Keegan had just dozed off, his thoughts revolving around the pretty red-head he'd waved to only a few moments ago, when his PokeNav rang, startling him out his dreamy state. "Why now...?" he grumbled, reaching over and pulling the annoying, ringing machine from his bag. He refrained from snapping 'WHAT?' as he answered, instead giving a calm "Hello?"

"Hey there," Jaeshan said cheerfully. "Hope I didn't wake you. You might not remember me, but we met in Vermilion a while ago. Jaeshan? The other guy from Hoenn?" Jaeshan scratched his head, hoping Keegan would remember him. "I kind of wanted to ask for a favour, that is, if it's not too much trouble."

*Venerax woke the next morning, still mulling over the thoughts and strategies for the gym. He walked to the kitchen for some breakfast as he mulled somemore, though most would just see a brooding boy.

((Args. I'm not too sure what I was doing. I think I was in a battle with some trainer... >.> I'll just make up the rest of the fight I guess. Something about Sunfire and a Pidgeotto maybe?))
Sunfire quickly jumped to the side as yet another Gust came flying by. The pidgeotto continued to stay just out of reach of physical moves in the air but it was showing sings of tiredness. Plus all the embers it had taken were not being kind.
"Hurry Pidgeotto use Gust!" the trainer desperatly shouted. "Okay. Try riding up the Gust to get in close for a Quick Attack!" Mag commanded hoping the move would end the battle. Sunfire did as told and rushed at the attack. When it came by he jumped up into the air current in the direction in spun. He was sent higher and higher untill the attack dissapated when it would normally slam the foe into the ground.
But this time Sunfire shot out of the energy before it could throw him. He dashed through the air and into the bird. It crashed to the ground with him pinning it. "Ohno!!" The kid shouted as he returned the bird. "Aw man. I guess I lost... Thanks for the battle I guess." he said as he slipped off tward Pewter.

Mag also began the trek to Pewter City. He arrived at the relatively small town. Many people were about doing normal errands. Mag could see the gym off in the distance. "There we are!" Mag said with a smile.
He tore his gaze from the building and went to the Pokemon Center. "Hi Nurse Joy." Mag said as he set his four pokeballs onto the counter. "Could you please take care of them?" He asked as she nodded and took them up. Mag went over to the couch to rest.

Crenu sighed as he lay against a tree, not far from his home town. He was sure about leaving, and yet for some reason he could not fully bring himself to part just yet. "..." Larvitar sat on his stomach and looked at him with a lost expression, and Crenu grinned. "Lets go buddy."

"At this rate, we'll never reach Mohagany town, oh well. Alright buddy, lets get some training in before we get moving." Larvitar nodded and stood tough, which made Crenu laugh a little. "Alright, use bite attack!" Crenu picked up a random stick and threw it up into the air. Larvitar leapt up with all it's might and cought the stick, snapping it in two.

"Lets try it one more time, but it's gonna be a lot harder now." Crenu looked around, then grinned as he found a larger, thicker stick. This was like a tree branch in width, but short enough to be picked up. He lifted it slowly and tossed it in the air, and Larvitar jumped up to bite it. However, Lartitar couldn't fit his mouth around it and landed with it still in his mouth. "Come on Larvitar, you can bite through it!" Larvitar starighed as it tried to bite through the branch, but only managed to leave teeth marks in it. Spitting it out, he hung his head in shame. "It's alright buddy, we'll just keep trying. Go, bite attack!" Crenu continued to throw the branch up, and Larvitar continued to try bitting through it.

"Come on Larvitar, I know you can do it! try getting a running start and break that branch!" Crenu tossed up the branch once more, and Larvitar jumped back a few feet. As the branch fell, Larvitar blasted forward as fast as he could and leapt up, catching the branch and carrying it with him as he traveled through the air. Biting down as had as he could, Larvitar frowned and slowly started to go deeper into the branch as it cracked. After what seemed like an eternity to Larvitar, he landed hard, the force of the landing as well as his own combined snapped the branch in two, splinters of wood flying everywhere. "Great job Larvitar, but that's only a little bit of progress. Instead of force, let's concentrate on speed. Now, Bite attack!" Crenu had gathered many small sticks that would snap easily, then tossed them all up at once. Larvitar jumbed up and snapped through one, but barley snapped another before they all hit the ground.

