(okay, how bout this for an excuse; it was hurriedly made, is undersaffed, and cant be properly put through its paces yet beyond what im asking, this is just to test its space-worthyness as a prototype)

"So you'd be willing to claim the Empire is not interested in my technology? They ORDERED me to do this. If you wan to talk about who cares and who doesn't, you should think really hard before you answer, commander. Otherwise, if you're going to remain stubborn, you can go ahead and leave. I'm sure Thrawn's technology will be here when you come back."

He smiled as he said the last part. He had yet to get knew of Fel' 'death', and as far as he knew, he was still under his original orders: to maintain Imperial presence on Wayland, and research recovered technology from the abandoned Mt. Tantiss Project.

Link made his way through the thick forest growth, passing with ease through the brush.
He was going on dead reckoning since he had only briefly glimpsed some kind of settlement from the window of the pod before it crashed.
But he was certain he was going the right way. The Force was his guide, and it had yet to let him down.
He wondered about what he would find, what dangers his ancestor might have left behind for robbers to find, and what clues he would find regarding his ancestor's treasures.
Though his mind puzzeled these thoughts, they did not distract him from his current situation. He was alone on a vibrant alien world. Its dangers were totally unknown, and as such he must remain alert.
For several hours he hiked, quiet, attentive to the ebb and flow of life in the forest. At last he spied a clearing ahead of him, a clearing that possesed several overgrown buildings that he could view from his vantage point.
As he neared the clearing he caught sight of... a ship. A modern ship.
And a camp. And what looked like a band of explorers. And among them was a very familiar looking Museum Guide he met last week.
"Da'shiong bao'jah'shr duh la doo'tze." Link cursed as he plunged through the foliage towards the group.

Vaan shrugged over the holocam. "I don't know you, nor what you want from me. Goodbye, Eladan Kenet. That is what you call yourself, isn't it?" Vaan asked as he dropped his finger, triggering the microjump out of system. There the ship would calculate a jump back to Csilla.

When Vaan left, much to Elshaek's disapproval, the Chiss disengaged the channel. "I had hoped he'd listen to me. He failed to see the clue I left. Only his anger and arrogance guided him." He looked back to Sven.

"In any case, the ship was hardly ready to be tested anyway, am I correct?"

The lieutenant nodded. "Yes sir. Only the basic systems are functional, and we're operating at minimal crew, and have no supplies nor ships. It would take an additional two weeks to finish everything."

The Chiss nodded. "He'll be back by then. See to it that this ship is ready. I have a feeling we'll be needing it soon."

(( G'd idea. ))

Freya awoke the next morning.
"Good morning, Lady Starsinger," Kalnar greeted her. "Today, we shall meet with the senate,"
"Allright." Freya said, "But, first, I totally call dibs on the 'fresher!"

Ellis watched as the Explorer's Guild unpacked their equipment and set up Camp, the exhilaration of being part of an actual Archaeological dig still swimming in her head.

She looked out at the overgrown base and marvled at how well the place kept over the decades. Some of the buildings were early Imperial Prefab, stolen obviously by the rebels who used to dwell here before darksun took it over. The other buildings such as maintenance garages and warehouses for plunder were made out of the freighters of their victims that they raided. A wall made of freighter plating surrounded the perimeter of the pirate hold with scavenged laser cannons mounted at the corners, more a precaution than an actual defense. The generator that powered the base seemed to be ripped from an old battleship and still seemed functional.
It looked rather ramshackle, yet possessed a certain roguish charm.

"Excuse me."

Ellis awoke from her thoughts with a start. "Oh, right. Sorry, I was daydreaming I suppose." She said as she turned to look at the speaker.

She turned pale upon seeing Link glower at her.
"Where the hell did you come from?!" She exclaimed.

"From my mother." Link said arching an eyebrow. "Now tell me, how is it that you arrived here before me?"

"Not going to ask how I got the coordinates?"

"With all the information you gave when we met, it was quite apparent you have a gift for memorization." Link stated. "Now talk."

