"I can't deal with this now." she pushed herself away from him, while at the same time knowing it wasn't a good idea....it was just too tempting to waste the rest of the day like that "They'll summon me for it, and I'll just, well I'll face it then." she marched upstairs "Let's name her, I think it's bad luck if we wait too long."

Rivven watched her wearily, making sure she walked off without any real trouble, wondering what it was that made her feel the need to keep a distance. It seemed odd at that particular time, but as much as he empathized with her, he couldn't read her mind. He followed after shortly.
"I don't have much idea in way of names. I think tradition in the mountains was that the elder council names each child, regardless of if it grows living with it's parents or not. There are no elders, and I don't care to have anyone with undo power over us or her. I'm unsure."

Coming home from the funeral, Morgan was trying to shrug off the odd feelings. Once again everyone had followed her, trying to see her reaction. And because her mother had been a nun of course there were the crazy mortals hoping to see some miracle- oh, the result that the whole thing just appeared to be a circus to her. "Yvaine, Rivven!" she cried out as she came home, impatient to brake the silence.

"Welcome back." a called response, yet in a hushed tone somehow. It came after a few seconds wait, but Rivven came down one of the hallways to the entrance, cradling the baby under one arm, with a few books tucked under the other.

"Doesn't exactly look like children's reading," she replied after looking at what he was carrying. It made her wonder if Rivven had noticed anything strange about Yvaine. She'd been marked as a potential witch (yet in the days when Christianity was little more than an obscure sect) when she was only days old.

Rivven would not have noticed that sort of thing; he'd paid close attention to caring for his daughter, but he would not have known the signs of a witch, despite his experiences with magic. "Hardly. Books I'd been borrowing from Quintilius." his face turned a bit more somber, aimed down toward the scripts. "Apparantly Levaticus tried to cut a deal with him, and they arranged a trade before he came to warn me they were here and sold them out. I learned he had them a while back and I've been paging through them. I thought I might learn some more... something useful perhaps."

She motioned for him to hand her Yvaine, and paused, turning over his words in her mind "Levaticus? Should that name be familiar to me?" Could it be the one that was so cnnected with Rivven's past?

Being careful not to disturb the child, Rivven turned her over to Morgan with the one arm. "Probably not. One of the fellows who came from back home a long time ago, the one's trying to kill me? Yes, he was one of the Children of the Phoenix, I only knew him because he controlled Richardo. Anyhow, both of them are beyond this world now, so it's not a worry."

"I'm hesistant to leave, but that woman that came here, Rivven- if she's invoved with anything that has to do with the clan, then it's only for her nation's profit." Should the three of them go? Before she would have ony volunteered herself, but now leaving themout of it just seemed, was rude the right word? " We should go down there and see what's going on."

"Pardon?" he inquired, a little taken aback by the sudden, unexplained change in subject. It didn't take him long to guess who 'that woman' was.
"The elven woman who came here? Well, I'm at ease just to know she won't be out to harm either of you two, regardless of any enmities, but if you want to see what's going on..." he considered. He wasn't used to keeping up with politics. He was never able to effect them, and generally it was just a different people to lessen the numbers of if one thing or another changed. But that wasn't the case anymore. Perhaps, it was time for a bit more interest, initiative. "Yes, why don't we go ahead and see to it."

Thinking about his past was leading her to think abut his current sitution- to which they had no cure for. Her lack of tack in switching subjects ws an unfortunate side effect of that. "I know her, and know that she'll try and take dvantage of Black Amber if we allow it. Quin my have already caught on to this, he's clever, but he doesn't have the experience." she didn't meet his eyes "I can't believe you forgave me."

"It depends on what you mean, he may or may not see what she's after. But Quintilius is suspicious, he'll assume anyone is working to their own advantage unless he has-" he stopped, blinking as her next sentence confused him. He couldn't figure out any plausable correlation between the current conversation and this.
"Forgave you? I'm sorry, for what?" he was very confused, and looked it. That she was looking away, that was a bad sign. Something was seriously wrong, bothering her.

Unless? She really should check their dughter out later, see about the marks and so on. who knew, there might be something there. Too bad about the chakra, or else she could already start broadcasting simple things to her baby.
"To start with? Quin."

Suddenly, Rivven felt very edgy. That only brought one thing to mind, but it couldn't be that. She didn't remember, she didn't remember anything from when she'd been effected by the curse, he'd already seen evidence of that. But if it wasn't something from the curse, then was it something since, or...
"What... about him...?" he forced out, sounding almost afraid to ask it.
