Diana just shrugged once more and then another sneeze came out and she, in a frustrated manner, wiped her nose with the sleeve of her shirt. Who the hell was talking about her!? They better do or she will track them down and give them a promise they won’t forget. Besides...all the sneezing was making her nose itch.

"...gods I hope that's not a flu bug..." HOuka muttered, getting up from the ottoman and transferring to the armchair. She wanted something to lean back against, and that didn't include her hands.

-----------------------------

Miki, with her head still looking at the bowl, raised her eyes in a serious and pleasing expression. Another childhood action that she can’t seem to stop doing. Whenever she wanted Kai to do something that she definitely knew that he might not agree, she will look at him in that way.

It was like saying that she was serious and she was begging him to agree at the same time. Lots of those times she did that particular expression, Kai’s response was “yes”. But now that they were 17…chances are that he will say no…

“it’s…only one day” she argued silently. She wasn’t going to give up that easily…

Kai looked away. "Don't you mean less than a day?" he asked. Hell, this was an uncomfortable situation to be in, your sister asking you to take her friend out so you could get acquainted. "...there's still Hiyomura's training; she's got that defense of hers to work on, and a little on speed..."

The slate-haired teen shook his head. "Oh, fine..." He sighed, pushed his soup away. "All right, I'll... take Murphy out tomorrow...but only for an hour or so. I doubt we'll be talking much, anyway..."

Miki beamed and smiled cheerfully- well…victoriously was more of the right term. “Arigatou Oniichan” she thanked Kai. “But…I only wanted you to get along though…I had a feeling you got on the wrong side and sometimes Diana said some pretty nasty things. Especially about your right of being my brother” Miki took a sip of her soup and continued “I just hope to make you two feel even a little more comfortable around each other without Diana using her ability on you and giving some hurtful words. That’s all I wanted anyway…” And with that, Miki finished her soup and then wiped her mouth clean.

Taking a look at the other dish, she asked “Oniichan, are we going eat the other dish?”. The chicken in red wine was smothered in red sauce. Some small potatoes crowded one side and a hint of herb garnish adorned the top. Miki remembered the last time she tasted red wine when her uncle visited them. Kai and Miki were given a small teacup each filled with around a quart of red wine or a pint. When they both took a sip, Miki held her breath and quickly drank the water that was beside her plate. She didn’t know if her twin was either sweetened or disgusted since he had an expressionless face.

Kai followed Miki's gaze, remembering practically the same thing she was. "Yes, since we've already ordered it - and its already here. We don't have to finish the whole thing, though; whatever we can't consume, we can have wrapped up for us to take back home.

Yes, home. He didn't call the mansion at the outskirts of town - where he lived with their grandfather - 'home', simply because anywhere his guardian lived couldn't possibly be called as such; he was much more comfortable in the apartment, hence the more familiar term.

"And as for this...outing with Murphy, I don't think you should expect much improvement in the 'relationship', Miki..."
PostPosted: Sun Feb 03, 2008 6:56 am

Miki nodded and took a small piece and placed it on her plate. Cutting it into a small strip, she pierced it with her fork and took a bite. Sometimes she didn’t know what to do when tasting dishes she hasn’t tasted before. Chewing softly and taking a sip of her iced tea. It didn’t taste bad though. Miki never really told anyone even Kai (although he probably already knows) but she sometimes feel uneasy when trying out new food.

And about Diana, “Well…i could dream anyway…” Miki just wished that Diana won’t kill her if she told her about it. Sometimes Diana needs somebody in her life.

Kai watched as the blue-haired teen tried out the chicken dish, with more than a little caution. Perhaps he should have suggested a more...familiar restaurant. Or at least ordered a less... exotic (was that right?) dish. "True. No one's stopping you from dreaming..." He, too, took a slice of chicken and began cutting it into bite-size pieces. "Just...don't get your hopes up too much..."

Despite what he was telling Miki, even he couldn't tell where this whole thing with Diana would end up. But Kai thought it best to take his own advice and not give sister cause to expect too much; he didn't want to disappoint her if what she was hoping for didn't come to pass. Surprising her with any developments was much more preferable, no matter how small those developments were.

-----------------------------

Diana snarled and took out a cup ramen out of the bag and ignited a fire on the stove, put a kettle on top and filled it with water. “I hope the rumors of sneezing when someone is talking about you isn’t true...”