Ellis' gaze shifted from Link briefly.

Not that Link needed the hint to know that the Explorers had blasters drawn on him.

"Hands up!" One of them shouted, which drew a confident smile from Ellis.
"Looks like you're not in the position to give orders to anyone." She said.
Link placed his hands on his sword and tallied the armed men behind him mentally.
Only four? Four can be defeated.

"Drop it buddy." One of the men said. "We dont take kindly to tresspassers to an Archaeological dig."

With a burst of speed Link spun and drew his sword, slashing through the blaster rifle aimed at his back. He then lept into the air, landing upon the Explorer's ship before anyone could tighten their trigger fingers. He kicked off the ship and, with a shout flew at another rifle armed explorer. he slapped the man across the face with the flat of his blade and sent him flying, then turned and hacked through another man's carbine. Quickly he reversed the blade and smashed the pommel into the man's gut, doubling the man over. He half turned and placed the edge of the blade against the neck of the last armed man.
All this took place in the span of three blinks.

"This is my ancestor's land." Link said calmly to the stunned man who now had the jedi's blade to his neck. "By law of inheritance, it is mine. You and your expedition, therefore, are tresspassers on my land, and I feel i have every right to defend it from the likes of you."

A couple hours later, Freya and the others arrived at the Mon Cal senatorial building, with Kalnar in the lead. The group traveled down a hall of marble, said marble being a beautiful blend of light and dark blues, akin to the sea the Calamari loved.

"Order, order!" chimed in the Calamari Head of State. "We shall now hear out the petition to reform the Galactic Alliance, and align with the Community,"
Casting a sympathetic look to Freya, the Chief addressed her first. "Lady Starsinger. It is my understanding that you wish to continue your father's work?"
"Like, of course!" Freya replied. "The Empire seeks to totally have control of the galaxy, with no thought towards the little guy!"
The Chief sagely nodded, considering Freya's words. "But, of course," He then looked to other senators in attendance. "However, be mindful that the corruption of the Empire is not from Fel himself, but with the Moffs."

Something that many would find odd in a Chiss Commander was that he loved to listen to rock music. As the Stormhawk made a jump to hyperspace, while most of the crew was watching the last day's CNN reports, Vaan was sitting in his quarters listening to a band called (-22).

Quit crying your eyes out, quit crying your eyes out, baby come on, there's something familiar about me, the past is only the future with the lights on.

As the song finished, Vaan switched it off and settled back down.

Eledan Kennet was definitely a strangee character. And what he was doing on Wayland was of concern to both the new Emperor and the Chiss government.

With a flash of pseudo-motion two Kar Asp starfighters dropped out of hyperspace at the just beyond the Ord Mantell no-jump zone. Their ships were unchallenged as they headed for the planet, weaving between occasional freighters and larger craft. Within an hour they were in orbit.

Revak Valar studied his sensors as he read the computer’s entry on the world, “Alright Calra, we’ll need to replace the equipment we lost. So our first stop is the junkyard, then we’ll head to one of the spaceports and try to find a means of employing our skills.”

“Roger that, I’ll follow you down,” She answered smartly.

Within moments the two fighters had found a tiny space which would fit their craft in the middle of a debris field which stretched for kilometers in all directions. With a hiss the landing gear dropped and the nose of the fighter canted forward bringing it to settle against the hull plate beneath it.

When the cockpit rose and admitted the local atmosphere in Revak’s nostrils flared, and he immediately sneezed from the powerful onslaught of fumes. He hastily pulled out his helmet and slipped it back on and sealed it against the local air, behind him Calra sat in her open cockpit leaning back lazily in the cockpit apparently unaffected by the fumes.

Warriors! His mind roared, but he cut off the thought just as quickly… That wasn’t kind to Calra, it was her loyalty that had kept him alive through the coupe. With that he shoved both thoughts aside and set to work.

