When I watch a film that has a play adaptation, I nearly always enjoy the film more. I believe that plays often times feel unserious due the characters all being very dramatic. I enjoy watching characters in a realistic setting, though I do believe that plays will always have better music than a film version of a musical as actors is plays have very well-trained voices.

I have seen a film/TV adaptation of a play. I prefer film adaptations if I'm watching for myself. I prefer text adaptations for school because it's harder to get distracted.

I have seen a film version of a play in the movie tick tick boom which I really enjoyed. I have never gotten into ballet, but I did grow up listening to Italian opera, though I have no gone to see any operas and I'm only aware of that they are very long.

Have you ever attended a professional drama performance? Which type of drama was it (play, opera, musical, dance)?
I have never attended a professional drama performance before. I would love to go see a play on Broadway; I think it would be cool. The only play I have seen before was "Greece," which was the play my high school did.

What is the last play you read? Did you enjoy it?
The last play that I read was 12 angry men. We read it in class in 8th grade. It was a very interesting play, and I recommend everyone to read it. There is a film as well.

I briefly remember attending an opera as a school field trip when I was younger at a museum but I do not remember what it consisted of. I believe it was at the MET. I was too young to actually remember it or really be interested.

No, I haven't seen a musical drama. I don't really think I would enjoy a musical though. I would rather see a normal play instead of a musical.

What is your experience with opera and ballet?
I haven't seen either of these. I couldn't really see myself wanting to attend either. They don't really appeal to me.

Yes, I have seen the film adaptation of the play 12 Angry Men. I definitely enjoyed the film more. I'm not much of a reader, and I like to follow visuals a lot more. It's easier to follow along with the story too.

Besides the plays in class, the last play I remember reading is Macbeth in middle school. I did enjoy the play because we got to act it out as we read, along with having assigned popcorn readers. This helped me understand the play more in depth as we got see the emotions of the characters.

The only one I can think of is the Joker musical I watched a few months back. It has drama and psychological thriller. I honestly did not really like it. I would say it wasn’t very fitting for the characters. I also don’t really enjoy musicals but I would be open to watching others and see if it was the character’s influence more than the musical style that affects my opinion.