Houka grinned. "Wonder if it is, though, that rumor? That would mean two people were talking about you - or at least thinking about you - one after the other..."

Curious as to what her roommate was doing, the auburn-haired teen got up and went over to her. "Cup ramen? You need more than that, Murphy, no matter how good it is... Unless, of course, there's nothing to cook with in here at the moment..." She was going to take a wild guess and say that the latter was the case; aside from the loaf of bread in the basket, the kitchen looked pretty...bare.

Miki frowned and sighed to herself. She continued eating in silence until she was done. Wiping some sauce on her mouth, she took a sip of her drink until none was left. “Oniichan, we better go and register. I don’t know when the deadline is. I want to register as soon as possible.”

Kai set his knife and fork down, then signalled again. After conversing with the responding waiter - who whisked away the 'remnants' of the chicken dish - he turned back to Miki. "That's true, and registering your team is the reason we went out, after all. I'll just pay the bill and we'll be off."

This didn't prove to be much of a problem; in less than five minutes, the waiter who'd served them came back with the now-wrapped chicken, all ready to take home, and set the bill down in front of Kai. The slate-haired teen then dug out his wallet, saying something in French that could only have meant "Keep the change," or some such related statement, then he stood up and went over to Miki's side to help her out of the chair - yes, it was a habit of his now, it seemed.

-----------------------------

Diana looked at Houka with a bored frown and snapped her fingers. Darkness clouded the table and was soon covered with food. Eggs, meat, fish, dairy products like milk and cheese appeared. Even some boxed food like toaster waffles and cereal. As soon as the kettle smoked, Diana turned the stove off.

Pouring the water on the cup, she sat on the table and started eating “So…anything else you want to ask for Kurozuki?”

Houka looked at the brunette incredulously. It was apparent that her meaning had been misread. But no matter; at least now they had supplies.

"You didn't have to do that, you know..." the sea green-eyed blader said, even as she started to put the foodstuff away. "In any case, now that you did... you can look forward to a proper meal tomorrow, as err...thanks for putting me up." Houka had nothing about convenience store food, but relying solely on instant food wasn't exactly healthy. That was the reason she'd taught herself to cook a variety of dishes, and cooking for two shouldn't have to be so hard.

Miki stood up and gave her brother a nod of gratitude. She waited for Kai and then walked towards the exit. Once reaching the exit, she popped again the question “Oniichan, do you know where the registration is?”

Kai stopped, his free hand shoved partway into his pocket, and he turned halfway to keep Miki in his sight; he didn't want her lagging behind, not after the 'Sayka Incident' - what he'd dubbed the kidnapping the night before.

"It should still be at the BBA Headquarters; that's where Ivanov, Hiyomura, and I registered, anyway." he replied. Hopefully, the desk would still be open and that the official in charge of it wasn't on break or some such thing. He didn't want to see Miki becoming anxious having to wait or whatever else should happen.

-----------------------------

Diana, who was slurping some noodles and finally drinking the rest of the soup, crushed and burned the Styrofoam cup. She decided to put away the items to their respective cabinets, drawers and shelves. She placed the real food inside the refrigerator and decided to tie her bothersome hair into a ponytail.

And for Houka’s thanks, she nodded “It’s ok. One way or the other, Miki will probably notice it and tell me to bunk you in. So basically no matter what, you will stay with me.”

"...okay..." Houka said, more to have something to say than anything else, as she leaned against the counter, a peanut butter sandwich in one hand. She cocked an eyebrow at this little 'revelation' - that the younger Hiwatari would notice if she, Houka, had no place to stay and tell her friend to put her up - a small smirk on her face.

"You always do what Miki tells you to?" The auburn-haired teen took a bite of her sandwich, then went on. "And just a suggestion, but I think you should wear your hair in a ponytail more often; it becomes you."

Miki nodded “Alright, if you say so Oniichan”. She went by his side and waited for him to move and walked the rest of the way. She decided to be silent since she knew Kai didn’t like talking that much so she kept her words to herself. She was secretly worried about the upcoming ‘meeting’.

Now that Miki had moved ahead of him, Kai started walking again, making sure he kept pace with her. He wanted to neither lag behind himself nor start walking ahead inadvertently. Call it paranoia, call it being over-protective, he didn't care; he wasn't going to take Miki's being with him for granted and not pay attention to her safety.

Not like he'd actually show he was doing such a thing, of course.

