Raven ran into class, he was almost late. The boy dived into the room just as the bellrang and flew straight into Iruka-Sensei. Iruka shook his head and helped his student off the ground. Raven dusted himself off and turned around to the class. Everyone was standing and packing their things for some reason. Iruka-Sensei gathered a few items and walked out of the class. Everyone else followed him. Raven shrugged and caught up with Jobe.
"What's going on?" Raven asked, curiousity setting in.
"Going outside to learn the Kawarimi no Jutsu(Replacement Technique)," Jobe answered, slightly zoning out.
"Oh man! What are the handsigns?!?" Raven said, panicking.
"Relax, man, all we did was pack our things. Iruka-Sensei has not taught us anything yet, you're cool, you're cool."
Raven exhaled in relief as the group stepped outside. Iruka led his class to a tree with a large bamboo stick jammed into the ground about a meter away from the trunk.
"All right class, for the Kawarimi no Jutsu (Subsitution Technique), we will learn how to exchange place with something in the enviroment, or even a person, depending on your personal level of skill. Now these are the handsigns," Iruka performed them and a puff of smoke and Iruka was gone. Raven stood in Iruka's spot, having no idea what just happened. Iruka smiled at his shocked students as he sat there where Raven stood in the crowd. "That is the Art of Subsitution!"

Raven ran through the handsigns with accuracy. He smiled at his success, he was getting through most of his jutsus with ease now. But, now was NOT the time to get over confident, no, now was the time to kick it up! The boy continued to practice the handsigns with increasing speed. He was getting better at it. Iruka-Sensei smiled as his students continued to memorize and practice the handseals. The Instructor gave them a little more time to study before he continued his lecture.
"All right, class, now, the Kawarimi no Jutsu (Replacement Technique) is normally used in the heat of battle, as it can easily confuse an opponent, especially when said opponent is focused on something else. Many ninja can use the jutsu to exchange places with a large rock, having his opponent actually kick or punch the rock, resulting in the opponent damaging himself. The level of chakra required depends on your own personal experience, training, and the item or person you want to exchange places with." The students nodded and continued to practice the combination of handsigns. Iruka sighed and ran his hand through his black hair. He would give them a few more minutes.

Hawthorne frowned and continued to practice. Now that he had memorized the handsigns to almost second nature, he needed to build up the chakra. This was the hard part, trying to find out how much chakra you needed to switch places with the object. He considered trying to switch, but decided not too. Iruka-Sensei had not permitted the use of the jutsu yet, just the handsigns. Raven thought for a moment and shrugged. Iruka-Sensei was right. One needed to learn the correct handsigns before you could perform the ninjutsu or..well it just would not work. Hawthorne took this to heart and continued to practice the combination.
"All right class," Iruka-Sensei said out lout, breaking the still silence. "First one up is Raven!"

Raven stared at Iruka-Sensei in shock. The other students eyed Raven and shook their heads. Great, first one to the slaughter! The students parted ways much like how the Red Sea parted and motioned for Raven to pass through. Gripping the warm hilt of his Crimson Fire Lotus, Raven relculantly stepped forward once, twice, three times. Soon he was walking through the crowd and appeared in front of the class, facing Iruka-Sensei. Raven sighed and stretched his arms.
"Iruka-Sensei, I'm not sure I can do this," Raven said, uncertainty clear in his young voice. The Instructor shook his head and motioned for Raven to step foreward. "You can do this, just make the handseal and look for something you want to exchange places with."
Raven did as his sensei told him and made the seal. He looked around and saw a bag on the ground.
"Kawarimi no Jutsu (Replacement Technique)!" He yelled and channeled his chakra into his palms. Then a puff of smoke and gasps of surprise as Raven was replaced by the bag. They looked around for him and saw him, lying on the grass, laughing like an idiot. "Yes!!!"

