Ashral debated more on it, looking at her injured leg then at their hands, eyes narrowing thoughtfully. She looked to Ree with a more serious look. "I changed my mind. I want to stay. I dont trust her. And I promised I would protect you. Even from myself." she spoke then looked over to Marion, giving an intense glare at her, baring fangs. "Besides... if she truly wishes to push me to my limits, I'd be glad to show her just how dangerous I can become... since she missed out on my fight with her sister's minions." She looked back to Ree and her gaze softened, despite her heart beat beginning to race as the feeling was returning to want to kill him, she shoved the urge down as hard as she could. "I'm not ready to give up.. I swore I'd stay by your side, and that is what I am going to do." she commented as she tightened her grip on his hand very slightly as a show of confidence and certainty, even if it was beginning to hurt her hand to do so.
Marion watched them, meeting Ashral's glare with one of her own before blinking and her expression softening slightly as she looked just as fearful at Ashral as she had Ree. Although, she remained silent, it look like it might have only been because she was gagged.

Ree looked up at her seriously as she spoke, nodding as she mention not trusting Marion and looking faintly grateful and sad as she repeated her promise. He tightened his grip slightly in returned before relaxing it and scooting to the side. " And I will stay by you...you won't be alone" he said quietly, sadly noting the slight change in her gaze as she watched him...still fighting. " Come, sit. " he motioned by him tiredly, inviting danger but trusting her as well. If she failed it would be painful only for a bit if she was quick. "I was considering ungagging her but...it would be pointless I think. "He said with a mild glance at Marion. " Just a few more hours and what ever they choose" he muttered pulling his wings to the side as he looked up at her. He was content to wait till then, just watching her until she was taken away. Then...likely not going, the less people seeing him would likely be better. His voice would just be one more in many, anyways as he sighed heavily.

Ashral kept an eye on Marion, but otherwise sat with Ree, knowing she wouldn't be able to walk far on her own anyway. She felt his grip tighten slightly paired with his words made her heart swell, and could swear she felt her soul get brighter, stronger. She smiled and nodded at him, the urge to kill him subsiding easier now as her thoughts of how she felt about him drowned out the feeling of bloodlust.
Just a few hours. She felt that would be fine. Just resting her head against him again and waiting patiently. She felt much more at peace her with him, just sighing with content.
It took another hour before Vina came back into the room, looking over at Marion first before looking to Ree and Ashral and gave a nod. "...it's time."
Marion's eyes widened as Vina entered the room and began to thrash and emit muffled panicked screams.
Vina frowned and moved to try to grab Marion with some difficultly as the girl wouldn't go willingly and was resisting with all her stength.

Ree flicked his gaze to her quickly and stared, watching Ashral's soul brighten compared to moments before. The brightness brought a very faint smile to his face, feeling slightly more hopeful for no reason he could discern. It was hard now not to try and close his eyes, leaning a little more against Ashral's shoulder as she leaned back. For a moment his eyes did close and he let out a soft sigh as he sensed the warmth of Ashral's aura. (Soul Link). A minute later he snapped his eyes open with a rush of panic, focusing directly at Marion then relaxing as he pulled away from Ashral a bit. Falling asleep would be so easy now, something he didn't think he would be able to do when he offered his help. Focusing on Marion again he went right back to trying to deactivate the spirit sight as he had been practicing originally. //so soon..// he muttered mentally to himself as Vina opened the door and stepped though saying it was time. He expected it to have taken longer, maybe even days but was secretly relieved that it didn't. "...." he let out a soft sigh and looked at Ashral. "Getting up" he warned before doing so and moving to help Vina on Marion's other side. He could easily lift her up with telekinesis but for appearances sake he would rather not use his powers for the moment.

