"I was wrong, I won't let you down-- you fill my world, you turn things around," he added, sounding strangely thankful. Was this right? To keep on singing, as he was? It did not seem wrong, particularly, but he could not help but question everything around him.
Question the way the world responded to him.
Another fragment drifted down, and he simply reached up and folded his fingers around it, pulling it towards him, tucking it into his bandages. "Soft, sweet, sing us to sleep, mothers of blessings who would make the gods weep..."

"Until the end, I promise, until the end, I do..." his voice grew stronger, for a moment, almost forceful.
He calmed down again. His limbs felt heavy.
"Because the end is coming, but I will fight for you," he finished his song, voice trailing off. He tucked a slipping bit of his pale hair behind one ear, and pressed his cold lips together.

"Was the ending too serious?" Subvy asked, his mouth tilting into a frown. It had sounded very bleak, hadn't it? But it had come to him without thinking-- he hadn't tried to sound quite so down.
As if reassuring him, his final fragment drifted down towards him. Subvy smiled beatifically, tucking that last fragment into his bandages with the others.
STOP, YOU'RE HURTING ME he heard, as if someone was dragging nails down his mind. What could it possibly have been...? He shook the feeling away.
"I am grateful for your company," he said to the fragments still floating around, as though they could hear him, "and I hope you liked the song."
With that, he returned to the Shrine.

Vast At decided it was time to explore new places, and so off he went in search of something new.

Growling, Sable snapped at a cluster of lights and grabbed on, uncaring how it hurt a bit to dig his nails into the smooth surface of the fragment. This time, he heard someone in an odd voice pratter on about something before being swiftly cut off with a sharp, "Zhi."

Well now, this was just too easy! Ace hummed to herself tunelessly as she scooped up the next piece, all but coming to her like a lost child.
She was bequeathed the sounds of high pitched, warped music, and someone boldly shouting words about a . . . marriage. Ohhhhhhhkie dokie then?? Whatever got her closer to finishing the task.

Making a huffy noise, Ace lunged at the nearest light and caughtit before it could float off. Yeah that's right no you don't.
Her final memory was one of someone . . . huh . . . What word did she use for this? It sounded like speech, but better. there was a different quality to it, but before she could figure out what it was gone.
Maybe the Goddess could make heads or tails of it.

Still pacing around the darkness, Nzsyoecsz began to take notice of the small grey glows that flashed at odd intervals at the corners of his vision. He reached out toward one, and grasped it delicately.