Raven walked along with Jobe to class. It was strange, almost the end of the year. Graduation was coming. He looked at the class once and closed his eyes. It was once full of other eager students, now it was reduced to only ten. Amazing how many people were cut from the Academy. Raven shook his head. His parents could only afford this once. If he failed now, he would never become a ninja. That would not happen, he would graduate and become a Genin! The boy sat down on his desk, angling his body slightly to accomedate his sword.
Iruka-Sensei walked into the class with a clipboard and a piece of paper. He over looked the class once and then began to write down on the paper. He was probably making sure those that left the Academy were officially crossed off the Genin Candidate List.
"All right class, we are going outside again," Iruka-Sensei stated, still writing, "grab your stuff and lets get going."
The class stood up and grabbed their bags. The ten remaining students looked at each other with doubt and followed Iruka out of the Academy.

The group walked outside and left the Academy far behind. The group hiked up a low mountain trail and eventually, they began to question each other. What was Iruka-Sensei thinking? Jobe sighed and continued walking at a slow rate, behind the rest of the class. Raven slowed his own pace to match with Jobe's and he looked at him concerned. "Jobe, what's up?" The other boy shook his head and there was silence. Jobe didn't even look up to his friend. This drove Raven to ask him a bust of questions. All of which, Jobe just ignored.
"Dude, seriously, what's wrong?" Raven said, prodding one last time. Jobe took a deep breath.
"Tree climbing..." He replied, whispering.
"Is that all?" Raven said, on the verge of laughing.
"Without using your hands..."
Raven stopped dead in his tracks... how the hell was he suppose to do that?

Shizume is a new student to the academy and new to the leaf village. Shizume didn't know aht to do at the village ever sent left her home village from the hidden sound and had to move to the hidden leaf to live with her grandparents which are from the Hyuuga clan that her oldest brother told her about. When Shizume walked into the academy she had know idea where her class is and she walked around for what seemed like hours. When Shizume was still walking she saw a teacher yelling at a boy. Shizume didn't like too be yelled at her someone yelling it scared her quite a bit. When the teacher saw Shizume standing there trembling she lowered her voice and told the boy to go back to class. When the boy walked away she went over too Shizume still trembling and was starting to walk backwards hopping not to get yelled at.
"Sorry if I scared you by yellling." the lady said "Are you knew to the school? Whats your name maby I can help you." lady said smiling.
"M...My...My name is Shizume Hikamoto and I'm new to the school." Shizume said in a quivering quite voice.
The teacher was quite for a minute then rembered something.
Shizume you don't have too look for your teacher anymore. I'm Tsunamde, your teacher." she said smilling.
Shizume was glad to have found her sensei. "Tsunamde sensei, something is going on in there." Shizume said pointing at the door.
"Lets go see what going on alright." Tsunamde said.
"Someone is writting something on blackboard. It says Goodbye Sensei" Shizume said.
"If it's Inari he is in big trouble." Tsunamde said. The sensei went into the classroom and just like Shizume said something was written on the blackboard and said the samething Shizume said. She caught Inari just before he was going to jump out the window. "Inari sit down I have
annoucement to make. Class we have a new student today" She told Shizume to come into the room. "Everyone this is Shizume Hikamoto from the Hyuuga clan." She said "Shizume how you can sit over there." She pointed to an empy desk neer a window.
"Everyone to day we will learn Bushin no jutsu. Does anyone know it is?" Sensei asked
Shizume raised her hand and sensei called her "Bushin no jutsu is a jutsu that will make clones of yourself."

"Shizume would you like to go first at tring to do the jutsu?" Sensei asked
"Hai." Shizume said getting out of her desk and and walking to the front of the classroom. Back in her family Shizume was the best at controlling and molding her chakra.
"Shizume pay attention to the hand seals and conrtoll the amount of chakra you need." Sensei said slowly doing the hand seals and started speeding up. Tsunamde sensei shouted "Bushin no jutsu." and stood next to her where three copies of herself. "You try know Shizume."
Shizume stood like her teacher did and performed the hand seals right. Shizume shouted "Bushin no jutsu." There where to too clouds of smoke, there stood to copies of myelf ecept they wheren't as nice.
"Not bad for a first time." Sensei daid

