*walks back in* We will, Lithanus. Thanks for the request.
The move went... well enough. There are still a few rough spots to work out, but I'm house sitting for a friend for the next week (they have DSL!! biggrin ) so I'll be back and forth for a little while at least. Thanks for all your well wishes, and your prayers.
*can't help herself... hugs for everyone* I've missed you guys.

*smiles as he sees Lyn*
I'm glad everything turned out well. I hope you enjoy your new location, and don't get too bored housesitting.
*turns to Paladin*
Thanks for your prayers. The surgery went well, and he is now recovering. He had a spur(extra bone growing abnormally) on his foot that caused him pain. But now its cut off and filed down so he should be back to normal soon.
*grabs a drink and relaxes*
I'm back home frome NC(visiting my grandmother) for the rest of the summer. She lives near a creek and is surround by tall trees, its nice and relaxing just siting and listening to the creek and geting lost in thought. I love the the beauty of the smoky mountains, especially the fact that it is forested. Where I live the flora is brush, not the most attractive set of vegetation.
I wonder has anyone else gone on any vacations; if so, where?

Um... I went to the A-kon as my vacation... but I did go skeet shooting again! Man it feels good to vent and compete with a friend.
Have any of you guys ever shot skeet? If so next time try playing "Pieces" if the range allows it. Two people shoot at the same clay and after it has been shot the one who missed the target tries to shoot the largest peice before it flies out of range of hits the ground. It is really fun and fast paced, and at the range I go to trash talking is encouraged as long as it stays friendly so everyone is shouting taunts as they either win a round or claim they will win the next.

I came back from a trip downstate on tuesday, though I would give a lot to just go back there. crying I have a wedding to go to this afternoon for a family friend, I hope it goes well. There are some differences between many of the people attending, especially amoung the teenage/twenty-ish crowd. Makes me wonder, if and when, I have a wedding, if my parents won't show because I'll allow dancing and drinking (small amounts only) because it's against their religion to drink or dance. neutral I hate complications.
Glad to see you back for a little while Lyn, how is the house sitting going??
Lith, I'm glad that your uncle went through surgery well and hope the recovery goes smooth as well.
I've never skeet shot, but it sounds like a lot of fun Paladin ^^.

The house sitting is going great-- only thing is I have a VERY opinionated 17-year-old cat to take care of while my host family is away. Poor thing has to take antibiotics twice a day, and she hates it royally. Ugh, I can't say I blame her, though.

I hate forcing my dogs to take pills... you have to stick them in the back of their mouth and hold it shut until they swallow. Unpleasant for both sides.

I'm lucky. To get my dog to take pills all I have to do is coat them with the canned cheese stuff and she just licks it up.

I had to give my kitty pills twice a day - not fun for either of us either. But hey, he doesn't have to take pills anymore, and neither do I. smile Not that I did.....ok, I'm rambling. Anyways, howdy everybody.
