Ryou was just about to fall asleep from exhaustion when he heard Malik cry out so suddenly. Shaking his head rid of the sleep he looked towards Malik with worry. "Are you okay?" he asked and frowned. Malik had been acting out of the ordinary lately, and he was beginning to make the white haired boy worry. For the moment, his sleeplessness caused him to forget about Bakura.

The Egyptian was shaking slightly at the sound of Ryou's voice. That was the scariest thing he had seen! Excluding his fathers dead, skinless body, of course. "I-I'm f-fine..." Malik stuttered slightly, slinking back into the lit hall. "Just a nightmare.." He stuttered, curling up. No way in all heck was he going back to sleep now.

Jou jumped, Malik's cry reaching him down the hallway. "Wha...?" He blinked blearily, for the moment forgetting where he was. "Who..." he started to sit up, blinking and looking about curiously. He could hear voices in the other room, but no more screaming... and then, another thought hit him. Who had he fallen asleep with...?
Looking down answered his question. He blinked again, feeling a little dizzy with confusion. Had all that not been a dream after all?

"I-It was just a dream..." Malik uncurled, looking at Ryou. Would Ryou really choose Bakura over Malik, and would he just watch as Malik died? The Egyptian hoped not as he brought his knees make up to his chest. Yami Malik muttered something in Egyptian under his breath as he felt the warmth on his chest pull away. His glazed eyes opened and glared up at Jou, wrapping his arms around him. "Sleep, little uke." The yami couldn't help smirk. Malik looked back up at Ryou. There wasn't any malice or hatred in his eyes. So why would he just watch Malik die? The Egyptian then relized something. 'Bakura hates his guts. So of course Ryou would choose him over me!' The large hikari, cheerful because of his solution and realization, crawled over to Ryou, sitting down in front of him. Bakura watched them out from behind the couch, his eyes gleaming darkly. He was barely conscious, the bleeding weakening him, but he was still alive. "Ryyyou." Malik crept forward, sitting down next to the other. His deep voice sounded childish as he drew out the y in Ryou's name.

((finally! *laughs*))
Ryou nodded and watched Malik uncurl and crawl over to him again. They had been through this half a dozen times already. It felt like dejavu. His brown eyes moved to the side when Malik sat next to him once more. "As long as it was just a dream...But you still need to sleep some more" he whispered with a little smile. Closing his eyes again, he breathed deeply.

Jou looked down quickly, Yami Malik's voice startling him. "But... someone yelled..." Even as he protested, he began to lay himself back down. "I don't hear anything now, but still..." He finally returned to his position against Yami Malik's chest, although he sent a little rebellious glare up at the one holding him. "And don't call me an uke."

Yami Malik smirked, showing his fangs at Jou. "I can call you what I want, uke." He leaned down and nipped at his uke's ear, then leaned back against the wall. Malik was crestfallen. He had expected to be hugged and soothed and everything! The Egyptian pouted mentally, then crept over to Ryou's side, a little uncontent with laying on the other teen's shoulder. He wanted more than that. But the chances of Ryou suddenly turning, pinning him to the ground and.. Malik barely supressed his blush of embarrassment. That ment he would be uke! Oh well. ..but anyway, it was highly unlikely. So the Ishtar resigned himself to lieing on the other's shoulder.

Ryou smiled to himself as he felt Malik lean against him and relaxed some more. "What was your nightmare about?" he said softly. He was curious as to what had been so scary to make Malik act like that. "I mean...if you want to tell me..." he added cautiously, opening his light brown eyes to looked towards Malik.

Malik snapped out of his thoughts the second Ryou spoke. His eyes were wide in shock. Oh Ra! "Er...." The Egyptian had no earthly idea on how to explain himself. Finally he blurted out. "Bakura and I were tied up, and there were swords over our heads, and you rushed and saved Bakura, then you turned and smiled and waved at me as the sword cut my head off, and...and..." Malik blushed immediately after he said it. 'Ra, kill me now.'

Ryou's eyes widened and his cheeks also rose in color. Malik had dreamed about him? And a nightmare nonetheless. Guilt rose in his chest and he looked to his hands that were now resting on his knees. He was at a loss of what to say to him now. What would he do if he really did have to choose between the two? He really couldnt admit, but he wouldnt be able to choose. Between the two of them, they both held different things to him.
"I wouldn't let that happen to you..." he breathed out, still looking at his hands. "I would rather sacrifice myself..." He couldn't tell him anymore then that now, afraid he would say something wrong.

Malik did only what he could do. He sat there and stared like Ryou was an alien that suddenly appeared from a black hole. Then, to make it worse, he began to stutter uncontrollably, unable to form complete words. Finally he managed to stop making unintellegable, random syllables. "What?" The Egyptian was cradling his head in his arms mentally. 'Oh Ra I look like an idiot.' "You...You would?" Malik finally said something intellegent, relieving his mental state. "But...I tried to kill you...In Battle City? Don't you remember?" He scooted around to Ryou's front, leaning down while looking up at Ryou's face.

(( ^^; Just so you know, try not to use the enter button too much *nods* If there isnt two people talking, you dont have to enter everytime he talks ^^ Friendly little note from J))
Ryou frowned slightly and looked to Malik finally. "You dont forget stuff like that..." he mumured and looked away again. "But that doesn't mean...you cant forgive..." His voice lowered as he starred at the ground, his eyelids still felt heavy from the exhaust from his blood loss that night. Yet he kept his eyes open, looking to the carpet, trying not to look at the boy infront of him.

(Sorry. I over use that poor little button. What did it ever do to me!) Malik sighed in relief, placing an arm around Ryou's shoulders. "You look sad. Is something wrong?" Mentally he was thankful that Ryou had forgiven him, but he didn't want to talk about it now. Malik himself was pretty tired, his fear of nightmares soothed by Ryou. After a few seconds of planning, he finally spoke again. "Thank you. I didn't think anyone had forgiven me. What reason did they have?" The Egyptian then leaned in, hugging the other teen.

((*laughs* Well I overuse the ...'s so no worries. We all have our habits X3 ))
Ryou shook his head. "Its nothing" he said, finally looking up to Malik with a smile before replacing it with suprise when he reached and hugged him. His cheeks started to turn red again and he felt his heart skip a beat. "You have to learn to not live in the past I guess..." he said softly and smiled lightly not really wanting to say anything else. 'It would ruin the moment...' he thought silently, his blush increasing a bit at the thought.