-----------------------------

Diana sighed and looked at Houka then went to what she was doing “I guess you were right about her being my weakness. Miki was my only friend. She helped me whenever I get nightmares about my past. I kill, steal, torture and punish. I even was made the head torturer in the Abbey, designing some traps that needed to be done in order to test the trainees or people.

Some survived, others don’t. I had to watch through a hidden camera to see all their misery and terror. It didn’t really affect me at times, but inside I feel guilty taking their lives. They were abducted and held against their will, forcing them to be soldiers and if they don’t…they get to be in the punishment chambers where my torture devices awaited them. At least you got off lightly, since Boris took extra care of you but you paid him by letting him cut a scar on your arm.
And as for my hair, I do what I please with it. But I agree with you about the ponytail since it can be a bit bothersome when I training or doing some warm-ups in the morning.”

Houka took another bite of her sandwich, chewing thoughtfully. "So I was right about Miki, eh...?" she muttered.

When Diana mentioned that, however, her right hand went instinctively to her left forearm, clutching the spot she knew the scar was, even covered with an armband as it were. "...don't remind me." she said, quite bluntly, leaving the half-eaten sandwich on a plate on the counter. "That was probably when I started wondering what Balkov and the old man wanted from me, really." She brushed some stray bangs out of her eyes, then continued. "Can't believe how naive I was back then, actually, believing they wanted to help and take care of me. Ugh."

The auburn-haired teen decided not to comment anymore on what Diana had said about her hair, as there was probably nothing more to be said, anyway.

Miki continued her walk and looked back at Kai to see how he was doing. Smiling at his presence, she continued walking until she finally saw again the BBA HQ. Trying to look for some registration tables which can be located outside and found nothing, she waited for Kai on the steps.

Seeing that Miki hadn't gone in yet, Kai quickened his pace so she wouldn't have to wait that long. When he got there, the slate-haired teen once more took her by the hand and led her inside. "I guess I forgot to specify where in the BBA the registration was..." he said, a slight hint of sheepishness in his voice - barely there, but noticeable to him just the same. He then proceeded to fill her in on what she needed to do to register her team. "Anyway, you just have to give your name, then your teammates', and finally your team name. We'll tell Murphy and Kurozuki to come by here later or early tomorrow to confirm their spot on the team. Okay?"

-----------------------------

Diana, once finished, heard a knock and opened the door to reveal a guy with brown hair. He didn’t look suspicious, simple jeans and shirt and a jacket.

“Hello there, I am doing a survey. Is it ok if I come in?”.

Diana frowned and muttered a dark “No” and proceeded to close but the guy’s blocked the entrance. She glared “I just said 'no' so take a hike, you a**”

The guy just laughed “Now, now I haven’t finished yet. Give me a chance. You are a pretty girl. Wanna go out with a real man tonight? I got a friend who might want to hang out with your friend there”.

This was the LAST thing Diana wanted to encounter. Guys who think they’re God’s gift to women. She glared darkly; making the guy back off a bit but maintained his cool “I highly doubt she even wanted to see you in her nightmares, much less than to hang with you. Now before I do something you’ll regret, get the hell out of my sight.”

He looked slightly scared but decided to do a pathetic mask of courage. Tsk. “What’s a girl like you gonna do? Give me a makeover?”

That was the last straw, Diana grabbed a shiny metal object and had the guy against the door and held the object near his neck. She leaned to him with her eyes glowing dark red “Listen here, Wise guy….I don’t usually use these kinds of methods but if you wish to keep your life then I suggest you get out before I leave a scar that will stay with you forever…”

With that, the guy left scared and screaming and Diana closed the door and laid down on the couch.

"...nice." Houka commented, smirking still, but this time at the sorry excuse for a man that had just left. "I was about to offer to help get rid of him, but looks like there was no need for that..."

She shuddered inwardly, though. The nerve of some people-! That guy either thought highly of himself to think that he could 'score' a date for that night...or he was just desperate. It was sad - no, pathetic, really, what some people would resort to.

"Seriously, though," she added aloud, following Diana into the living room and leaning on her elbows on the backrest of the couch. "What if some guy would just...ask you out, with no malice whatsoever intended? What would you do then?"

Diana took out the metal spoon and twirled it between her fingers “Dunno…I will read his intentions then and see if he has hidden desires. If he is clean then I will say yes”. She stuck the spoon between her mouth and replied “Simple as that.”

