.
His fighting skills were way below average, and his didging skills were only average.
Where would his skills really lie?
Each move he made could lead to disaster, so he might as well be cautious.
Shiru ducked low and used his reiastsu to move in mast on his opponent.
Once he was right near his opponent, he came up underneath and threw an uppercut to his jaw.