Almost any piece of scrap was enough for him; it wasn’t the parts he wanted but the component elements in them. He grabbed a rusty old Blastech A280 whose trigger had rusted out. Through the force he shattered the molecular bonds that had held it together and separated the elements from each other giving him a pile each of carbon, silicon, iron, and a dozen other minor elements.

It was the work of another hour finding enough of the rarer metals in the scrap required for the items he had planned. With that done he sat beside the materials he gathered and closed his eyes thinking… Then he began to work, with the force he drew out four round clumps of carbon and began to structure them, imprinting a crystal lattice in their form and forcing the atoms closer together, like a ring of diamonds. Within ten minutes four gleaming focusing crystals sat ready.

Over the next eight hours an arsenal began to appear at his feet, first was a Kar Vak Lightsword, it was quickly joined by a pair of light-disks and a Kar Vada Plasma Pistol. Most of these items disappeared into Calra’s pockets and holsters, but the last two items took more time, a Plasma bomb to replace one which had been stolen as well as a Cluster Missile double mount that was compatible with the Kar Asp’s central hard-point. Finding the materials for these, especially the hydrogen and explosives had been a challenge, but as the sun was setting they were ready and were quickly mounted on the starfighters before they blasted off into the night.

A Campfire blazed in the dark night, casting Skull base in twisting shadows.
In the darkness a symphony of nocturnal insects and birds played, interrupted occaionally by the distant mournful cry of a native pack hunter.

The Corellian Expedition sat assembled on one side of the fire, eating MREs and eyeing the fellow calmly roasting a pair of skinned forest rodents on the opposite side of the blaze.

"How can you eat that?!" one of the explorers asked Link.

Link looked up from cleaning the skins and gestured to the rodents with his knife. "Simple. just strip the meat off with a knife and eat it. This one prefers his done a bit more however." He finished scrapping the hides clean and looked to the expedition with an apprasing look. "One questions how you can ingest that collection of protein paste that you hold before you. Full of preservatives and the like with just a hint of andris to make you believe theres flavor to it." Link shrugged and stretched the skins out.
"To each their own one supposses."

The Expedition looked to their rations with a bit of disgust.

"Thanks." Ellis muttered to Link. "Now you destroyed my appetite."

"Woodland creature?" Link offered.

"Droyk no!"

"Suit yourself." Link said as he took one of the roasts and sliced a piece off, taking a disturbingly crunch bite.

"Ok, Ok." Ellis said, trying to hold her queasyness at the thought of Link and his dining habits. "So we understand why you thought you should get here first so that Hutt's minions wouldnt find out about this place, and since we've established you're a jedi, we believe you. But why not tell me you were a jedi to begin with?"

Link sliced another piece of meat off his kill and munched on it.
"This one thought it was obvious. Besides, you never asked."

One of the explorers arched an eyebrow. "Does it also have to do with the fact theres a large bounty on Jedi at this time?"

"Perhaps. But once this one finds the information he seeks, you may resume your dig here. This one has no problem with aquiring knowledge."

"Fine." Ellis said. "Tomorrow we start poking around here for clues. Agreed?"

"Very well." Link said as he munched on another rodent.
-------------
Unbeknownst to the jedi and the explorers, they were not alone.
In the surrounding forest red piercing eyes watched the group with malevolent intent.

Meanwhile in the skies above a Huttese freighter dropped out on the edge of the system and slowly began scanning the orbing worlds...

The Corridors of the ship were streaked with blaster charr marks and the stink of burning tibanna.
He stood there, watching the monster feed upon the crewman, his horror and disgust only matched by his anger.
His lightsaber thrummed to life and with a roar he charged as the monster turned and raised a black metallic hand...

Something was wrong.
The birds and insects were quiet.
The force was trying to warn him of danger.

He lept down from the tree he had fallen asleep in and landed in silence.
He drew his sword, eyes searching for what had silenced the life in the forest.
He heard it, a shuffling through the brush, a staggered gait far off.