"I see..." Houka pushed herself up a bit; now she was using her hands to lean on the backrest rather than her elbows. "Well, that's easy for you to do, what with your abilities and stuff...not that I'm jealous, mind. If you ask me, there's no excitement if one could read a person's intentions at the outset; half of the challenge in any relationship, for me, would be trying to figure out if the other person's feelings are true or not." The auburn-haired teen shrugged. "Not that I've been in a relationship, anyway..."

She had to wonder, though, at the spoon Diana had placed in her mouth. She noted that the brunette had held something to the man's neck earlier. If it had been, in fact, a spoon, then that would mean that Diana had threatened to...

Sea green eyes widened slightly, but Houka recovered herself. Diana definitely wasn't someone to mess around with. But that didn't mean she'd stop playing around with her sometimes, if she was in the mood to do so...

-----------------------------

Miki stopped into her tracks, a bit of a realization hitting her. She didn’t have a team name yet! Panicking slowly and went to follow Kai, she sighed dejectedly and went inside. Now what? Just get some random name and get on with it? God she didn’t know what to do! But it was easy to put their names but they still haven’t got a team name yet. All of the things…

When they finally reached the table, a lady smiled at them both and knew exactly what do and gave her a small board with a list of names. She quickly wrote each of their names and then stopped at the slot mainly named “Name of Team” and went to thinking mode.

This, of course, didn't go unnoticed by Kai, and he went closer to Miki, leaning over to whisper in her ear. "If it helps, Miki... you could go with a common theme among the three of you to come up with a team name..."
PostPosted: Tue Feb 05, 2008 7:17 am

Diana continued twirling the spoon in her mouth when she noticed that Houka looked perplexed and then went calm. Smirking, she took the spoon out and held it for her to see “Kinda awesome huh? Using only a spoon and a guy head to the hills. I am trained to be an assassin, yeah. But there are times where I can be out of weapons and I have an attacker. We are trained to use practically anything to be used as weapon.

Usually, if someone talks tough it will mean they are overconfident. It’s most likely if you stuck a piece of cold metal against someone’s throat, they will probably think it’s a knife already. Followed by a few death threats and you got yourself a wimp.”

"Ha!" Houka barked, amused by this. "You've got a point there... most talk the talk, but can't walk the walk." She sank back against the armchair - again! - hands crossed behind her head, eyes closed. "I have to say, though, when I saw that spoon...I thought you'd threatened to dig that guy's throat out..." Morbid, but the auburn-haired girl didn't think it uncharacteristic of Diana to do something of the sort, but she wasn't going to say that out loud.

-----------------------------

Miki thought for a moment, trying to intake what her older brother told her and finally wrote down a name. Handing it to the lady, she read and smiled and replied “Congratulations, you now have a spot in the tournament…Team Mertvaya”.

Mertvaya... Kai frowned slightly, what little he knew - or remembered he knew - or Russian springing to the fore. Unless he missed his guess, 'mertvaya' meant...

"Death..." he muttered. "Team Death. A little dark, don't you think, Miki?" Then the slate-haired teen smirked, only lightly ruffling the girl's hair. "But that doesn't mean I don't like the sound of it..."

Miki frowned slightly and took Kai’s hand out of her head “Oniichan, I couldn’t think of anything else. Diana is kinda scary with her dark attacks and Houka’s bit beast looks scary too. Mine practically gives a cold death if I drop the temperature too low. So I guess it popped into my head.”

"Okay, you don't need to give an explanation," Kai replied, turning to go, but not before making sure that Miki was near him.

Walking besides her brother, Miki stopped momentarily to ask “Oniichan…can we go to somewhere before going home?”

Kai, too, stopped, looking at the blue-haired girl, then slowly gave a nod. "All right. It's still pretty early, anyway. Where is it?"

-----------------------------

Diana smirked and looked at her “So you thought I will dig his throat out huh…I can do it actually but I don’t wanna clean up the blood”. Flicking the spoon and landed on the counter with a loud “ping”! Diana yawned and stretched “Now I’m bored…”

Houka nodded, stifling a yawn. "Yeah...now that you mention it... its making me drowsy, as well..." She hadn't noticed a television when she came in, but she couldn't be sure there wasn't one, so the sea green-eyed teen decided not to say anything aside from she already had.

