Which earned him a growl from Mufasa, though the Cosmog was quick to forgive and forget in favor of playing a game of tag with Mew. It was cute watching them play. Clearly, they were both more of the "innocent" personalities. Not that he didn't think they could do some serious damage if they tried. Watching them play, Alejandro almost missed the next battle opportunity, but thankfully, Diego had his back and pulled on his pant leg to get his attention. He pointed to a Bellsprout when Alejandro looked at him and the blond grimaced. That...was a tough on. Wasn't Bellsprout one of the Pokemon that primarily dealt with status effects? Well....It was a chance to train and, frankly, they were going to have to deal with those kinds of Pokemon eventually anyway. "Let's see....I guess I could use Camila and see how it goes."

Not wanting to go inside and crowd the place with his team, he took an outdoor table that was a little ways away from the others before letting the rest of his Pokemon out to play or nap in the sun or whatever they wanted to do. Reina, of course, took her place on his head before he went inside with Cazador - who Alejandro noticed didn't like having Alejandro out of his sight despite being opposed to affection - following. Was it wise to leave them all alone out there when he had two legendaries, an Alolan variant, and an Alolan starter? No, not really; but, he trusted they were capable enough to fend off any unwanted visitors. Especially considering what had gone down with Aqua's former trainer. He wouldn't be inside too long anyway. He was just ordering food for them and himself.

Once that was taken care of, Alejandro sat down to enjoy his salad and smoothie with the Pokemon. He made a note to make sure he brought Destello and Aqua to the cafe when they came back so they could get something to eat, too....Giving a sigh, Alejandro reached into his bag and pulled Pooka's ball out to look at it. He had ordered a bowl of berries for her, too, though he was still upset with her. Letting her out, he set the bowl down for her without saying a word or even looking at the Rockruff. He was serious when he said he didn't want to see her until Aqua came back.

She looked upset and was being quiet, probably because she knew he wasn't happy with her still, so he didn't know what was wrong until he looked over and saw an Ekans chowing down on her berries. Now, he was mad at her, sure, but Pooka was still his Pokemon and he'd be damned if he let some wild ******** steal her food. "Hey! Get the hell out of here!" Alejandro kicked at the snake, only to have his foot bitten; and, he was thankful for his shoes. Diego decided to interfere, clearly having picked up on him being the most effective to deal with the Ekans.

Victoria, Nala, Mufasa, Chica, and Pooka all decided they would play what looked like tag; if tag was everyone running around tagging everyone. Cazador curled up next to Alejandro's feet while Reina took her place on his head and Hermoso, much to Alejandro's delight, curled up on his lap for a snooze. Which he took advantage of by stroking along the Meowth's back. The others decided to lounge around in random spots surrounding the table. Once he finished his smoothie, he figured they should get back to training. But....He'd finish it slowly. Give them plenty of time to relax and unwind.

As Alejandro strolled back to the table, he heard a quiet "por" and turned quickly. He'd never been so relieved to see a Pokemon before in his life. "Aqua!" The blond knelt and held out his hand to let the Vaporeon approach him on her own terms, but instead had to readjust to catch her when she pounced at him. He laughed a bit as her fins rubbed against his neck. Looked like she was upset or scared of him. Alejandro looked at Destello as the Luxio approached, giving his trainer Aqua's ball. He took it, but not before patting the Electric's head. "Thanks, Destello. I'm glad to see you two are safe." He stood, still holding Aqua, and returned to their group with the two. Pooka was ecstatic to see them again, but maintained her distance from Aqua. The others greeted Destello and Aqua with little noises save for Victoria, who was all but jumping into her trainer's arms to join her watery friend. Setting Aqua down, he was relieved to see she didn't move away from Destello. In fact, she actually moved a little closer to him, though not too close. He didn't know what the Electric had done to get her to be that friendly with her, but he wouldn't question it. "Alright. I think it's time we get back to training. We still have a lot of work to do so we can challenge the gym." There was a collective cheer from the group. Seemed the relief spread through the group and energized them, which was nice. Alejandro returned almost all of the Pokemon save for the two returnees and Mew, switching around the team so that Destello took Reina on the battle team. He would need the Luxio, Camila, and Perra the most in the gym battle, so he would try focusing on them the best he could. Camila the most. She was the weakest of the three.

It was going to be a burden to have to switch her out before she could even do anything like he had against the Meowth. He remembered then he still had rare candy left. Three to be exact, which would bring her up to match Perra at least if he used all three. Maybe he'd use two instead? She wouldn't learn any new moves, but she really didn't need any right now; especially since he could teach her Dark Pulse at any time with the TM he had. Reaching into his bag, Alejandro pulled out the candies to quietly debate with himself. It was such a cop out, but was a really useful one in certain situations. "Mew~" Alejandro gently moved Chica away from the candies as the Mew moved over, clearly expecting one. Absolutely not. He wasn't even using her in any battles yet, so she didn't need them. Especially considering he wasn't even sure he was going to give any to Camila. Returning the candies to his bag, Alejandro caught sight of an Oddish and frowned. That was...problematic. He really didn't want to have to deal with it with his gym team, but the others could still use training. And, Cazador was perfect for the turnip-bodied Pokemon.
