"I don't need a deep breath." He grumbled, waiting impatiently as Ami set up. The adrenaline junkie finally got his launch, and he tore through the air line a majestic blond bullet. He jabbed into the monsters eyes with his daggers using the force of impact, and launched himself away again down the zipline after completing a flawless backflip off the titan's head.
Otto looked a bit winded when he landed back beside Ami.

"Oh her. You know i'm not sure she's always looking out for my best interests" Which she was probably going to hear and get back at him later for in some hideously terrible manner. It was a little odd being strapped into a slingshot but she did say she'd been doing this for three years. "Promise to try to come back without any missing limbs." He grinned, taking two of the daggers from another hunter, before she sent him off. Which was probably the most terrifying 'flight' experience he'd ever had. One he was being flug at a giant nasty creature, two his scarf smacked him right in the face, and three .... it was a giant nasty creature. Luckyly Cass's aim was superb and he landed on the creatures head with only a slight stumble. Shaking his scarf out of his face he tried to find a slightly squishy looking bit before plunging the daggers into the creature. They went in a pretty fair distance, better than he'd expected. He paused to tell himself to cheer later and after sinking one of the grappling hooks into the thing so he could slide down took off at a run hobble back to the safety of the other hunters. [ 8 x 16 = 128 Total ]

Chel barked a laugh at the two lovebirds on the launcher. "Aw they're cute little things." She looked to Nevada with a flirtatious wink. "Nothin's cute as you though."
Such a subtle charmer, that one. Really covert.
"Sister and roomate? Well you haven't even introduced me to the parents yet ..." she jested, laughing and throwing her head back at her own hilarity. She detached herself from Nevada's side, instead using her hair the ruffle the brunette's hair once more. "Well c'mon then. Let's go find your girly."

Okay, even Ami was a little impressed with the backflip. She definitely wasn't skilled in the ways of physicality, so watching Otto tear the monster up left her a little proud.
"Alright, I'm not launching you anymore you little showboat," she said (affectionately?), "You need to take a break and that's that."
There was no arguing with mom on this one.

Jack's polite smile gained a small edge. "There is always an order to life, if you exert the willpower to maintain it. But you are correct: it always fits into play." Chaos simply wasn't acceptable, theoretical or otherwise. He was not religious, strictly speaking, but he did believe the world conformed to a series of immutable laws, some of which they knew, others which they were still puzzling out. Simple science.
He shook Kat's hand, watching Mark's antics with a raised brow. Thankfully not his division. "I might have pegged you as a simple enthusiast of the daredevil," the hunter answered, grinning naturally once more. "Now Suns . . . The spearhead of Deus, yes?" He meant to ask more, but Finn saw fit to interrupt him with the same convenient sense of timing he would welcome a bullet with.
"Finn," he greeted with a sharp smile, "mind your manners and clean up a little for the lady. You still have monster all over you." And he reached out and made to touch an as of yet non-blue part of his face and dust it off, as if trying to wipe it--or the rest of his face--away. Jack looked past him to the familiar Sun hunter and waved before wiping his hand off. "Fini, dear, lovely to see you again~ I will go ahead and apologize for anything this ape decides to say or do in the general direction of the fairer sex, he has a tendency to naturally offend all the senses--"
And then Jack stopped abruptly, not at the smile on Finn's face (what most people considered cold he considered normal about it, really, as he could reflect it) but at the words coming from it. Rigidly he allowed himself to be moved, an already overdriven brain processing the meaning quickly and yet still stunning him into a few seconds of silence when applying it to what he was now looking at. Who he was looking at.
Jack began to stare at Stormy's back, jaw clenched.

"Tch. Fine, whatever." Otto grumbled, kicking at some dirt. "I didn't feel like goin' up again anyway. What are ya, my mom? Molly been talkin' to ya? I don't really care anyway. Let the Sun dudes do this s**t...."Otto was obviously a little wired from all that playing work.

Ami actually cracked a smile at that. "You're such a baby," she said, smile turning into a laugh. "I'm not you're mom, but I'm not tossing you into a dangerous snakepile whilst unprepared, stupid."
She looked back to the monster. "Do you think our attacks are effective? I admit to not seeing much progress ..." Then again, Ami was always pessimistic.
"Have you seen Lex? I think he got away from me in the crowd. Come to think of it, is Eva okay?" Ami asked, looking to the crowd. Everyone was in chaos, there was definitely no way to tell who was who like this.

