Never Again...Herald laughed. "True on both accounts," he told her. "Though I do breathe fire." He looked down at her. "Might be worth a shot." He reached up and scratched behind one of her pinned ears. "if it helps, we can consider it a form of training." Will I be bound in chains

Never Again...Herald smiled. "If you say so," he told her. "Guess we'll just have to stick to other forms of training. Too bad, it seemed like it would be fun." He moved his hand through her hair and began scratching her other ear. Will I be bound in chains

Never Again...Herald returned Emma's kiss, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her up to him so they were eye-to-eye. "I hadn't really thought about it," he told her. In honesty his answer probably would have been something along the lines of "kill Atticus". He hated leaving things half-finished. Though he was sure Emma wouldn't go for that. Never Again...Herald laughed. "Well, not all the time," he admitted. He put his hands down on Emma's hips and began sliding her back down his chest. He stopped at the last second when he heard a strange sound and looked over at the other side of the room. A portal had appeared there. Although magic protected and hid their realm, one-way portals could still be sent to their location. Portals that could send them somewhere else, but not someone to them. He sighed. The fact that someone sent them a portal meant that they wanted something. It might be important, and if Herald was lucky, it would involve fighting. "We might as well..." he muttered before sitting up. He lifted Emma off him by her hips and set her down on the bed next to him. In the next moment he got out of bed and got dressed. "Let's see what they want then..." he told her. [[Exit to Mission]] Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma's tail swayed slightly as she sat on a couch and read a small book. She didn't exactly sit on the couch properly though. She was upside down while reading. She wasn't sure why she did that. Being upside down was just something that made things a bit more interesting. She was reading a book Mirai gave her after the mission they were on. She heard her and Texas talk about Christmas quite a it. Emma only knew a few things about the holiday so she felt a bit curious and asked Mirai to tell her a bit more about it. In response to that, she got a few Christmas stories which she found interesting and was surprised she hadn't read them before. ☾

Never Again...Herald walked into the room and sat down on the couch next to Emma, looking at her as she read upside down. Outside it was snowing and the normally sunny sky was a comfortable orange and purple dusk with stars showing in the sky. There was an unbroken sheet of white snow already on the ground and the trees had changed to evergreens. "Hey," he said as he watched her read. "Is that one of the books the little girl gave you?"Will I be bound in chains
