Ava saw the man emerge from the doorway and stepped into action, he seemed exhausted and not a fighting man. Ava jumped at the mans idleness to react to her and threw her combat knife at his chest.

It caught him off guard, usually he was so much better at dodging, but this one grazed his shoulder as his legs gave to allow him to duck by just that much. His eyes scanned the floor for just the briefest moment as they saw the body of Kasumi. They glowed red for a moment, but he was able to suppress that like all those times before. He stepped back and put a glamour on himself to match his surroundings.

Ava switched on her infra-red goggles at the sudden disappearance of the man. His body heat was easily recognizable with them and she drew one of her revolvers and shot at his chest. The bullet leaving a trail on her goggles as the hot bullet flew towards him.

The metal must have had iron in it. That was the only way to explain why even though it only his chest (the youkai had relocated his two hearts to lower in his body as the elve frame would not house them there) it still sent a burning pain in him. Fairfolk could not tolerate iron. He decided, through it all, to try and maintain a temporary shield of ki while he ran for Zelos.

Ava shot two more shots into the mans shoulders as he started to run to go get his son. Her bullets were blessed silver and caused severe damage to all that had demon blood, they liked to absorb energy as well and the man would find his energy soon depleting. Ava moved closer to him now, still keeping her weapon drawn.

((In eastern mythology, silver has no effect on demons)) As long as the shield maintained integrity...he hoped Kasumi was still alive, the urge to fight back was hard to refuse. But an eternity in Hel was not. Zelos first, then he would try and save Kasumi if she was indeed alive.

Ava jumped forward on the man and off the near by wall to try to kick him in the skull. Her heavy boot was aimed towards his head but instead of hitting him she pushed off his skull (or Ki shield, whichever comes first) and landed in front of him, drawing the gun in front of him again.

Hel, the conditions were nothing offensive. As long as the shield held, he would be fine then. To ensure it lasted longer, he dropped the glamour but ran faster towards the nursery.

Ava would not let the man pass through, she fired the rest of the chamber at him as he ran by. Unloading three large bullets onto his body, hoping to destroy his apparent shield.

It held, it would hold for some time now that Ava had given him no reason to pull a glamour over himself. Meanwhile he had been broadcasting to any ki user that he needed help. Hopefully someone would come, if not then he would see just how long he could hold. Having entered into Zelos's room, he picked his son up and held him within the shield.

Ava was very annoyed at this mans shield. She did not feel it getting any weaker and she was annoyed that even with his lack of ability to fight he was avoiding her damage. Frustrated she boldly ran to him as he cradled his son and punched him in the face.

What had been deadly before was now fairly amusing. Ava in effect hit a simple wall, most likely her hand would balance back. He adjusted the angle at which he held Zelos, then started running out of the room.

With determination now Ava grabbed the mans wife from the floor, she was still alive but hardly holding on. Ava pulled her up above her head and followed the man. Running up to him and throwing the limp body of his wife into his shield. Making her strike his in the head with all her weight.

His intention had been to stand next to her and absorb her into the sheild as well, so he would also have been heading in that direction. In any event, I will wait for Kasumi.
