Isel When they come to Atlanta, I don't care- I'm gonna learn how to say "Karasu, play Karasu, I want to hear Karasu" in Japanese, and repeat that over and over... twice.
I'll get tired after a while.
I don't expect a big showing here, anyway- nobody in my school save for a couple of folks I've told know about Diru. And we're the school that's right up the street from the venue they're playing. well im coming from VA for the atlanta show. Me and i know at least 15 other of my v-kei friends that are going too. they all live in GA too.

It's called "The Marrow of a Bone", and fangirling should be outlawed.

If they go hardcore, I'm going to drop them for good. I used to be a pretty crazy Diru fan when I was like...10. But their music has gone pretty downhill, IMO. They have done better, they can do better, they're all some of the most talented musicians in the biz, yet they put out tepid schlock these days. Is it me, or does it seem like theyre just not as into it anymore -_-; @Isel I agree. Fangirling hurts.

I love their old stuff, and their new stuff isn't SO bad... I try to support a band no matter which direction they decide to go in. It really seems as if they're trying to appeal to mainstream America, and I really wish they'd see that it isn't a market they should go for. I know they want to make it big here as well, but I don't want to see them turn into a band who is only in it for the money. D:
@Isel + Sai- Everyone has their moments. sweatdrop

deaf_by_music I've also heard that Kyo is planning on doing solo stuff. Has anyone else heard this? He's had that inexplicable poetry remixy solo album thingy he did a while back...otherwise, I havent heard much...haven't been up with Diru's doings lately. I never thought years back I'd ever grow out of liking Diru, they were so important to me, but time and age has told me that that kind of fanning isn't practical ^_^;; I had to admit to myself that no, not even Diru could s**t in a bag and get away with it. Gods they once were, but they just dont have it anymore...gotta make way for fresh talent until they prove me wrong! I still like it when they play their older songs, I just can't get into their new stuff at all. @Vampire Sorry, but indiscriminate fangirling ticks me off...

Am I seriously the only person who loves all of Diru unconditionally? ^^; I love the old stuff and I love the new stuff. I love the soft ballads and the hardcore engrish. I don't care which direction Diru goes. They could turn into pop and I'd still follow them faithfully to the depths of hell and back. -feels like she's weird for being so very very faituful- -huggles limited edition copy of Agitated Screams of Maggots-

They've lost something in recent years and that just really sucks. They don't stand out of the crowd anymore as anything really special anymore. The magic is fading -_- ASoM was such a major disappointment. Where's the talent and originality that you know they have? There's a time and place for devotion to a band, then there's also a time and place for hard realism. It's not so much that they're sound has changed. Bands change and evolve. Its just that they SUCK now. They might improve with a subsequent release, but for now, its a total thumbs down.

I think the only way I could be disappointed with Diru is if they started doing ALL their songs like ASoM. I mean, hell, that song was pure love for me. I adored it. But....one like that is enough. ^^; If Kyo wants to do more screamy, he needs to do more like Ryoujoku no Ame, where it's got a good mix of screamy and melodic. ^^;