-----------------------------

"...and I'll be back probably in time for dinner." Kei thought, finishing off the short note she planned to leave on the coffee table in the living room. Staying at home was driving her crazy at the moment, so she'd decided to go out, regardless of having no companions - apparently, her friends from school were pretty busy with some other stuff - to work off her restlessness and also - hopefully - to take her mind off tournament-related things.

The brunette didn't have anything set for her solo outing; she thought it would be more fun to just wing it and, for once, go with her whims rather than planning it in advance, as she was wont to do.

Its just too bad Hiromi and the others aren't here... she thought, grinning. I'd have loved to see the looks on their faces when they find I actually didn't plan this outing and stuff... Kei's friends were accustomed to her...meticulous nature regarding outings, so an unplanned one would have been something of a surprise to them.

Still, Kei couldn't help sticking her blade and launcher into her small backpack. Just in case...
PostPosted: Tue Feb 05, 2008 10:39 pm

Miki thought for a moment “Do you know where there is a shop for baking equipment?”. Miki practically been wanting to do something for Diana after all the years she helped her. And besides, now that Houka was there to the team, she might give her something as a token of appreciation. Maybe…if she accepts it.

Kai looked thoughtful, running of the list of shops and other establishments he'd seen scattered throughout the city. Finally, he replied, "If you're looking for specific brands of cooking and baking utensils, there's a small bakeshop - Dolce, it's called - that sells utensils aside from the stuff they bake." He thought again, then added, "But if you don't mind 'ordinary' utensils - the cheaper ones, at least - there's always the department store just past the Jinza."

This was one of those situations where the slate-haired teen's wanderings around the city came in handy; he saw a lot of places and, thanks to the photographic memory he and Miki had been gifted with, he could locate various shops and other such places with ease when he needed to, hardly getting lost as he did so. Both establishments he'd mentioned were quite easy to get to, as the BBA headquarters was practically in the center of downtown Tokyo. The Jinza was roughly two blocks northeast, while Dolce was one block down.

-----------------------------

Diana yawned more and reached for a small remote and lazily started to flip channels. After cruising, she practically gave up and gave it to Houka “This makes me want to kill something!” She practically punched the wall, leaving a small burnt mark and went inside the bedroom to lay down.

Houka winced when Diana punched the wall, but it wasn't the act that made her do that - it was the fact that there was a burn mark on the wall. Did the brunette emit that black fire from her hands when she was angry or irritated, or some other negative emotion? She didn't know.

She fidgeted in her seat, then finally stood up and went to lounge on the couch. The remote control felt smooth and cool in her palm; it was so small and light the auburn-haired teen wouldn't have known it was there if not for the coolness of its surface. She'd managed to see some of the channels Diana flipped past, and one in particular - a documentary about snakes and other reptiles - piqued her interest, so she flipped to that channel and settled down to watch.

As much as she hated to leave Diana bored and all, she didn't want to have to disturb the brunette, not in the mood she apparently was in at the moment. Some other time, she would have done so, regardless of what she felt like doing, but right now... she was still a bit tired, she guessed, from her earlier 'ordeal'.

Miki smiled and said “Arigatou Oniichan, we can take the Dolce since it is faster. The faster we get the items, the faster we can go back to the apartment. But I don’t mind which we go actually."

Kai shrugged, then began walking again. "If you're sure about that..."

Once he reached the corner of the street the BBA headquarters was on, he took a right, rather than the left one would normally take to start getting back to the apartment complex, slowing his pace a bit. He needn't hurry, really, given the distance they had to walk and the time.

-----------------------------

Dling!

The small bell hanging by the door chimed as it swung shut, and Kei emerged from the Dolce bakeshop, a small paper bag clutched in her hand. The brunette turned and waved through the glass at the lady behind the counter. It had been far too long, Kei felt, since she'd been to that particular establishment; she'd missed the shop's special cream donuts, and so she'd bought a small bag as a treat.

The amethyst-eyed teen reached inside the bag, brought one of the donuts out, and bit into it. "Mmm..." she murmured, obviously pleased. The donuts she'd just bought were, apparently, a fresh batch just out of the oven; the one she'd bit into was still warm and moist, and the cream practicallly melted in her mouth.

Man, if only I could learn to make donuts like these-! She thought, taking another bite as she walked down the street. She found it a little strange that not a lot of people were out, given the day and the time, but she shrugged it off. She was glad of a change from the usual hustle and bustle at this time of day, on this particular street. Oh, well... that just means it will take me less time to get home, then, the way things are going...