The sunrise was visable from Kinu's seat mid-way up the raked classroom. She sat in the ailse seat on the right side of the room near the windows so she could see outside the window but not feel cloustrophobic. She was new to the Academy and wanted to get a good head start. Thus she woke up extra early to get a good seat and have enough time to actual wake up; she wasn't a morning person.
Kinu was from originally from the Kitsuna Village but transfered to the Leaf Village to begin her Genin training. Being from the Kitsuna Clan, she didn't have much usable chakra. Most of it was used to hide certain clan inherited features. But she was determined to train hard enough to have enough chakra to both fight decently and keep people from staring.
"Oh! Well, good morning!" A young man stood in the doorway looking up at her rather surprised. "'Morning." Kinu stood and bowed, a few loose strands of silver-aqua hair falling limply in her face. "I didn't think anyone would be here this early." He shut the door and crossed the room towards her. He appeared to be around 24 or 25, tall, slender framed but fit, well-mannered with a head of shaggy silver hair that just brushed the tips of his ears. There was a light scar across his right cheek.
"I wanted to get a head start." She stood up straight, her hands clasped in front of her. "Well, then," He ascended the stairs and extended his hand. "I'm Arika Himaki, your sensei." A kind smile lit up his face. Kinu shook his hand. "Pleased to meet you, Himaki-sensei. I'm Kitsuna Kinu, from the Kitsuna Village." "Ah, Kitsuna? Alright, then. Let's see what you've got." Himaki descended to the front of the classroom, motioning to Kinu to follow. Kinu questioned him with a raised eyebrow but did as requested.
"Let's start with the Henge no Jutsu technique. It should get you used to simply using your chakra."

"Shizume try to go a little faster with the seals and remeber focus your chakra." Sensewi said
"Hai" Shizume replied Shizume performed the seals a little faster and cencetrated her chakra more while performing the seals. "Bushin no jutsu." Shizume shouted. Clouds of smoke came and there where to coppies of Shizume they where better but still a little off.
"That's alot better Shizume but still not perfect." Sensei said.
"I know." Shizume replied

"One more time Shizume and the clones should be perfect. Do you want to try once more?" Sensei asked.
"Hai." Shizume said. This time Shizume performed the seal even faster and concetrated her chakra the whole time. "Bushin no jutsu." Shizume shouted too cloud of smoke appeared and there stood two perfect coppies of Shizume.
"Well done Shizume. You masted the Henge no jutsu technique." Sensei said.

Shizume was running to the academy if she didn't hurry she would be late for class. I was just in time and Tsunamde-sensei wasn't in the room either. Shizume took her seat when Tsunamde-sensei walked in, "Class we will learn the Henge no jutsu today." Sensei said. "Would anyone like to try first?" Sensei said.
Shizume was the first to rais her hand. "This will be easy for me." Shizume thought.
"Shizume would you like to go first?" Sensei asked.
"Hai." Shizume said getting out of her desk.
"These are the seals, focus your chakra and thnk of what you want to trankform into." Sensei said demotraiting how it goes. "Henge." Sensei shouted transforming into the Hokage. "You try know Shizume." Sensei said.
"Hai." Shizume said Shizume thought for minute to transform into then she got it. Shizume performed the hand seals a little slow to get use to it, she concetraded her chakra and focussing on the tranksformation. "Henge." She shouted and transformed into a lame figure of her older brother Itoko.
"Not bad a little off but good Shizume." Sensei said.

"one more time Shizume?" Sensei asked
"Hai." Shizume said. Shizume focussed her chakra the the person she wanted to transform into "Henge" Shizume shouted transforming into a better version of her brother but not quite right.
"A little betterbut still not quite." Sensei said. Shizume was getting a little confussed about this because she doesn't know her brother unless she does and she doesn't know, but she doesn't mind.

"Once more Shizume alright." Sensei said.
"Hai." Shizume said Performing the seals faster, concetrating harder, on her chakra and on the object. "Henge!" Shizume shouted transforming perfectly into her brother.
"Well done, Well done Shizume." Sesnei said.

Taik walked slowly. Luckily, The Hidden Mist Village was relatively Why his father was so determined to train him in the outskirts of town was beyond him. Taiki continued walking for what seemed like an hour.
"Stop!" Someone called, "Your about to walk into a tree." Taiki smiled.
"You're gonna teach me tree climbing, Dad?" He asked.
"yeah. now, pay attention. And call me Fukui-sensei, Okay? It's simple expecially for someone with your skill. Just focus your chakra into your feet and run up the tree." Taiki focused his Chakra and started walking. He walked up about three feet and then fell.
