She runs and runs and then she ran some more. "I think I've managed to outrun it, but I'm not sure." She can still hear footsteps and the decides that she need to keep going. When she suddenly hears voices. "Shadow, don't forget to bring lunch. Practice you hiding skills, I know you can do better." She nearly turns around to see her family, but decides against it. HDM was not expecting a dynamic drop in event - he really wasn't - which is why he nearly jumped out of his skin when his pocket card started screaming he was a critical HP and he heard, then saw the Jabberwocky barreling toward him. Swearing loudly he turned and beat feet as fast as he could, charging forward trying to dodge as much of its attacks as possible, not really wanting to die. Apparently he was the master of jukes, as he only got grazed once as he managed to gain a bit of distance. Honestly, the forest had seemed so nice and lovely - filled with little strange cats who smiled eeriely at him.
Allan? did not expect a giant creature to suddenly be up against him, swiping at him with big large claws, and coming at him with white teeth. He did what was natural. He started yelling and ran as fast as his short little man legs could go.
There was also a stream of screeching and swearing in multiple languages.OOC  My character's username: MaybeAllan

After running for awhile she comes across a fork in the road. To the left she sees a health potion and to the right a second chance timer. "health potion, second chance, health potion, second chance, which should I choose?" She hears the jabberwock growling in the distant. After making a quick decision she takes of to the right claiming the second chance. At least the respawn timer wasn't that long, of course now he was back at the beginning, so now he beat feet once again, trying to keep his jukes up as before. He probably wouldn't be as lucky as before though. Yep - ow, the Jabberwocky hurt when it hit - but he needed to keep going. The jabberwock has caught up and Shadow is having a hard time avoiding it. Its jaw snaps at everything and everyone around you. Eventually it manage to hit Shadow as well. Luckily wasn't the damage that bad. When he came to the fork in the road, he immediately cut to the right, snagging the health potion and drinking it down. He was quite pleased to see his health go back up to a somewhat less critical level. As he sprinted away from the Jabberwocky, he got slashed up quite a bit. It was obviously enraged - as HDM had feared, there was finally an enemy with an enrage timer. An unbeatable one that. But still he pushed on as quickly as he could. He has lost the creature for a few minutes, taking a moment to breathe deeply and catch his breath. It was kind of a good thing that MMO dream him didn't have the shitty smoking lungs that he had (not that he would quit smoking of course.) As he felt himself leveling out again, he heard whispers, a voice that was familiar to him.
It sounded like one of his little sisters from Deus. He wasn't sure which one though, the voice was befuddled and unliken to any of them.

HDM took another massive barrage of hits. He hissed but kept running, he didn't stop until he was sure that there wasn't any further attacks by the Jabberwocky coming. Then he sank down onto the ground, oh he was so glad that quest was over. It wasn't so much that it had be terrifying, he had definately felt that rush of excitement from almost dying - having had died - but that wasn't why he was glad it was over. Now he could get his reward. That really was the crux of any game - the victory resulted in an increase in power. That's what he wanted. It wasn't like he was going to power level or anything, but he knew that in order to properly do well in the game he was going to have to earn power along the way. At last Shadow finally reach out of the forest. The Jabberwock loses interest since she's out of range of its attacks. "Finally! First there had been the scream, and now everything was still, very still.
JabberWhut had rather enjoyed the forests before. Sure, all the wandering around had been pretty aggravating and the lake, well, he had hated the lake, but the cheshire cats sure were cool and defeating monsters and winning loot always balanced the scales out so that everything read "Moderately Awesome." But no, good things apparently didn't last. There was a mob boss here that really really really probably shouldn't be here.
He felt his skin crawl and he slowly turned his head with mounting dread. A single eye burning with malevolence stared at him. Next thing he knew, the jabberwock had twisted its long long neck through the trees and taken a bite out of him.
A loud beeping sound. His handy dandy pocket card said that he had 10 hp left in what Jabber could only think to be a very smug manner.
Yeah...really much more powerful than any snake and eating plant...
Long white teeth were coming for him again. JabberWhut froze for a second.
Oh right, should run. He started sprinting.
He dodged another attack which grazed him slightly. 6 hp left.
Jabber Jabber Jabber Whuuuuuut. Oh right. Got to keep running.