-----------------------------

Diana laid down on the bed with her arms stretched wide and her legs apart. Good thing she was wearing her pants. But deciding that the aircon was still not turned on in the room, she turned it on for a normal temperature and changed into a part of black shorts. It was more comfortable to say the least. She took out her blade and looked at the bit chip of the shadow ghoul in the center. A normal thing to do when one has a bit beast.

But this was only for a stare and nothing more. Most bit beast holders do it to connect to their bit beast or have a small mental conversation. But Diana only wishes to talk to Akurei face to face rather on a chip. If it was necessary for her to talk to him inside her mind then she will do so. Right now, she just doesn’t know why she was really frustrated. Boredom was taking it up mostly but she can’t shake the feeling that something still bothered her.

Houka yawned again, failing to stifle it. The documentary had just come to an end, and the auburn-haired teen didn't know what else to watch. Or even if she still wanted to watch anything at all.

I don't think I can remember a time when I was more bored than this-! she thought, flipping the television remote onto the coffee table before lying back down on the couch with a 'bored to hell' expression on her face. "Man... what a drag..." she muttered, shutting her eyes so she wouldn't have to see the same gray of the ceiling. The TV was still blaring out some show, but she didn't bother turning her head to see what it was; also, she would have taken out her launcher and started blading, but she didn't think it was nice to rip up the carpeting in one end of the living room.

Nor did she want to go 'out on the town' just yet; for kami's sake, she'd just come from out there.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 06, 2008 7:02 am

Miki hurried to walk side by side by Kai and walked until they saw a shop with a sign “Dolce, Pastries and Cakes” and stopped to look at a familiar dark-haired girl. Smiling, she waved “Kei-san!”

The brunette stopped, having heard someone call her name. She turned, the donut halfway to her mouth, and spotted the twins. Her face lit up, and she quickly made her way over to them. "Miki-san, Kai-san, what are you doing here?" She couldn't believe her luck; earlier she'd been worrying how to contact the slate-haired blader as regarded the training for the tournament, and now she'd run into him.

Not that she wasn't happy to see Miki, too. In fact, she was glad the blue-haired girl was better - she looked better, at least - than earlier, after her battle against that Houka person. And that was always a good thing.

-----------------------------

Diana felt the need to contact Kai again and then focused her energy at him.

MESSAGE:
“Hiwatari…where the heck are you? Is Miki with you? Me and Kurozuki are practically boring our asses off here. Just checking where you are”
END MESSAGE

One slate eyebrow arched up, bemused. It was pure coincidence, wasn't it, that he and Miki had run into the dark-haired female member of the Blitzkrieg Boys, just hours after they'd last seen her. But just then, Diana's message stole into his mind, and he almost smirked, but didn't.

//We're near the downtown area, Murphy; Miki wanted to pick up some stuff.// he replied. //And is it my fault if the two of you are bored?//

Miki gave a friendly smile and explained “Oniichan and I went out to eat and he accompanied me to register for my team. And I need to buy some stuff here. I quite find baking pastries fun even though I don’t have that much of a sweet tooth.” She said the last sentence with a hint of sheepish embarrassment. It was true…she eats sweets but that not much.

Kei smiled back - with such a friendly and open expression such as Miki's, how could she not? - and nodded her head, to show she'd been listening. "I see. You're going to buy baking utensils?"

Diana scowled and replied to the message.

MESSAGE:
I never said you are responsible, Hiwatari. Don’t tempt me to tell Kurozuki of the time when you and Miki were playing with a kite, it got stuck and you climbed the tree to get it only making a bird angry and resulted to you having a pecked head and a sore a**!

Kai didn't bother asking how Diana knew that. It wasn't his most embarrassing moment, it may as well have been. Still, he'd rather no one but he and Miki (and now, Diana) knew of it.

//And how am I tempting you to do that, Murphy? Anyway, if you just wanted to know where Miki and I were, you wouldn't have mentioned your and Kurozuki's boredom...//

Meanwhile, back at the apartment, Houka noticed that it was a bit colder than it had been earlier. Since it could only have meant that Diana had turned the airconditioning on...

"Hey, Murphy, thanks!" she called, bored yet now a little lazy to get up and go to the bedroom and thank the dark-haired girl 'in person'. "It was getting a bit too warm in here..."

That still didn't change the fact that they were bored, though...