Ashral tensed as Vina entered entering to announce it was time to take Marion to the trial. She watched as Vina attempted to get her to stand but Marion was fighting against it. So much that Ree got up. Ashral moved to let Ree do so as she stood there, trying not to put pressure on her hurt leg.
Marion couldn't to struggle against their grasp but between Vina and Ree, she did not have the strength to fully stop them from moving her to the town square. A crowd of townspeople gathered as they watched them bring Marion to a platform in front of everyone. It was eerily quiet unlike the time Ree had seen Rika be set ablaze by her accusers.
Ashral tried to keep up with them, meeting up with Giselle who was there in the back of the crowd with Nero watching from the distance. Nero immediately noticed she was limping and held out his arms to offer to pick her up. Ashral was hesitant but a nod from Giseele helped her relax about the idea and nodded. Nero scooped her up to hold in his arms until Ree returned so she wouldn't have to stand. Ashral tensed up regardless, her breath quickening before she was slowly getting used to it, still being rigid from the touch of another person like this regardless.
Marq, Katarina, Cinder, Mercy, and Peter were all already there toward the front of the crowd watching, waiting. Everyone appeared to be anxious for this trial, wanting to hear what she had to say for herself first and foremost.

Ree helped lead, near carry, Marion out into the crowd outside. His heartbeat kicking up a few notches at seeing the size of the gathering and comparing it to the one that had attended Rika's burning with a flicker of concern. However the serious air that permeated the surroundings prevented him from drawing more analogies between the two. Something he was grateful for, this wasn't the bloodthirsty "justice" it was with Rika at least. He had not noticed Ashral follow but as he turned he could barely note her in Nero'/ arm, back along the way they had come from. Then the rest of the house makes up near the front if the crowd. Casting a glance at Vina he realized he had no idea how this was going to be done, or if she still needed his help to keep Marion up on the stage. " Need me here?" He asked quietly, just loud enough for Vina to hear him.

Vina pushed Marion to a kneel and tied the excess of the rope that held her wrists together to a piece in the platform to prevent her from standing or trying to break out easily. Looking to Ree she shook her head, "You dont have to stay, I have this handled. Thank you.. for everything, as always."
Ashral was watching Marion and Ree intently as they moved her, making sure she still kept them within sight so she could react quickly should anything happen.

Ree looked faintly surpised then nodded quietly in return as he stepped away from Marion and headed back the way they had come from. He could almost feel a sense of pity for her but it was very mild, very mild as he could finally see blue skies and not the purple tinted area again. Or maybe he was thinking of what awaited him if he was caught by the mainland alive... Moving back to Ashral he stopped by Nero staring at the feral with a faint look of gratitude. " Thank you" he said quietly for Ashral, glad to see them...not fighting after what happened.

As Ree was leaving the platform, Marq had stepped up. He said nothing to Ree, only a slight nod of approval as they passed each other. It appeared he was adamant about helping Vina with this.
Vina kept a peripheral on Ree as she looked to Marq then down to Marion.
Ashral maintain focus on Ree as he began to make his way back toward them, only averting her eyes as soon as he was within a few feet distance from them. Nero appeared to look up to him although the hair in his face made it hard to see whether he was staring at Ree or at the stage. That was until he motioned to hand Ashral over to him should he want to take, which knowing a sense of familiarity, he knew he likely would. Ashral blinked at the action, glancing to Nero but then looking to Ree with a slight hint of embarrassment for having to be handled this way but was coming to terms with it. Besides, it was Ree. She moved to hold out her arms to him, wanting to just be closer to him right now.
Giselle seemed absolutely enraptured by the trial about to happen but also showed a look of worry. Everyone was quiet. Even she knew this was very uncommon for these types of things, and didn't know how to handle this.

Ree paused and looked between them, reaching out automatically to take Ashral back when Nero held her out. It was hard not to notice the look of embaressment on her face and he could easily attribute it to why . " Just for today " he muttered quietly to her, staring searchingly at her face as he tried to convey the sincerity of what he said before. He was going to try and fix what he broke, knowing how it felt to be helpless even if she seem to be accepting of it for the moment. He was actually surprised she didn't hate him for what he did or even shout for him to stop since she had been awake. The lack of those things just compounded the guilt as he pulled her close to him as if she was a child. Glancing back he stared silently at Marq and Vina on the stage, remembering the faint look of approval from the other archangel with a hint of brightness. He was never sure right now what he was doing, just doing. Turning he look toward Grisella and Nero as he moved back to the door. " We're going inside before they ungag her" he said quietly. " Encase her first words are an order and not an explanation " he said knowing they would understand as he carried Ashral back inside, closing the door behind him but not locking it. With so many people there Ashral could still do damage with her powers and it was better not to tempt Marion into doing so. Moving back up the stairs he moved back into the room he had first woke up in and stood there quietly. " Where would you like me to put you down?" He asked quietly, even if they were inside he still wanted to listen to the trial, see if Marion answered anything as well as be close by encase of trouble. If she shouted her command into the crowd, hoping Ashral was there he still had time to counter it..which was why they were here.