Mihoshi did a nose dive towards the Lapras, and crashed straight into its snout. The Lapras flinches and writhed its head back and forth, and Sakura seized this opportunity to jump onto the Pokemon's back, while Mihoshi flew around, attempting to gain the Lapras' attention.
Krystal, you did a great job, Sakura thought. Now, Mihoshi and I are going to do our best to help! Sakura gazed at the Lapras' neck, grinning, and she unleashed a Giga Drain attack; she followed it up by shooting streams of leaves at the Lapras in a Petal Dance attack. Greatly weakened, the Lapras flailed around violently, trying to get its attacker off. Sakura, unable to hold on for a very long time, was thrown off, and was being launched toward a wall.
"Sakura!" Mihoshi called, "don't worry! I gotcha!" The Togetic flew at a breakneck speed and was able to catch her partner. "It's weakened, right?" she asked. "I mean, Nina should be able to catch it now?" Sakura nodded, and replied with, "Yeah. The rest is up to her, now." Looking in Nina's direction, Sakura cast her an affirmative glance, and Nina nodded.
She reached for a Great Ball, and pressed its button, causing it to expand. Making sure she took careful aim, she flung the ball at the Lapras; it hit the Pokemon's chest area, and it was sucked into the ball in a split second. The ball fell into the water, but floated on the surface, shaking violently...

The Great Ball bobbed up and down in the water like a buoy, and it continued to shake.
It shook...
And shook...
And shook...
For at least a few minutes. Nina stared at the ball, in both wonder and bewilderment. It was incredibly obvious that the Lapras didn't desire to be caught, but Nina wondered how a Pokemon in such a weakened state was able to put up a stuggle for so long.
Shake... shake... shake... shake... shake...
...Ding...
Nina's ears seemed to perk up and her eyes grew wide with excitement as the Great Ball lay stationary in the water. A moment later, however, it vanished, and Nina cursed under her breath. "I forgot; I've already got six Pokemon with me... Hm." She glanced to Mihoshi, who flew to her trainer, Sakura still on her back. Reaching up, Nina grabbed Sakura and held her in her left arm, and grabbed onto Mihoshi's leg with her free hand. "If you don't mind bringing us back to Azalea?" she asked, with a bit of a smile. Mihoshi smiled back, and flew Nina over the water, going back through the rooms that she had gone through already. About five minutes later, they had exited the cave and were on their way back to Azalea.

Mihoshi descended upon the small town, and Nina recalled both of her Pokemon into their Pokeballs. Walking inside and getting out of the rain, Nina handed her Pokemon to Nurse Joy, and waited a few minutes for her to return. The psychic accepted her Pokemon back, and walked to the PC in the corner. She input her information, and tapped a few buttons on the computer screen. She was able to transfer Cupcake to her computer at home, and then brought up Lapras' information.
"Withdraw," Nina said, as she pushed a button on the screen. A moment later, its Pokeball was released from the computer, and Nina picked it up. Walking outside, clutching the Great Ball to her chest, she released Lapras. It looked around a little bit, and the rain seemed to help ease some of the tension that was present. Nina backed away from the Pokemon so that she could look up to it, and it could look down to her.
"Hi," Nina said, in a little bit of a sheepish voice. "My name's Nina... you remember me from the cave, right?"
"Of course I remember you," Lapras replied, in a soothing tone of voice. She noticed the shock on Nina's face, and blinked. "I'm sorry," she continued. "I didn't mean to startle you. See, while all Lapras are able to understand human speech... very, very few of them are able to speak Human. A major contributor to that is that there really aren't a whole lot of us left."
"Yes..." Nina replied. "I'm aware of that. I've heard of the hunting that goes on of your kind. But, I can promise you that I'll never do anything bad to you-- on the contrary, I'd love to be your friend."
Lapras looked aside for a minute. However, her gaze shifted and she turned to look at Nina again. "That... would be nice. It's been a very long time since I've had a friend."
Nina smiled a little, and slowly approached her Pokemon, who lowered its head to her trainer, almost in a bow. Nina scratched Lapras' head, and her smile got a little bit bigger. "You know, you need a nickname," Nina declared after a moment. She surveyed her Pokemon for a short time, and grinned.
"I've got the perfect name picked out. I'll call you Aphrodite."

Nurse Joy walked back behind the counter with a tray that had all of Mag's pokeballs on it. He walked up to get them. "Thanks." Mag said as the put the balls back into this bag. Mag stood for a moment thinking about his upcoming gym battle.
"If you are looking for something to do you could always visit the museum." Nurse Joy said with a smile. "Really?" Mag asked not really interested by the thought of a museum. "It is having a special where you can get in for free this week." Nurse Joy stated as she picked up a flyer that announced the event. "They have lots of fossils and such."
"Thanks for the tip." Mag replied as he looked at the flyer. Maybe they have some information about rock pokemon there.

((Thought I'd continue the stuff with Brock just so we know what is up.))
Brock quickly added ingredients to the large mixing bowl on the table in front of him. He threw in some spices to the doughy concoction. Then he began to stir vigorously. After a few minutes he slammed the thickened mass onto cookie sheets.
There he chopped it up into small shapes and popped all the trays into the oven. "Now all I can do is wait." Brock said with a smile. As he turned the smile became a frown. "Ahhh! Look at this mess I have to clean." He said as the viewed the room. All the ingredients were scattered everywhere.