Then he spun about in a flash, sword extended.
He held his pose for three heartbeats.
There was a flash of sparks and electricity and with a groan an armed P1 collapsed to the ground.

"Of course. Naturally there would be more here." He muttered.

The Explorers.
He flicked a glance to the ship and saw shuffling zombie-like figures congregating near the hatch, vibroblades glistening in the light of the sister moons.

"Long night ahead." he muttered as he adjuisted his grip on his vibrosword.

"Not fer you dirt lubber!" A P1 howled as it sprang at Link from his left.

Link's sword flashed and there was a shriek of slicing metal as his blade hacked the droid down.
"You seem to be mistaken." Link said calmly.

"Oy! He slotted Rubben!" One of the P1's near the ship said as it pointed at Link. The majority turned and faced him, blasters armed.

Link's expression didn't change. He faced the droids and assumed a stance, holding the sword in his right hand, tip pointed down, his left hand gripping the sheath at his belt.

Emotion, yet peace.
Ignorance, yet knowledge.
Passion, yet serenity.
Chaos, yet harmony.
Death, yet the Force.

And then with a shout he charged.

Aurora sat next to Gorwoken and Gunther. She had hoped that Freya would refrain from using her usual language in front of the Mon Calamari Senate.

((I'll post more after I read up.))

Gorwooken sat next to Freya's chair in the senate, watching the preceedings. Truth be told, he was a little uncomfortable being watched by so many people. It was kind of funny that he, a Wookee warrior who used to tear Stormtroopers limb from limb during the Civl War, should feel so uncomfortable just by being looked at...

The Dead Space was in the seedier part of Ord Mantell’s primary spaceport, but the two Rapora that walked through the door weren’t familiar with the galaxy and had little knowledge of the danger they were in.

The bar was crowded with customers from a dozen different species, and all the locals turned to look at the strange new aliens, but all they received was a cursory glance, weird aliens were nothing knew to them. Revak slid onto a stool at the end of the bar’s counter and glanced at the collection of alcohols arrayed on the walls. His mind jumped across the unfamiliar names before settling on a lum with a plate abregadoe jetfruit. Beside him Calra ordered just a lum.

Almost all Raporan warriors despised alcohol, Calra was an exception due to the time she’d spent with members of the worker caste which was the only caste that embraced alcohol.

The bartender frowned as she took the order, apparently surprised. It wasn’t common for a customer to order fruit with his drink. Revak didn’t pay the bartender any heed. He was tired. He hadn’t had to make that many items purely from memory since his worker testing, and then he’d only practice the forging techniques as a hobby, until now anyway.

Behind them a drunken Corellian male stumbled from his seat and waddled over toward them. Calra visibly tensed, her lips uncurling to reveal the double row of predatory teeth. The man didn’t take the hint and pushed past her to the counter, “Hey Veira! Give me another hit before you give this gravel-scratching lizard a drink.”

Calra stiffened further, her arm muscles twitching, Revak didn’t care as the plate of fruit and mug of lum appeared before him.

“You’ve had enough for tonight,” Veira, the bartender, shouted to him.

“Just one more hit!”

“Hell no, I told you. You’ve had enough now go home and sober up!”

The guy was insistent, “Come on!”

Calra turned to him and snarled, “She told you no! Are deaf or was your mother a rakata fraggin whore!”

The corellian went red with fury, “What did you kriffin say about my mother!”

With a flash Calra’s arm snapped up and tossed him back from the counter, slamming him into one of the booths and overturning the table dumping drinks and sabacc chips onto the floor around him.

The corellian grabbed a blaster pistol from the holster at his hip as Veira screamed, “No Blasters!”

A snap-hiss filled the air as Calra ignited her lightsword and pointed the tip of its glowing orange blade at the man’s throat just as he brought the blaster pistol up. He froze with shock as he saw his death.

Immediately the sound of dozens of safeties being flicked off echoed in the suddenly quiet bar.

One voice spoke from the darkness, “Well what is the bounty on Jedi up too?”