"Dunno. Hard to tell yet.." Otto drawled, rubbing his head and heaving a sigh. Okay he was feeling a little tired now. Maybe three times was pushing himself. But that was his job as a hunter, right?
"I don't bother trying to find Eva during attacks or missions. That's impossible, and it'd make me distracted. I'll see her after it all dies down." He gave Ami a glance. "And no. I ain't seen Lex."

Ami nodded. "I have the same rule with Lex. He can take care of himself so I assume he does. I just like to ask to be sure."
She gestured to the side of the launcher, which had a piece of metal jutting out from the side of it large enough to sit on. "C'mon, get your strength up so you can get out there again, tike."

Otto glared and jabbed a finger to point at Ami. "Don't call me tike, shawty." He grouched, sitting himself down anyway despite it all. Above all else he hated being called a kid. Punk teen? That was fine, but it wouldn't either fly soon enough.

Once back onto her wobbly feet, Abbi nervously dodged from foot to foot as she tried to keep an eye on things. Being on the ground kind of sucked, but honestly she preferred not having to crawl around on some nasty monster's back. Things seemed to be going fairly well for after a few more minutes, Ripley came swinging back down to the ground. With a cheer the teen followed his descent and even took a few steps back for him to roll properly. When he managed she cheered all the louder and tripped her way over. "That was really, really awesome! Next time we'll aim for the head for a better hit but that was still really, really good and-- Woah. You ok?" Bending at the middle the teen placed both hands on one of his shoulders to turn her head upside down and peer between his hands. Both pigtails flopped over and swung in the air, totally not helping. "Breath in through your nose for four counts and out through your mouth for six. It'll help slow your heart rate." Au contraire, she was obviously helping. A gentle pat was given to his shoulder before she righted mostly, looking around for... Anything that would help. Instead she found friends. "Fiiinnn! Giaaaanntttt! How did you guys do?" Abbi shouted to the two boys, one hand detaching from Ripley's shoulder to shoot up and wave them over. The two girls they were with also received a wave and an expected glance because Abbi definitely assumed they would migrate to her and the sitting Ripley. Because why wouldn't they? Despite the giant monster rampaging around, this was kinda fun...

The comfort was small, but she took it, even if it frustrated her that she still hadn't developed the right means to mask her stress when in the heat of the moment. Very unaware that Nevada and an as yet undiscovered friend were looking for her (along with one certain staring giant), she took a deep breath, exhaled, and forced her fingers to stay steady as she strapped Gale in.
"Bet the second time around will be easier," Stormy stated with a nod, forcing herself to be optimistic again. "Always is, right? And if anything happens, you can totally blame me and I'll go self-flagellate myself for the rest of the week." Wait part of that wasn't meant to be said. Wait where was her editing button again. Wait wait wait. Thane would normally step in and help calm her down, but ever since the dracolich had saw fit to give her the cold shoulder, Stormy had found that her particular brand of nervous neurosis was beginning to peek.
Sighing, she snatched one of the experimental daggers advertised and offered it to him. "Okay, show off, okay, here you go. Any famous last words you want before we do this?" she asked, forgetting to put a teasing inflection in her tone. God, she was messing up and being very unromantic about teaming up somehow.

"Yeaaahhh!!!! High fiveeeee!" Cass cheered, throwing her hands up in the air and clapping for her launching partner. He'd done fantastic, really!
Nope, her aiming hadn't been at fault for him stabbing things in the face at all!

Nevada snorted as her hair was ruffled and smoothed it down, leading Chelsea towards the mist huntress she spoke of. Though the girl was looking strapped for gear, Nevada waved before the mist huntress would be shot off.
"Go get'em Pet!" She cheered. Her head turn to greet Gale, smiling at him. "Aim true Handsome." And then turned back to Chelsea, "This is Gale and Stormy. The weather team." She waggled her eyebrows, "And my family."
Her gaze also turned a bit, catching Finn with Jack and Jack's intense stare, whatever Finn said must not be pleasing, but that smile, she knew from first hand, never dampened the chill of his words anyways.
The sneaky b*****d.
But for some reason, the girl got chills just looking at them, turning her attention away. What was this....impending doom she felt.

"You should be the one getting the high fives." He laughed, partially panting, as he found his way back to his partner. "That was all you ... i just had to stab the thing where ever I landed." He straightened up after a moment. "Even if I did have to do all the hard work of getting slug across the battlefield."