Ashral nodded slowly as he assured it would only be for today. His promise to fix her the next day still holding true by his word. She shifted into his arms to make it comfortable, exhaling slowly.
Giselle didn't seem to be paying attention at all to what Ree was saying but Nero nodded at Ree. "...that's best." he answered simply in a quiet voice. He silent for a few moments in hesitation before opening his mouth to speak again, more directly to Ashral this time. "...everyone understands." he spoke then nodded at her and tried to gave her a faint smile that only seemed to come off as awkward before directing his attention back to the stage.
Ashral blinked and frowned and nodded in return to what Nero said, understanding what he meant. "...i'm sorry." she still apologized all the same. She rest her head closer, leaning on Ree's chest as he moved back into the house. As they made it back to the room she looked to him thoughtfully. "...the bed is fine." she answered him, let him put her down as she sat on the edge of the bed. She could still hear people outside, but not as well. Something that worried her, but none the less, might be needed if they wanted to know why she was brought back.
-----
Vina took a calm breath and had a look of determination and stoicism. "People of Ebonfall, I speak out to you today as your Lady of this land. We fought for the liberation of our island, against Miss Lena and we were victorious. The purple sky has vanished and we are no longer a slave to it's walls. We are free people." she started before looked over to Marion. "This is the last lineage to the Von Helm heritage besides myself that exists. And I may have been a fool to believe her innocence in all this, it has been brought to my attention that she may in fact be a conspirator to the oppression of Ebonfall itself. She has brought back others from the dead just as Lady Carmella and Miss Lena had before. She has been controlling spirits and coercing with outside sources. Marion is accused of treason to this land just in the same as Lena. I will give her a chance to speak for herself in defense of the crimes she has been accused of. Afterwards, her fate will be decided by the people." Taking a breath she moved to ungag Marion.
"I didn't do anything wrong!" Marion immediately shouted. "I hit Ashral but I didn't do all that other stuff!" she exclaimed, actually talking to Vina.
Vina narrowed her eyes, "I don't know why you are trying to convince me. You should be talking to the crowd, they are the ones deciding what will happen to you. So tell us, who was the man that helped you in resurrecting Ashral?'
"I don't know. I didn't do it."
"Then how did she come back?"
"I have no idea!"
Vina stared at her, "You used commands on her, you controlled her soul."
"I can't-... I didn't do any of that at all! I don't know how to control people!"
"Fine, who was supplying the Ebonfall with military grade weapons?"
"....what? Why would I know anything about that??" Marion appeared confused and distressed now.
"You're telling me your family dealt with military weaponry and you had no knowledge of it?"
"Well, did you?!"
".......no."
"Then why would I?!"
Vina gave her a glare. "Why was Carmella keeping the purple sky?"
"I don't know."
"Why were you all creating Vampires?"
"I don't know. They brought in people from the mainland. They'd become servants. That's all I know."
"So basically, you don't know anything."
"I don't know anything about what you're talking about."
Vina sighed, and looked to the crowd, waiting.
They muttered and deliberated among each other before they began to shout for her execution, calling Marion a liar and traitor. As the crowd began to roar up, calling for her death, Marion's eyes widened in fear, tears building fast as she broke down crying. "I DIDN'T DO IT!! PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!!" she shouted in distress as tears overwhelmed her face but the crowd didn't seem to care. Vina looked unsure, struggling with giving the people what they wanted but also falling for whatever Marion was now saying. This similar situation to when they burned witches in the square. She began to question whether this was right even if she felt the same way as the crowd and had no reason to believe otherwise.

