Hawkfrost rolled his eyes, but couldn't help but let out a laugh himself. "So, why is that uncle of yours so... Er, weird?"
Nyra gave a confused face. "Really, how come?" she said, stepping carefully over a large rock.

Remus smuled softly and bowed his head to the kit. "A pleasure, Shin. I'm Remus."
"Tempest? Heavens know, Hawkfrost," Impa jested. She sat down at the edge of the lake.
Seti shrugged. "She's my mother. Thinking she's fu nis weird." He changed the subject as they reached the spring. "Here it is! Right where I left it.'

Umiko folled her mate's example and bowed, saying, "I'm Umiko."
Shin bowed back, politely. "Nice to meet both of you," he said.

Hawkfrost didn't stop at the edge, but he waded in a little, his sleek, fish fed fur keeping him warm. "He seems kind of strange, and what are those things on his head?"
"You left it?" Nyra said confused. "How did you move it here?" She gave him a quizzical look with a smile, humor glittering in her eyes.

Echo trotted up, leaving Sachio for awhile. She bowed her head to Umiko and Remus. "I'm Echo."
"Strange is a good word for Uncle," Impa sighed. "And I blieve those are...snow goggles..?" She watched Hawkfrost swim through the icy mess that was the lake.

"Snow goggles..." Hawkfrost echoed. "I wonderwhere he got them." He said, and with a bit of suprise, he spotted a fish. Swiping a paw down, flung it to the shore, pouncing on the flopping thing.

Echo smiled kindly, but said nothing more. She still did not feel like an adult, and it made it awkward to be in conversations with other adults. "C'mon Shin, let's go find Kiko and bother her for awhile."
Impa raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Fish in a frozen lake. How odd."

"Maybe it was washed downstream." Hawkfrost said, killing it and picking the fish up in his teeth. He padded over to Impa. "Want some?" He offered, seting it down.
Nyra trotted up in gait to the steaming pool, looking down in the water.

Shin nodded and followed Echo. "This'll be fun," he said as they were walking away.
"Is Kiko another one of your daughters?" Umiko asked Rae and Kyou.

Rae shook her head at her two troublemaking children, then nodded to Umiko. "Yes. She's the blue and green adult over there," she said, pointing out the future victim of Shin and Echo.
Seti walked over to the water's edge, then jumped in without hesitation. Resurfacing, he called out to Nyra," Come on!"
Echo grinned in agreement. "You first."
Impa shook her head and pointed ot Hawkfrost. "Yo ucaught it. Go ahead and eat what you want; I'll eat if there's anything leftover."

Akiko looked up as Shin and Echo walked over. "Hey!"
"Hey, Kiko," Shin said, jumping on her back.

Remus raised an eyebrow skeptically. "Please, Umiko. Dying of a heart attack doesn't sound fun right now," he joked.
Rae chuckled at Remus' remark. "Don't worry so much. I wasn't ready to become a mother, but you fall into parenthood pretty quickly."
Echo smirked and let Shin do all the work; she would merely sit here and not help Akiko.