Ree nodded quietly and moved to the bed and set her down on it as he moved to sit on the edge, within easy reach if she wanted to continue leaning against him. Shifting back a bit more he rested his back and wings against the headrest as he turned his head toward the window, trying to think of the pros and cons of opening the window. Using telekinesis he opened it a few inches so sound could filter through but not enough if Marion called out to Ashral that she could leap out without thought. Closing his eyes he listened intently, frowning at the tone of the crowd. This wasn't a trial ... even if he wish to see her ...he didn't know. "I'll be back" he said to Ashral with a look of concern, every time he left her alone something happened that he was starting to become paranoid doing so. Shaking his wings he took a breath, he couldn't think like that ...she would be right here..but there was still that man who had help bring her back. He moved to the window and hesitated waiting for anything she might say before he sight teleport to the edge of the stage, this time not caring if he used magic in front of the crowd. "If...I may speak Lady Viana Von Helm?" he said quietly pitching his voice to carry from where he stood, likely in the worst shape of his life and barely caring, as he tried to sound respectful.

Ashral leaned against Ree and watched as he opened the window and listened to blood thirsty crowd roar up. She frowned as felt odd about how it sounded, closing her eyes and curling up slightly toward him before he spoke. She opened her eyes and looked at him and nodded as he got up. She just sat there and seemed complacent to stay despite her frown giving away that she didn't want him to leave but said nothing.
Vina frowned, about to give into the crowd as she ignited her hand reluctantly but paused as Ree appeared suddenly and she extinguished the flame. "..ree." she muttered then snapped her attention as she nodded at him and put out her hand to the crowd to bring them to silence. "Ree, friend of Ebonfall, wishes to speak." she announced then looked to Ree again.
Marion looked to Ree with tears in her eyes. "Leave me alone!!" she shouted, trying to withdraw from him but couldn't exactly move much from her position. She was clearly terrified as she sobbed loudly.
Vina frowned and looked from Marion to Ree, her expression hopeful for what Ree had to say, maybe he saw something in this that she had missed. Something wasn't right but she was unsure how to figure out what to do about it.

Ree nodded his thanks to her as his heart started pounding hard and he curled his wings in slightly in comfort. Something he wouldn't have never done before in such a situation. Casting only a quick glance at Marion and her aura before he focused on Vina. "Thank you. As a witness to what she had done to Ashral and the spirits in this area, I am against defending her for what she had done" he frowned faintly. "However, there still needs to be true justice. With everything that has happened how sure are we that she is not a victim to her mother and sister as you and the rest of the people on this island were. At the same time she could easily be one of the best actors I have seen or even another possibility altogether " he waved slightly off to the estate before lowering his hand and pulling it close. "I wish to suggest that she continue to be kept a prisoner and an investigation into Carmella's and Lena things be done to see how connected Marion was to their activities. We knew Lena and Marion were very close...how close and how much they had conspired to damage the island and their people is not known. It should be before we continue to know if to kill her or not " he said looking at Marion. "I do ask..leniency" there was a flicker of anger." if she decides to be useful and answer questions truthfully while the investigation continues. " he said quietly and looked back up to Vina, waiting silently.

The crowd murmured as Ree spoke, further discussing what he spoke now. Most of them seemed to still be on board for killing her regardless with the lack of answers only making them assume she was lying. Although some seemed swayed by his words and where considering this new proposal.
Vina nodded slowly but didn't understand why this wasn't the first course of action instead of waiting until now to suggest it after she had spent hours gathering people for this trial. Sighing, "It's hard to convince me this is a wise choice of action." she muttered. "But maybe there can be a consideration of leniency if Miss Marion will comply with answering questions honestly during this investigation and promises to strive to be a better person not just for the people... but for herself."
Marion was still crying, head hung low as Ree and Vina spoke about her redemption from what she was accused of. "I am telling the truth! I don't know anything about any of that stuff!!" she yelled angrily, distraught and upset.
The crowd appeared conflicted as they debated but seemed to come to a consensus that if she complied, maybe she was worth saving in the end. But as it stood, she appeared as a threat and they were apprehensive to give that to her.
